  1. First of all (as you know) you are not allowed to drive a manual with an auto license. You are allowed to if you have a fully licensed driver with you and you display the 'driver under instruction' sign. You will need to display your P plates in addition. To answer your questions: 1. Sit the practical test again. 2. Just the same as you did with auto, but with a manual car. 3. I would expect it will be driving without a(n appropriate) license.
  2. If nobody is coming then I'm not either ... Actually I'm gonna go down, at least for the drive. Get off ya arses people
  3. I might come down and let my Skyline have a reunion with its compatriots
  4. That first post had me wondering too...wtf is FI - duh, I was there getting my car washed on the weekend How long approx will a stage 1 or 2 detail take ? Do I need to book in or just come along and wait ?
  5. For that reason I can recommend stylyn www.stylyn.com I don't know if they can do what was requested in the original post, but they know their shit when it comes to car alarms. Will cost a bit more than the sponsor special in the vic section (and I can't compare the two, I've only been to stylyn). I payed $549 for Mongoose M80AU installed with certificate etc.
  6. Go whichever you can get in the best condition for the right money. I own a 34 NA but 33's are very nice too.
  7. Even 25GT (non V) came in RB20 but they are not eligible for import in Australia since they're well below the 105KW/tonne rule.
  8. Very nice! The side stripe / carbon bonnet and eyelids go well together.

Saw a 2 tone R33 (purple/grey?) turning into russel st from Lonsdale this morning at around 8:50am...looked nice
  10. Thanks very much. Started removing the seat but then thought it wouldn't help heh.
  11. I recently bought a 2 door R34. I was checking under the seats to see if anything was left behind from Japan (only found a packet of batteries) and I pulled out what appears to be a flat plastic vent. It was hard to get out, impossible to get back in. Anybody have any tips for putting it back in and can anyone confirm what the hell it is ? Thanks.
  12. It's strange that they didn't give me a print out. I saw them hoist up the car and have the things attached to the wheels to measure/align.
  13. These guys didn't give me a printout It was my local Bridgestone. After driving my other car and comparing I may have been overanalysing this. BTW my suspension is stock (as with every other aspect of the car).

Saw a white R34 sedan in East Keilor the other day, N/A with 16" rims. Anyone from here ?
  15. Just wondering how normal this might be (I'm pretty sure it aint...). I picked up my car this week, 2000 Skyline R34 GTV (N/A) coupe. The steering holds to the left mostly so I went to get the wheels aligned. Was told it was 4mm out at the front, 2mm at the back. Was told camber and everything is set up 'right'. The car still holds to the left, I went back and told them. They drove it again and eventually agreed so changed the tyres. We went for another quick drive and he tells me it's holding to the right now so it must be the tyres. I drive off and realise it's still holding to the left. The steering seems to very easily change direction when driving depending on the angle of the road. Even on seemingly flat roads it will veer and happens with / without braking so probably not due to the discs. So my question is how normal is this in a Skyline ? I will go to centerline suspension and try to sort it out when I have some spare time but alas that won't be for a while so just hoping to get some ideas in the meanwhile .
  16. Right now I'm out. By June I may have the cash to spare though, I'll monitor this thread.
  17. Because they don't have auto level function. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Xe...amp;pid=3747832
  18. From what I can gather the GT-V is a 2000 production model but was released in late '99. The post 2000 release models had the S2 updates e.g. 2 tone gear knob/steering wheel, white backed speedo/rpm gauges on the dash, the (slightly) ugly front bar and probably a few more things I'm not aware of. This confused me for a little while but you're right, GT-V was first released in 1999. P.S. If the workshop do their job they won't leave the xenons in
  19. Can't help you with the N1 range, but here is the FAST info:
  20. I a USB consult cable through www.plmsdevelopments.com can't wait
  21. I'm no expert but I do know the suspension will be different to a factory GT-T (unless it's possible they've changed it). Are the other aspects of the FAST entry correct ?
