  1. Lol thanks for totally raping my question hehe. That's why i asked, before i made any decisions i needed confirmation whether to leave the limiter! Thanks guys, you might have saved a blown engine.
  2. Ok ok i'm in! I just wanna be on that flippin' list I'll be cruising up with Assasin from Olympic Park. And i'll be ordering extra cheese (Usted no es español)
  3. Hey everyone, Part of my R33 mods involve removing the factory Speed and Rev limters (i.e. using ECU piggyback). If i allow the RB to rev up to 7500-8000rpm what should i be aware of? Obviously the engine will wear faster, but will i possibly bust something on the stock engine (like head gasket) or is it something not to worry about if it isn't thrashed often? Thanks

    Speed Restrictor

I like this idea, it's some rocket switch sh!t hey!
  5. Here's the same question about the speed limiter, with some answers: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...er-t191450.html Bwahahahahahaha Aaahhhhh...no. When you come off a ramp onto the motorway it'll take like 10 seconds to leave 60km and hit 180km. Gtst's love to be unleashed on straights. I'm glad you agree. When a 2L hatch is out of breath at 160km a Skyline is getting really p!ssed off and keeps roaring all the way to 220km+, and that's with very light mods. Bloody brilliant
  6. If you want some hefty performance i'll add that there's a big difference between a GTR and GTT/GTST. So you'd be getting a great performer with an R34 GTT but it'd be shot when compared to any GTR. Either settle for something good and keep your car or get a GTT, or fork out the money and be blown away and forever in love with a GTR
  7. Ok i got excited dude But at least TG has enough sense to include a 33 GTR hehe
  8. Aahhhh makes sense now hehe. Thanks mate, i'll take another look at the ECU. If i feel confident i've found NO. 53 i'll give her the chop Looking forward to freedom lol
  9. Exactly Nathaniel. Couldn't have said it better myself. Yes, some of the convoy might think it's fun but they're forgetting about families driving past, getting disturbed and scared. Good on you James for your posts.
  10. I agree with you guys, 34's are cool cars. I'd even get one myself Maybe think about sexing them up a little though, from the factory they look like electrical appliances Oh James, i'm with you 100% brother. Responsible driving is rule #1 cause if we're kicked off SAU for bad behaviour then how can cruises be organised? Let's keep it light fun hey? And let's not give James a hard time, he's put in heaps of effort to organise the drives for us. Keep it up champ
  11. Good point, they're 17's on now. But i thought AT 180km the ECU would kick in, regardless of the rotational speed of the wheels. Is there a way to find out if my ECU is modified? I removed the kick panel and had a looksie but i'm unsure of what's what.
  12. UPDATE: I took the 33 for a run last night to see when the speed limiter cut in. I hit 180km and nothing happened. The speed gauge continued to increase into 'nothing' reading, i'd say it hit 190km before i backed off. What's the story here? Doesn't the limiter exist? Or does the dail only SAY it does 180km? ALSO installed an R34 side mount intercooler...made a BIG difference so i think i'll hold off on the front mount for now, and save for an SAFCII + tune. Cheers
  13. Nah mate not the stock one. If it was stock i'd want to change it to something better anyway. Because the Sat Nav isn't cheap i thought it'd be good to get it working rather than chuck it. Thought maybe give Ebay a try when i take it out
  14. Would you kill your own baby?
  15. Sheez guys! No need to have a cry about the 34's You can always get a Supra if you'd feel more original lol
  16. Wow, that's a messed up story. Reminds me why i don't push the limits on public roads.
  17. Great pics brother! I reckon they should change the olympic rings to Skyline rings
  18. Cruise was great as usual, thanks to James for organising! Pizza afterwards was hectic (damn burnt my face off though ) Looking forward to the next cruise. Also I'm with Abo Bob on this one. You guys are entitled to your opinions but keep the slang talk off the threads boys. Save it for the street because you're making us all look bad.
  19. U sure there's enough ppl coming James? See every1 there tomorrow, cheers
  20. Yeh James is preparing Eddy to upgrade from a 200SX to a Skyline I agree with Nathaniel- Phil get off dude, before you get defected for your floor mats or something
  21. Hey RLX RE, before EDDY the camera man does another powerslide
  22. OK is this thread about BOV's or farting or vagina's? I guess they're all related in a way
  23. Hahaha nice one Eddy- yeh ur a champion photographer, but i'm the best model Make sure you do another top job at the next cruise brother! You have to show me how to get my tires looking like racing slicks too Oh and MAKE YOUR OWN ACCOUNT EDDY!!! Maybe call it "Green Machine" or "Slyd'n 200" or "My tires are completely bald" hahahahahaha WTF? HKS front pipes, hectic! Oh and mesh over the front mount? That's gonna be one angry looking/sounding GTR now. If you're there on Sunday i'll check it out champ.
  24. BOV waste of time on stock turbo. A boosted turbo, full exhaust and pod will give you a sexy sounding car. Noisy BOV gives no performance gain like R31 Nismoid said.
  25. For what you want you're looking at spending a bit of money for a decent piggyback (i.e. $800 for e-manage) and several hundred for a good tune. Go for one of the better computers, stand alone or piggyback, is my opinion. Wolf also has a good reputation like the other guys have said. O
