Hmmm...bet its 33-inches. Wide Yah the 400R is up there with the best Nismo tuned cars, the closet i get to it is a 700hp version i tuned in GT4 lol. I'm not a fan of the 400R bodykit on gtst-t's though, which i've seen a fair bit. They're not beefy enough to wear that sh!t, with all those ducts n stuff. Only looks good on a dildo GTR shape. You'll never get a 400R, let's just face it. There's what, only 99 ever made? And there's how many millions of Skyline fans out there? Yah, stick with the rallying

Yeh when you weigh up the factors you'll either love the 33 because it's a good time to buy one (price wise and not too old yet) Or you'll hate it because the 34 kicks arse, or the 32 will always be the classic GT-R, and is in most ppl's price range. Dude, just get the 33 Haha Yeh the 32 looks like a door stop and 34 is a turbocharged LG fridge. But if it wasn't for the flared guards and sexxxy ass the 33 would look like a dildo. Too bad for us gts-t owners but guess that explains all the looks i get from 30+ ladies when i'm cruising Amen to that brother. You're my hero. Well your experience speaks for itself mate. I agree it's up to each person's taste, but weighing up pro's and cons of the specs says a lot for the 33. To get a 34 you're paying for two 33's, and they aren't that much faster in a line or through corners. What could you do to a 33 with the extra cash from selling a 34? You'd make a 10 second killer. I love all GT-R's, and i'd buy a 32 cause they're great. My point is about aesthetics mainly, the 33 is like a beautiful Italian lady, with a tall build and curves to make you cream. I've studied all the GT-R shapes and you'l notice Nissan have used the 32 and expanded on it in the 34. The 33 shape has been sidelined and will probably never be revived. The R35 even continues the 32 + 34 genes if you look closely. The 32, 34 & 35 nose all have three sides where the 33 is rounded. On the 32 & 34 the bonnet has a lip in the front which points down. The 33 doesn't. All the wings used on the non 33's, including the 35, are resting on 'stilts' or 'pillars' (sorry don't know the word) where the 33's are either rounded (s1) or rectangular (s2) but are all one piece. Where the boot meets the rear quarter-panel on the 33 Nissan have rounded it together. On the 32 and 34 this meets at more of a 90 degree angle, giving the sharper 'knifey' lines from the back. Basically the 33 is a one of a kind Skyline. I prefer the shape and wish Nissan/Nismo would continue the 33 bloodline before it's only remebered as a fat Japanese dildo.

Hey guys, My favourite Skyline is the R33, i've always loved it's shape, voluptuous hips, and tail light scheme over the R32 & 34 GT-Rs. But isn't it the most unpopular GT-R available? Well the 32 GT-R will always be 'Godzilla' and have the astonishing track record of winning EVERYTHING and it's the lightest, most trim and focused looking GT-R to date. The 34 GT-R was, until recently, the newest you could get, most technologically advanced, most muscular looking and the outright pinnacle of what GT-R stands for. And that dash-mounted monitor was a bloody fantastic addition! But the 33 GT-R, well it's a 'boat' compared to the 32, and is outdone on the track by the 34. Basically it gets lost in between its great brothers and is being forgotten. There is merit in the 33, right? What do you guys think? I'll admit dream GT-R is a 34 V-Spec and the 34 just looks better than the others, but it's too damn expensive without being THAT mechanically different to a 33. And the 32 is getting on now, it's an old dog and needs a walking frame. I'd go a 33 GT-R, yes. Do you guys have an opinion on this?

Before i check, where is the compressor? Sorry for the noobness
-
When i turn on the air con at idle the car stalls, and if i turn it on when i drive i can hear engine noise and smell burnt rubber. My mechanic said the A/C compressor has seized and the belt spins on it. Advised new compressor. Does this sound like the solution. I wouldn't know and want to be sure before i go buying parts. Thanks

According to your profile BKC you own a 34 VspecII...and you have no idea what a GTR is about? It's about performance and powwah. What country sare you from? Afghanistan?
-
You mean NVCS or whatever it's called? Would have no idea if that's the issue! Can't feel any kick, but i remember how it used to kick. Boy it went hard on stock boost . I miss those days... Is there a way to check if that's the problem?
-
It might be the manifold>turbo gasket, not sure really. I think it was replaced by the really smart mechanic. He also mentioned 'timing' needed to be redone cause of the lack of punch AND a slightly lumpy idle. Thanks for the tips. I'll look into it. Cheers for the pics. Yeh mine is a stocker, it looks so pansy Hehe yeh i'm running don't worry mate. I'd send the car to Nismo Japan if i could!

Ok ok point taken. Well as least i've had an inspection and KNOW what's happening. Oh and my boost leak problem (the reason for mechanic work) is still unresolved. I'm finding a lack of KICK that i used to have from low RPM. Before i'd press throttle- WHAM! Snapped spinal cord with my head lodged INSIDE the headrest lol Edit: To give you an idea, when i first put in my boost controller i'd make 10psi by about 3000rpm. Now i press throttle...wait for it...no no it's not drag setup lag...it's stock turbo & intercooler...very responsive...ok ok we're hitting 3000rpm...pssshtt. Sh!t all sound and power compared to before. Yeah what else can it be? I'm gonna get an inspection with the same mechanic...lol just kidding. Yeh there's something amiss here.

My R33 is series 1...you're saying S2 are ball-bearing. Are S1 the same or is it a S2 turbo? I assumed it was factory. Mechanic inspected it (and took the pics) and said it was "factory housing but hi-flow. It's ball bearing and has twin compressor wheels" blah blah. So i took his advice. Guess now with pics i can see it's not. Meh

Sh!t that sucks. What if you're all wrong?
-
Ok here's the pics: I'm lost when it comes to turbos. Tell me what i've got and what it can do. Comments comments please! This is the turbo out. Compressor housing. Turbine housing. Dirrty! On the right is the exhaust manifold stud which broke of inside the block. Sucks! All studs were replaced so nothing to worry about.
