  1. Hey stocky, ill take it mate, im northside brisbane. Consider this sold Thanks Mick
  2. Exactly my point, ive had mine 5.5 years now and i learnt along time ago. Theres always a point where u can drop it, anything that happends after that you can then thank yourself for. In this case it would have been the point where u drove up next to him, though you could say the first beep. Moral of the story, if somone cuts you off or whatever, dont get over the top with them, or you might just bite of more than you can chew and end up with ur car ruined or worse dead!
  3. Read the part in brackets, of course i dont think he deserved to be run off the road!
  4. A bov is not fitted to control emissions. It is designed to keep the turbo spinning when the throttle is closed, not slow it down and prolong its life in the process. Also i have the problem of my car stalling occasionally, i never had it before i fitted an atmo bov
  5. Bogan 1 ---- Anjoo 0 It was perhaps unlucky but anjoo you got what you deserved (a wake up call), perhaps you will think twice about the possibilites of playing with bogans next time.... I know i wouldnt be jumping on here telling everyone that i just wrecked a car daddy bought me the majority of as a direct result of someone cutting you off(big deal) and expect alot of symapthy... Then again i get the impression your not the sort of person that learns from your mistakes
  6. All i can say is just cars will repair your car with second hand parts, they will not give marked or agreed value, unless they consider agreed value what they agree on not me. Your repair quote goes online and the cheapest reparier gets the job. I am with just cars, spent about 3-40k on shit and i think they insured it for 15 or 16, i mean honestly by the time i get the excess taken out what have i got? change compared to what ive spent anyways. When i hit 25 i will change over to shannons, just gotta stay clean untill then hehe. Gets easier with age though
  7. Your gay and obviously you dont have one, they are fully sic, especially factory ones! Couldnt afford the extra few bucks is more like why you dont like them, hahaha. Seriously though why would it bother you having one?
  8. Steve, thanks very much for the reply. I just figured with all the raditors you would have sold you would have some more accurate info than its been running ok for 6 months, good to see you sorta do. I know the price is excellent and i guess that is partly the reason why i was wondering if they do much more than a stock one, that and i usually see aftermarket coolers that are 45-50mm in width. However i dont know everything obviously and would have to say i will be grabbing one of these puppies when i get the chance, whats shipping worth to brisbane??? Also what county are the coolers made in? Thanks very much steve, again top looking and priced product
  9. Hello, Just wondering if any testing has been done with these radiators fitted to cars that see track time. It would be good to know if it actually offers increased cooling over a stock one and if so how much. I mean its one thing to say a car has been running one for 6 months without hicups but is that just to from work or is that after doing 5 laps at a track where before hand it had cooling probelms? I dont mean to sound rude im genuinely interested and if they are going to offer lower water temps will definantly buy one. Thanks Just Jap
  10. Interesting, is there any advantage to this software over the datalogit program that most poeople use. Is datalogic as available and free? I will be putting together a 26/30 soon and am unsure what pfc i will buy (rb20/25/26) to run it in my r32, this software looks fantastic. Even though i have a dyno i wont be doing the tuning so would i be better off just going to a place with the datalogit and getting them to tune it. Sorry if slightly off topic, Mick
  11. I shoehorned a 044 in with minimal dramas, in hindsight i would have just gone a nismo direct fit. Worth the money as others have said. Fit it yourself and save a buck or fifty there. I just had to have the bad boy, but when i get around to it i will get a nismo and put it intank, and have it feed a surge tank and then (i think) to the 044 before going to the front of the car. Still have nice scar on my left hand from trying to get the pump assembly back in with the 044 mounted to it. Tip the edges are very sharp Good luck!
  12. Hahaha thats owned boys and girls! OWNED
  13. I would really like a brake upgrade and for along time thought i could just use any nissan brembo as long as i used the disc from the same car. For some time though there has been so much talk and probably many myths created about upgrading brakes on skylines. At the momment i think the G4 8pot kit that just jap are selling looks like a pretty good idea for my r32 gtst. Ultimately i want a larger disc, so i will use the standard 4 pot calipers but would prefer to upgrade them to anything bigger unless it requires alot more work. Im waiting patiently for someone to find a front brake upgrade that is suitable for use with the standard rears and actually bolts on etc. Any feedback appreciated.
  14. Gr33ddy, are these still available, i am after on asap. Thanks mate, Mick
  15. Fact is people will buy anything they think they can talk up to their mates or even worse actually think works to any measurable amount themselves. Next u will be telling me neons streamline the air under your car? Or that tubro zet meant for a N/A car you put in your intake pipe has take a whole second off you 1/4 mile?? Buy it if u think it looks nice, but you will notice no difference in water temps etc. BTW there is no gap above the radiator, it is sealed by the rubber than runs along the top of its support, Nissan aint stupid When you guys get them and test them i would love to be proven wrong, these are after all only my idle thoughts. Peace
  16. Can anyone say rice? The radiator support bar has a rubber on top that seals to the bonnet for a reason. Therefore all air going in the grill area/wherever is directed thru the radiator and cannot enter the engine bay.
  17. From fitting these parts myself all i an say is they dont go back in as easily as they came out However they will fit and do work a charm. Reading they are only going to last 25k isnt that crash hot though When i have tha car on the wheel aligning machine they are a pleasure to adjust Caster is maxed out around 7 with the whitlines bushes if it means anything to anyone.
  18. Sounds great, what was the pricing like. Pretty sure the guy that runs it is a member on here. Might be time to finally ditch the stocker ecu and get a pfc now that someone in brisbane has the laptop software.
  19. Why bother those things do nothing.....
  20. Pull the dash out it takes about 5 minutes
  21. I am interested in on of these for a R32. However i will be changing the box to a r33 one very soon and would like to know it will be ok to use after i convert the box before i buy one. Thanks Gr33ddy!
  22. In my r32 gtst i run Front Camber 1.5 neg each side Castor is about 6.5 each side (can i impove this? i think its pretty much maxed out) Toe 1mm out each side Rear Camber 1.5 neg each side Toe Zero each side What do you guys think about this? Could it be improved? Cheers guys
  23. Thanks for the replies, duncan: i would have thought i would want a ratio numerically lower ie 4.1, 3.9 to help a motor with significantly more power and toque than the RB20 i have now put its power to the ground. Also the cost of either bottom end doesnt worry me it might be 3k but at the end of the day id rather get whatever is going to perform better. Even if this means it takes me more time and effort to build a RB30 than to just buy a RB26 and put it in. About choosing a motor around the standard diff i kinda think somewhat along the lines of R31nismoid, that is that teh standard one perform pretty well when in good condition etc. However it is almost inevitable taht i will buy a nismo mech 1.5 way in the future anyway. I am unsure of what ratio it comes as or what it is available in. About the only part of my car i havent played with is the diff so im somewhat a newb I should ask SK what he mainly runs in his car, i say mainly because u know the lucky bugger probably changes the rations depending on cuicruit. Or maybe not, either way i like to talk it up Hope this thread gets some replies, there should be a few guys on here running rb26 or 26/30 in gtst's who have changed their diffs be that ratios or to aftermarket mech ones where the ratio has changed from stock. Cheers
  24. R31 nismoid Yeah that is what im noticing people are tuning 300+ rwkw out of them in they usually die in a matter of 2 years or less. I am not very interested in tuning past a reliable limit just for the sake of an extra 50BHP or so. GTST My car is used for st and track, it is set up for fastest track (grip) times. When its all said and done i will be prepard to change diff ratios if the stock 4.3 isnt to flash. I too am worried about the extra tourque turning into tyresmoke, however on the flip side im worried a 26 might be shown the door by a 26/30. Maybe i should just PM SK i know there are some smart guys on here though when it comes to diff ratios and thought id pick their brains a little. Anyone who has driven a rb26 with 300-350 wkw for over two years id be interested to hear from. Also im not talking about just to work and back, i mean those who have given their motor a fair work out too. BTW im not talking about any dumb shit like holding it on limiters, or driving it when temps are in unsafe zones etc. Thanks guys
  25. I have a R32 gtst and have been thinking about which motor would suit the standard diff ratio best. That is a RB26 with a 8000rpm rev limit OR a RB26/30 with a 7000rpm rev limit either motor will run the gcg manifold, tial 44 ext gate, and correctly sized garrett turbo to push either motors STOCK bottom end to its reliable limit. Engine may also run mild cams in the future if its of any interest. On a side note from what i can work out reliably a stock RB26 bottom end should be limited to 450bhp and a RB30 stock bottom end to 475bhp. BUT as far as i can see most people are putting out 300+awkw in gtrs and alot of people putting out over 290ish rwkw (475bhp) from their RB30 stock bottom ends. So do most people just over tune there motors and wait for them to break or are these reliable limits i talk of somewhat BS. I doubt they are. I think everyone has a different opinion about what reliably actually is though
