  1. What colour was the Stag you saw yesterday, Angus? I drove home from Brooklyn yesterday via the city (had a few people to drop off), and it was around that time, but I don't remember even seeing a blue GTR in my travels...
  2. Ouch, not a pretty sight Rob. Glad you were unhurt though. The car can be replaced - clearly you've already thought of that!
  3. Shan, are mine (the Stagea ones) in this current batch or will they be in the next one? Please let me know so I can organise payment soon. Will be away till Sunday, but can send payment after that... Thanks
  4. That was my line of thinking - Yashio Factory supercharger kit for stealth bombing on the track, and it makes it nicer to drive on the street as a daily...
  5. No, not all Stageas have LSDs fitted. AFAIK, the ATTESA system uses electronically-controlled clutch packs in the centre diff, so there's always rear drive, and the split to the front is constantly variable. The diffs (both front and rear) are standard "single-spinner" units, but because there's generally so much traction available, the LSD is only really needed when you're REALLY pushing the car. Have a look at the WikiPedia explanations of ATTESA, and how it's applied in Skylines, GT-Rs and other north-south engined Nissans. There's also a few words confirming that the Stagea was the only RB25DET engined car equipped with AWD (scroll down to the R33 section).
  6. How funny! I actually asked Mitchell about the validation email. I can't remember what he told me, but I'm certain I told him he had to validate his account before it would let him post... Edit: Just checked message logs, I DID ask him, and he told me he'd validated already... That son of yours... *shakes fist*
  7. Yes and yes - most, if not all, R34 engine parts should fit.
  8. Merry Christma-Hanna-Kwanza everyone (I'm kinda trying to account for most religions here)! Hope it was an enjoyable experience, and here's looking forward to a good start to the new year!
  9. That new pic in the sig is sooooooo much better, you can actually see the car without inducing a headache now...
  10. Didn't see you, but I was kinda in my own world around then... Was it parked, Albert? If it was near your work, that must be the one I was talking to you about at the Christmas Cruise... Yeah, I only spotted you at the last second too, otherwise I would have waved as well... Yeah, I saw them too - the bunch of clowns!
  11. Me too!
  12. Mike, send a PM to Duncan or Shan and ask one of them to do it for him, or if they can't to either point you to someone who can, or let you know why it can/can't be done.
  13. Agreed. As for acid dipping, just ring around a few mechanics who do engine-out jobs, that'd be a good start. When you do any sort of work which requires a bit o disassembly, most (if not all) places have the parts acid-cleaned before checking and replacing them.
  14. Count me in...
  15. To give you an idea, it's the same lettering you would get on a sports-style jersey, or one you'd buy at the end of year 12 or whatever... That's the lettering I'm talking about. The SAU logo will still be embroidered, of course! Not sure if you've seen the jackets yet, Michael. Have a look at these, the new batch will be exactly the same as these, even though we'll now have a supplier here in Sydney. Not sure what the go is with sponsor details, I'll discuss it with the other Execs...
  16. Going by my experience, pink slips usually cost me between $25 to $30 each year. I think regarding mods, they have to comply with the regulations for the state the car is registered in. Probably the same for drivers' license infringements. Try the RTA website for more info, or give them a call. Personalised plates on a modified car are a cop magnet here, but I think the same applies whichever part of Australia you go to. Paying ~$400 a year is a joke, for sure, and even though my plate fits into the normal format of three letters, two numbers and one letter (eg ABC-12-D), because I selected what was on the plate I pay an annual $90 fee above the normal cost of rego. How fu(ked is that - they treat it like you have to have the plate re-ordered and pressed each year?!?!?!
  17. Ouch! Lucky most of the roof-crushing was on the passenger side, and that there was no passenger in the car at the time...
  18. Good idea! Would you people be happy with heat-pressed lettering either on the back or just under the SAU logo? It'll be cheaper than embroidering, and you have the choice of an arched design or straight across, as well as letter size being adjusted to match the width of your shoulders.
  19. I should be in for this too, will confirm closer to the date...
  20. Todd - The Dent Magician. 0432-32-32-04 And yep, he's located out West, but I think he can come to you as well.
  21. Spotted a yellow R34 with Sydney plates in an ad for some new Aussie series that's gonna be on cable TV soon, called "Dangerous."
  22. Nice car, Wade. You need to rotate that last pic and re-post it (I'm too lazy)... Hugh, how is the shoulder?
  23. Correct, as far as my experience goes too. I only get the shocks from ONE pair of shoes that I own, regardless of the car I've just driven, so it's not a problem with the Stageas themselves. As far as having both feet on the ground, I can be completely out of the car, and still get a shock when I go to close the door.
  24. And notice that the article is listed under "Research..." WTF?
