  1. LOL. It came in handy this week. Draining fuel from a car which you couldn't turn the engine on. Through the boot and suck away. We got a multi on it.... 10.5 V at the pump terminals. Hmmm. Shorter cables with a possiblilty of doubling them up or a thicker cable with a 12 V rated switch, not a 240V. V 2.0 in progress
  2. Pfft! I dont pour the nice golden liquid down his throat... All i do is invite him for a beer! .
  3. Sounds like a big waste of time and effort coverting to a single, then only pushing 1.2 bar for the sole reason of not wanting to blow up the engine!
  4. Awsome weekend!!! Shame that the bigger cars failed though!
  5. Had both. Cracked two sets of tomei's and one didnt last 1500kms. This is on a road car too. Ported stockers I was down 2kw. This is on a 400rwkw car. So sweet FA difference.
  6. Yes. Poncams are considered the largest lift you can go without machining the head. They are 9.15 mm.
  7. Thanks Captain obvious! There was specific reason why I was asking!
  8. What sort of engine are you going to build?
  9. Mate now your coming across like a real tool, seriously. At first you stated you were going to 'push' these bad boys to high 300's. Totally wrong turbo for that. Then then said 'fine 500 it is'. That there is two totally different engines, setups, purposes and budgets. You have been asked three if not four times what the A) use for the car is, B) redline, C) what sort of curve you want, D) if you want low mount or highmount. You have said you bought the low mount 2835's because of defect's, which is great. Alot of us are in the same boat espeically those Mexicans in Vic. You have also said that the engine was built to take 'about 400rwkw'. If thats the case why are so keen on using two different setups which will go 500 +. Its like buying a 600 HP Kenworth prime mover when only needing to tow a box trailer! Most of the guys offering opinion's in this thread have built GTR's in their garages right now, get driven and have take a particular route BECAUSE IT WORKS! I, myself am going from RS's to -5's on a stroker motor becasue its a laggy POS. I couldn't imagine one size bigger turbo's on a engine thats 200 LESS CC
  10. This 1000-1200 RPM that you pick up although I KNOW it's true... But my head can't fathom how the car will feel!
  11. IF you did go to a smaller twin setup it's really only the turbochargers which you would be swapping... Everything else would bolt straight up
  12. IF you did go to a smaller twin setup it's really only the turbochargers which you would be swapping... Everything else would bolt straight up
  13. All jokes aside... How much power do you realistically want/need, RPM limit and what are you using the car for?
  14. Was that on a stroker motor? What a Awsome result... Providing it is not a happy dyno. Wouldn't happen to have that graph by any chance?
  15. Ash. Can you delete my double posts.. IPhone rubbish. Sorry mate.
  16. If anything they need a bigger rear, it won't help the lag problem but it will go along way to stop them sounding like Thomas the tank engine!
  17. Smaller housings on the front or rear?
  18. Dumps are here, 5's are in their boxes in my room. Just waiting on my Nismo cooler to turn up. Also should have the crank timing trigger (will explain later) to stop this timing floating around issue! Anyway, back on topic. Get a cat that is 4 inch in and out with the biggest body you can find!
  19. Oh god no. RS's in a 2.6L would have to be the worst low mount setup out there. They are terrible on a (my) 2.8. Sure you might make a nice big fat number starting with a 4 but you are going to be belted by a well balanced car with little baby -7's or -9's. On the pommie forum they seem to love the '2.8 + RS' setup. It is not the setup to have. On a dirty thirty they are not bad... But they are not great either. Once again te next size down in turbo size would make for a much quicker car. Yes you might loose a bee's dick in top end (20 HP) but the midrange will more than make up for it. It's up to you but area under the curve wins!
  20. What was wrong with how it was setup? Seemed to work alright!
  21. In in in. Will pay tomorrow and send the forms off. Hopefully it's a wet one again!! # 33 please
