  1. Here's a thread with pics: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/In...st-t185848.html It's very simple, on a GTS-T anyway. For a twin turbo setup check the link to the turbosmart website (in that thread) and you'll find diagrams to help you. All the best
  2. Hey all, Just discovered i've had a hi-flow turbo hidden under my heat shield Ahh, it sort of changes around my mod plans a little (meh) so i need some opinions on what comes next. The turbo uses factory housing though is: Ball-bearing, has 2 compressor wheels, unsure about exhaust wheel but am assuming it's steel. I have a cat-back exhaust (for now) and an R34 side-mount (on an R33) with factory ECU and fuel system. What can this turbo realistically make? What mod plan will i be looking at for possibly 250rwkw on a fairly mediocre/sleeper street setup? (i.e. something that doesn't spiral into a race-spec monster) I'm thinking: Front mount Full 3in exhaust Piggyback as a minimum + tune Fuel Pump Bigger Injectors Fuel Pressure Regulator Heavy Duty Clutch Possibly Oil cooler Cheers
  3. UPDATE: A mechanic inspected my R33 and found at least one stud missing from my exhaust manifold, resulting in pressure loss where the gases meet the turbo exhaust housing. He's removing the lot as we speak and will replace the manifold gasket and studs. He also inspected the turbo and found no play with the compressor wheel. Oh and he added that it's not a factory turbo, it has factory housing but uses a ball-bearing system to spin TWO compressor wheels . Not sure about the impellor on the exhaust side. I'm assuming it's no longer ceramic though. If any of you guys are leaking boost consider checking the exh. manifold studs for breakages. Cheers.
  4. Ahmad can keep my girlfriend He'll be bankrupt in a month.
  5. OK let's move on. SAU doesn't want to draw any vitriol from angry tuners who get a bad name, deserved or not, on these forums. If anyone is that keen to know tuner names then settle with a flippin PM. Goodnight.
  6. Ok ok i'll give you that one if it makes you feel like a man... Did you end up finding a skirt? I always knew you liked cross-dressing What happened to 300rwkw? Looking forward to when you get it working brother! Mine are out of tread (17x9) but that hasn't phased me! (on dry road anyway ) Yeh we all got lost. I was a lone cruiser for a good 10 minutes! Make sure the GTR comes next time! Good seeing you again Rory. And ur bro and the Lilac lady lol. Yeh good on u James for doing your best. Nite was fun anyway. See you all at the next one!
  7. Alien is Le Arteest? oui oui Hey Moonus i like your name. Yup. Rally support for the 33's! The R32 is stuck in the 80s and the R34 is a toaster! I have an idea for new plates for Manu - "XXX350" HEY HEY Manu, don't forget who thought of it Maybe you just hit too many gay clubs dude... Have fun anyway brother. Pass my number around Subbies if you have no luck
  8. Yeh i was thinking it wouldn't make a big difference. I'm gonna stick with a split dump. Just wanna pick a good all rounder. Thanks mate, i'm interested. If it's a great bit of kit then its a steal. I need convincing cheaper=better
  9. I checked BATMBL on SAU and saw their split dump+front pipe. Looks pretty good, but you said yours is custom? What did they do differently, the coating you mean? I'm happy to add $100 over JJR and get the BATMBL one, sounds better quality steel (plus you recommend). So the Catco was good for you? I'm not gonna go nuts on a cat (i.e. i'm not fussed if its ceramic/metal) cause i'm not gonna upgrade the turbo for a while, if ever (he says with a hint of doubt lol) Are you anal like some of the other SAUers and insist on a metal pussy? Convince me and after my exhaust manifold is fixed (next week) i'll head straight for the turbo-back Good to have some advice drawn from experience
  10. So Nat you're saying i.e. buy a JJR and get it ceramic coated? Sounds like a decent idea actually. Yeah cat is on the list too. Hoping RSPCA can get me a cheap one.
  11. I'd get one. Just unsure if there's better options. Do you recommend JJR?
  12. Hey all, I'm looking around for a dump+front pipe setup for an RB25 with stock turbo. I'm told a split dump will be better than bell-mouth as well. From what i know there isn't much point going all out nuts on a stockie turbo, but i don't want to regret a cheapo purchase (i.e. JJR stainless) when something a little dearer is the better option (such as CES), i.e. adding an extra $100-200 and getting stainless, or ceramic coating. I have a mild steel Fujitsubo cat-back at the moment with no plans for turbo upgrade for a while. Any suggestions for a reliable, reasonably priced setup with the aim for a pansy 200rwkw? Thanks
  13. Good meet up guys Nice to meet a few of you, and how nuts was Chatswood Chase carpark? I swear i saw a black 350z with the plates "DK"... From the Olympic park crew thanks to the organisers! -Omar
  14. What would the threads be without my crappy one-liners? I give it 8/10 for audacity lol Could have done with some more fishtail action though
  15. Yeh i thought ur complexion was kinda good last nite
  16. I heard silver R33's have an extra 10kw over the other colours
  17. Point taken Ok ok, safc would be the budget choice Yes, ur right i'll bite the pump...errr bullet...or whatever. Phil has a stockie or aftermarket? What pump did you get? And what about getting a regulator?
  18. I serviced my side mount intercooler with carby cleaner- extra 2psi I serviced my throttle body with carby cleaner- extra 1 psi Had to turn DOWN the boost controller. So exhaust/intake mods will DEFINITELY produce more boost because the turbo can flow more air and do it faster.
  19. Yeh was gonna come down Nat and check out the tune. So you reckon don't bother with a new pump (Nismo/Walbro sound good to me) until a piggyback job is done? Sweet, an SAFC is on the cards then, after i repair my exhaust manifold hehe. Looking forward to seeing how the 34 goes dude
  20. Don't forget the lube in that case
  21. Hmmmm...nightrider....i'm gonna wear chains and set my hair on fire
  22. It would be in an R34
  23. ahh! Better start polishing my GT badges!
  24. So it's like an 'entree cruise' yeh? You bringing the garlic bread then? Not too much butter on mine thx
