If you wave ill wave back Mick
  4. So maybe you just give the guy the business for helping you out, whats the big deal. You never know when you might need him again.
  5. Oh for sure And anyone that wants to know what blue my car is, well thats commision time!!!
  6. Hahah commision that WAS gold!
  7. Thanks flagger, i think white and white would be a good combo too!
  8. Check my pics. Theres one from when i first changed the color to blue in 2002.
  9. Thanks mate i really appreciate it!
  10. Hey all, its been a long 20 months working on my car but its getting to the point now that i can show you guys what ive been upto. Hope you like Mick and a big shoutout to those that helped me out from here along they way. You know who you are!
  11. Dont be so soft man, ur not the first one the block with a blue paint job. It will be either ford blueprint or the r34 blue like mine. Other good blues are from the wrx and the toyota echo. I prefer the R34 blue on my car over them all tho Any decent panel shop will be able to bring up the color codes for cars and then ur away.
  12. Damn i was hoping you didnt say that, i cant get bloody brents site to ever let me log it. It pissed me off so much i started buying off Greenline and i must say they are far, far more organised AND you can get into there site! Wont be entertaining the idea of a titanium exaust again untill the power extreme II dies in a few years maybe. Bought an alpine head deck yesterday, nuff said.. Cheers PRED
  13. Hey pred where did you get the price from for the trust titanium catback. 1100 sounds pretty reasonable. I could sell my power extreme II and upgrade for not much change over $$$, i would really like a catback system i could pick up like it was nothing Cheers mate
  14. You should vary the revs and load as much as possible, this will bed the rings in the best. a good run in can be done in around 500kms.
  15. Also Sk what are the details of the RB20 you had making peak power at 8250 with standard cams!. How was the average power, im impressed.
  16. Thanks SK, i figured i would max the turbo out that why i was wondering if i could just move the peak pwer point higher and keep the power about the same. The aim would be to make the power stay the same from 6000 rpm to 7500 rpm. If there is any point to this i dont know. Seems like im digging myself a hole on this one as the extra rpm would certainly increase power too much at the same boost level.. /rambling FWIW i have the same set up as bbenny and only have his dyno grahp to go off right now, my dyno does not print graphs. I will be pushing teh standard MAF and inj to there limit as the turbo like you say will run out of puff just above that. Thanks for the advice SK i will stick with the standard cams and start looking for a rb26 head for a rb30dett conversion. and dont worry ill keep you updated (with questions) Mick
  17. haha i am, love those shits
  18. It looks like someone has thrown up in there mate. FOR REAL
  19. Hey, interested in comming down for the show. How long would the drive be from brisbane?? Is it just a sunday event?
  20. Thanks for stating the obvious i love it. Can you guys leave the posting to people like SK and luke vl, poeple who actually know a thing or two about cam timing and profiles etc. The last thing i need is tips on when to change gears.
  21. Ok mate thanks, i know that and yes you are right slightly over. However 6000 is already slightly over and i want to change at slightly over 7000 rpm. Then what. I need answers to my question not a debate on how far after peak power to change gears. thanks for the help though That 6000 already took into account slightly over. Peak power is made at 5750 drops 10hp by 6000 then 20 by 6250. So anything over a 6000 change im considering as sloppy etc. Would really like to take advantage of the extra 1500 or so rmp that are available if i can do so without changin the HKS2530 turbo.. Mick
  22. You dont if its only running a smallish turbo (HKS2530) and i think the major drop in revs is only from 1st to second. Roy and a few others could refresh my memory there.
  23. I would consider that sloppy, the car is losing power, better to change gears. Others?
  24. Come on pred, theres plenty of new jap exausts(think titanium as well) being made for the 32, and the gtr cat backs are fine to use as well if you want an even wider range perhaps. The only thing that really limits you is the effort you go to getting the parts and the money you spend. Grab a trust power extreme II if you like that look, (personal taste is whats important too!!!) and want a jap brand. Its quiet and loud if you know what i mean. That 2.06lt chic has one on her high hp gtr too so its probably not as restictive as some loacal manufactures would lead you to belive. On another note, i bought a combined dump/front pipe from batmbl; does he have the twin ones in mild steel avaiable yet for HCR32?? or any skylines?? I am very keen to get one when he does. Otherwise i too think i will grab a CES one for around $500, preferably not ceramic coated. As far as power/responce increases go i think it depends on application. If you were running high boost and high rpm the turbulence/backpressure increase/whatever in the exaust is going to be much higher/worse than in a sub 1bar stock turbo car. Thus the increases in performance less noticeable when putting a CES twin dump on the stockish car than the modded one. Apart from that the other gain is relevant to the stock car and the modded one. Apparently with the split design and decent lenght ie 400mm of wastegate gas separation you gain RESPONCE. This is not something i have discovered (yet)but what SK will tell you only a whole lot better than i can. I am currently tho about to(when i get a spare day) raise my boost to around 17-18 pound through my blended dump/font pipe. In the next few months i will change over to a twin design from CES and let you know how it feels, if it boost earlier, if it has better responce etc. I bought the BATMBL blended one in the first place soley to see for myself the difference when i chage to a CES/decent dump/front pipe. The costs were not the issue and nor was the fact the HKS dump pipe is the biggest heap of crap ive ever seen. Its one case they sure did manage to make shit shine tho I dont think the dyno is going to show many gains on this one (though it might thru the midrange) unless you car is having trouble with boost consistency(from turbulence/backpressue/whatever though the top of the rev range and it is directly attributed to the dump pipe. ie not the turbo size or boost controler Then there is the question of the standard exaust manifold and what increases(or decreases, lol) i could get from chaging that to aftermaket HPI/HKS style (see greeline.com). There is a guy selling one for 600, Bargain!! Thats a whole other story tho, Mick
  25. OMG what a bargain id rather have one this than two 89 gtr's. Free bump!
