  1. I don't think he means OFFICIAL SAU NSW CRUISE. He means it's an official cruise (not like some of the botched ones i've heard about in the forums) organised THROUGH SAU. I understand where you're coming from though, at first glance it looks like an SAU NSW event. See? That's what he means. I've been on all James's cruises and they're all tightly organised and well executed. I'm not going away in December- so i'm on board for this one!
  2. Awesome cruise guys About 30-35 cars. No dramas, got heaps of attention through the city, esp. George St, Macquarie St & Oxford St. And whoever complained about traffic lights making the cruise crappy will regret missing out- traffic and red lights didn't get in the way much and we made it in decent time! Weather was perfect, we all ended up with drivers arm though Oh and Ignition DVD showed up and got some footage of us (can't wait to see it!) Good on you James for another successful day. Looking forward to Wiseman's. Cheers!
  3. I recently drove through Dural on Old Northern Rd (before Wiseman's Ferry) and the drive is awesome. Nice windy road and not busy. Lots of scenery too. 100% guaranteed a nice drive if the weather is good.
  4. Count me in! Mmmm...pizza...getting hungry already...
  5. That's hectic Should finally see some footage!
  6. Ok it's an old thread, but bloody hell what a great idea! I did this yesterday. It kept p!ssing me off when the console lid would unlatch and swing open Is sooo easy to fix- Nissan should've put a spring in there to begin with... Thanks for the ingenious threads- keep 'em coming
  7. I agree. None of this bickering on Sunday guys! Only FUN otherwise i'ma hafta acka fool
  8. You know what...i think i saw Abo Bob at Brighton trying to race Manu as well! Looking forward to seeing all you guys on Sunday. I'll be wearing bells, if anyone wants to know
  9. Bad news aye? Wiseman's Ferry is a great alternative Keep 'em coming!
  10. Why?
  11. Point taken Yawn. Well guess it's a matter of trail and error to find the boost leak. Damn i didn't realise how p!ss weak factory RB turbos were til i got an R33
  12. Good point fellas. So it'll work out cheaper to get SAFC II & the RSM together + tune rather than something expensive like an EMU or Power FC... I'm gonna head down that path by the look of it. Ahhh can i still achieve 200rwkw without the SAFC? I'll end up with one anyway because the factory fuel maps don't milk maximum power i know.
  13. How did you find that out? Removed the piping around the turbo's? Cause i'm experiencing boost loss, wanna fix it asap!
  14. I'm aiming for the same. You went an SAFC II? It's a little more pricey yeah? Removing speed limiter is a must, i don't want approx. 200rwkw and then limit it to 180km/h, then there's no point making extra power
  15. I kinda like HICAS, took some getting used to though (feels squirmish around corners). Not bothered to lock it unless it gets in the way of powerslides (which i don't really do on the way to uni) So it's not gonna do the job? I'd go the SAFCII but not if i need to get another part to remove the limiter... anyone know an all-in-one piggyback unit?
  16. I agree. Better to do things first time round. Sounds like both you blokes recommend aftermarket ECU retune. For the extra cash i'm happy to spend, you reckon performance will be much greater with factory turbo?
  17. Good idea. I was gonna go an SAFC II but thought it's a waste with minor mods (esp. stock turbo). They're about $400-$450 + dynotune right? So maybe $700+ for a retune and limter removal with the SAFC II? Does this sound right?
  18. I'm not fussed with money- just results. From the prices i've seen its about $200 for the defender and the HKS defencer is about that too. I was gonna keep the stock turbo (a big turbo maybe down the track) so no need for a stand alone ecu- just a retune will do i reckon. That's why i want something to remove limiter, mayeb a retune can do it all in one hit?
  19. Thanks mate. I read cutting wire 53 also removes HICAS. I only want to remove speed limiter. So you recommend that defencer over anything else?
  20. Sounds dirty! I mean you should check the AFM's/AAC valve/intercooler/throttle body etc etc. because they all affect boost response and A/F ratios. I'm no expert but common sense is you should do basic maintenance like that (esp. on an old car) before checking for turbo wear or anything else more serious. The GTR should be zippy. You shouldn't have a doubt that its quick!
  21. So what do i need to remove the cut?
  22. The dude told me the defender removed speed limiter, and it could then hit 240! Thought maybe a retune of ECU could get that speed too. Why u think i wanna hit 240km? Racing & track days
  23. With removing the 180km/h limit on my R33 should i go a fuel-cut defender or get someone to fiddle with the ECU wiring (without removing HICAS)? I was advised by an auto parts shop to get the defender (obviously wants a sale)- but which is the best option for a mild modification plan for a 33? Also can you guys confirm if a stock 33 with the limiter removed does 240km/h? Or is it more/less? Cheers
  24. No worries i'll have a look. Try get some close ups, makes it easier. Thanks.
  25. Don't worry Nathaniel, with that GT-T you're already inadequate
