  1. I still need help here please Looking at getting some HR coilovers that have damping adjustment and then getting some different springs made with softer rate to fine tune the set up, will the shocks have suitable adjustment for drag work when using softer springs? The sprigs supplied are front 8 kg/mm and rear 6 kg/mm, so would get two different softer rear springs to start and go from there, any opinions
  2. Whats everyones view on the best way to get a High HP rwd car down the strip, doing it the hard way and sticking to manual box and radial tyres, im using BF Goodrich Comp T/A's. I have a set of Bilstein shocks and some unknown springs and a set of stock shocks and springs now, and fully adjustable arms all round. Im tring to find the best comprimise on the rear between getting enough squat for increased traction and not to much so that the rear camber changes too much. On the front just aiming for some lift so we get weight transfer to the rear. Ill be looking to get the bilsteins re valved for changes in bump and rebound and getting some springs made up. How much do the shocks affect the stiffnes on the bump and how much is affected by the spring rates ? Also what afftect will sway bars have? i have whiteline bars on but my thoght was seeing we are going in a stright line and wont both the left and right sides to behave the same they will have little affect and if i remove them it may transfew to much to one side only and give major camber changes on that side where it would be under the most load. Any ideas appreciated and what others have found through trying different things, cheers
  3. i have the coil loom for both a rb20 and rb25 series 1, $50 each, pm me if your interested
  4. im after a headlight replacement intake to suit r32, i know tomei make one but anything similar will do, cheers clint
  5. I have a few parts left over form my car 1 set RB25 det cams, inlet and exh , series 1, perfect condition $150 rb25det throttle body inc TPS $50 bottom half rb20 inlet runners $30 stock r32 rb20 airbox compete with std filter $50 compete interior heater and air cond setup under dash $50 r32 glovebox good condition $30 climate control unit r32 gtst $50 OS Giken Multi plate clutch intermediate plates, good condition, flat and very little wear, suit 215mm plates, inc R3C and others, 2 off $50 for both In adelaide but will ship at buyers expence, email [email protected]
  6. lol, but we just wont to go fast and will do it anyway possible, all i know is 350rwkw rb25 is alot faster than the old 230rwkw rb20, just a pitty it costs a few $$$
  7. gtrs are the same as gtsts from the few i have looked at
  8. 86.5 or even 87mm pistions are good for a little extra capacity Any rods for rb26 will fit rb25 get the crank and rods measured before ordering the bearings nissan had different sizes
  9. over 700nm at the wheels on a dyno dynamics dyno is easy for a good engine rb25/6 with the right turbo and cams
  10. Use a metal headgasket, the thickness will depend on the pistons and head cc's so you can decide that once bottom end together. If you use rb26 pistions you need the rb26 crank as well as it has 2mm more stroke therfor the pin height on the pistions is different. SO just get pistons for rb25 and i would say 8.5:1 comp. I believe ARP have just relased head studs for rb25 head, pretty sure sr is diff as they have been avliable for a while and we couldnt use them then. RB26 rods are good for around 450rwhp with some rod bolts and prep work, but in the us for the cost any forged rb26 rod will do the job. Use std nissan bearings, along with N1 water and oil pumps If your using a rb25 head at 500 rwhp you will need cams, and springs deffiantely, and i would also add valves and solid lifters to the list if you wont a safe reliable motor, at 400rwhp should all be good std, but 500 very unlikely in my opinion
  11. The GTR bonnet has a massive weight difference, well it feels like it anyway, and you dont need a grill, look better without i think
  12. The gtst headlights should have the mounts for the grill still, mine do anyway also do you still have the stock sus, i need some traction , cheers
  13. Im after some stock r32 gtst shocks abd springs, or at least shocks to use for drag work, in adlelaide prefered, cheers clint
  14. if the box is push type it will bolt up, if its pull you can convert easily and costs about $200, once the box is on you need a custom mount, a custon tailshaft and a different speedo drive, do a search its been done in detail manytimes
  15. i went out in friday to do a few testing runs, did a 11.8 first up short shifiting cause i couldnt see the tacho as i was driving looking into the sun, 2nd run felt good but had no timing system so who knows, and then on the third run smoked it in first and 2nd but by about 7k in 3rd i wasnt going much faster and shifted to 4th and didnt drop any revs, say goodnight clutch. Pulled the box out that night to try and fix it hopeing the clutch wasnt the problem, but it has many blue heat spots, and this was a os tripple, but thats whats happens with second hand stuff i suppose. Was hoping for some good times on a prepped track, ran 130mph the week before. On a bright side, the morpowa lancer run a 9.8 at 14x without the nos on its first pass giving it the street tyre HPI under 2lt 4wd record but didnt get another full pass due to gear selection problems
  16. it was second hand when i started with it, not sure if there was a problem with too much pressure on thrust bearing possibly, either was, the friction plates are almost polished smooth now and there are hot spots everywhere
  17. Whats the best multi plate, probably go tripple, for 350+ rwkw rb with lots of torque and sticky tyres, had a second hand os tripple but that lasted 5 qtr passes before giving up, so i can either get new plates for that or start again, and prices and places to buy would be good
