  1. running an exedy heavy duty, in my gtr, 340 kw for the last 2 years np yet
  2. hard driving ? whats that ? could be anything when its such a wide field to work with , if its hard to select when hot could be "the hard driving" has created hots spots on the flywheel and or damaged the pressure plate causing it not to release , best to have a mechanic look at it , if you dont and the clutch isnt disengauging properly you will destroy the syncros in the gearbox, so not only will you need a clutch also a gearbox rebiuld aswell, cheers.
  3. were are located in melbourne lol shoot me a pm for more details
  4. Just to update this for everyone, Vapour has just become usless. lol On the 20th of august we are fitting Liqiud injection to cars, Capable of any power and a very simple design with no converters , and 6 injectors only wich are capable of any power lvl, it will be about 200-300 more than vapour but its well worth it, currrently been converted, ( by rnd department,) xr6 turbo completely standard and no tuning picked up an extra 18 kw due to the discharge cooling . also beeing done supercharged 6.0 ltr, with IMPRESSIVE results. well over the 400rwkw mark , these kits are the way of the gas industry, cheers pete.
  5. zillion reasons why it could be not going into 4th, could be detens Hub and sleeve around the wrong way. selector fork on the wrong way blah blah . Pm me if your still having trouble, You can bring it to our workshop and i Gaurentee we can fix it in one go , or money back lol cheers pete. we are in melb to
  6. Had the exact same thing with nottieboy, also palmed me off i reported him to ebay as they are not For gtrs and he is a tard. They are only meant for rb20s silivais, the smaller boxes as these have the smaller bush and are a tad longer, im a gearbox builder of 6 years and he told me i had no idea to , lol hes just another scammer, that doesnt actually know what his products fit,
  7. those prices sound out of control , but it is what it is lol
  8. if u read correctly longer rod for not disengauging lol . (nytsky problem )
  9. Correct me if im wrong here but you cant have constant 50/50 split without some sort of slipperage or else the diffs/gearbox will wind up and go boom ! does a gtir run a viscous or something similar like the subapoos? i cant make shit out of the exploded view, cheers.
  10. Sounds like the thrust bearing isnt going all the way back on disengage, or to much power. did you check to make sure the new thrust bearing wasnt longer than the old? did it slide easly over the gearbox snorkel ? did you grease it ? Try this one , Put a longer Rod in your slave cylinder and see what happens as some heavyduty clutches only have a small take up point. i have had to do this in the past. Is the flywheel stepped ? or flat? did you get it machined ?
  11. Ive been using redline shockproof oil (smurfs blood) in all our gtr boxes including the getrag whores. Forsome what of over 8 years now and i cant stress how much i have never had a problem with this oil . Atf is what they reccomend , but i have seen it destroy high power output cars gearboxes due to the gears breaking through the oil and contacting each other thus heating up destroying the hardedning etc. I have never seen this with smurfs blood, as the Gears usally break before the oil on the gears is thinned enough for them to contact. all myths aside, i would not use just normal atf, maybe the one they reccomend But i can not stess enough that redline shock proof is the only way to go , my 2 cents.
  12. regardless to wat your saying thats common with air in the lines , as the lines heat up so does the air, i also had a similar problem so i just kept bleeding it and after about 5 times it was all good, Also use a high qaulity Brake fliud. cheers
  13. But thats only a poo stock conversion yeah ? were are your limits in regards to power ? it made 6kw more but whats the overall power ? under 200kw ?
  14. ive got an exedy heavy duty single, holding 350 rwkw np at all in my 32 we are the distributor for exedy and we can have them alterd for more clamping force. give me a pm
  15. No its not lol we use redline in all our rebuilt gearboxes in high hp cars like gtr etc, we swear by the stuff . it sounds to me more like this guy has a clutch drag or the bush in the crank , as reverse doesnt even have a syncro, ide be checking the adjustment of your clutch if it engages close to the floor then adjust it so its engages about half way along the pedal stroke, and i reckon that will help it to ,
  16. About time im also converting my 340kw gtr to gas , running twin service lines and twin injectors, but im using a different system and im going to piggyback of the power fc, Should be very interesting to see our results.
  17. check the 02 sensors? as these can affect mixtures at cruze. mine also pours black smoke under hard accleration and i also get the biuld up of black gunk all over the rear or the car, im thinking we are not alone , lol
  18. i bolted turbos to the manifolds before install . with garret-5s. i did front then rear as well slightly different than everyone else . not very hard to do Get a kick ass set of rachet spanners.
  19. i wonder how many people have done the same thing ..... i have + 15k engine biuld.
  20. good call but i got some to add Also the pivot points on the fingers of the pressure plate can also make it lighter . well actually this infact sets how heavy the clutch will be. less pivot on the fingers (pivot ring toward inner on pressure plate fingers will make it heavy,) a heavy duty clutch will have more clamping force but your thrust bearing might have been low on grease etc adding to the heavy clutch, i have a heavy duty clutch holdin 340 rwkw and its as light as a feather but in saying that i had it alterd, and i added a bigger slave, cheers.
  21. lol i bought high temp neopreem ones from a bearing and seal place i bought 20 for under 3 bucks, and they have been working fine for ages, take the injector and the rail with you
