  1. Hey all, currently i am running a hks2530 on my rb20 and making peak power around 6000rpm. I would like to make peak power closer to 7500rpm without changing the turbo. I understand the cams are causing this. It shits me because i want to use the extra 1500 rpm! i may as well have a sr20, jks, they are way to lame. My question is what cams from hks or tomei would do this? I am not looking to increase the power hugely as the extra 1500 rmps in the power = torque x revs equasion should be enough to inrease it perhaps a little. I think the turbo will become the restriction at those revs then maybe...? Anyones experience with step one style cams(not GTR) in a rb20 would be much appreciated. Changes at 6000 are ok, but changes at 7000-7500 would be more fun PS. a RB30det(t!) seems like a better option the more i think about it as the internals could remain stock and make some pretty bullshit power, but then i wouldnt be changing at 7500 rpm either, spose id be going fast atleast... *scratches head some more*
  2. A good bare metal paint job is around 10k A rub back and some bog slanging might cost u 2-3k but it wont look half as good. My 2 cents cloudofsmoke Check my pic if u think im dreaming.
  3. After fitting a 044 in tank to my t i would just pay the extra for a straight fit nismo one next time. But oh no i had to have the 044. If you are fitting it yourself go a straight fit, my 2 cents....
  4. Are you dreaming??? Anyway i have these in my R32 and they are simply awesome, the ride is very firm but if the car is not a daily drive then its no problem. These are around 2500 a set new. Good luck with the sale, its a bargian. Oh also if they fit the 260RS stagea then i know someone who is VERY interested.

  6. Was a while back now but im pretty sure when i put it on the dyno i hooked up a fuel pressure guage and blocked off the return to the tank. When boosting it was showing poor readings fuel pressure wise.
  7. Check your fuel regulators too, i had a stuffed front one.
  8. Along with what everyone else is saying i would check out the fuel system. A stuffed fuel regulator could explain your problem.

  10. No your right it was pretty rude the way i put it however it did seem that your post implying that my mate "dave" had told me some magical figures. I also think that everyones mate dave gets on here and creates "skyline myths" such as "Rb20 standard MAF wont do over 200rwkw". As a result dave is going around telling everyman and his dog to toss his MAF just for fun. I do appreciate that you were trying to help this guy but i think unless you have personally run out of resolution (or whatever the case may be) that comments are best left to ones self. Posts with information based on own(or atleast someone else from the board) experiences are far more useful for whoever they are meant for. Sorry again inissane

I said nothing about 260rwkw and neither did hawker05 Why upgrade something when the stock one will be enough for his target power, perhaps in the future when he is chasing more power it would be a good upgrade then. When the limits have been found and not simply spend another $400 Im sure wankers can get on here and say upgrade everything mate when they havent noticed what other people have put out with the stock one. Just because u can understand how an MAF works and type the word resolution doesnt mean he needs it a z32 Do u know for a fact that the stock airflow meter will max out before the turbo? or did your mate dave tell you? There, i saw your 1 cent and raised you 4. See if you can make 5 cents worth next time

  13. Hey pred, ive done this to my gtst, i bought the bracket new from nissan, and was able to modify and mount the original latch/catch whatever to work with the grill/bonnet etc. Its the piece the horns mount to and the latch and shit. I dont think it was that expensive. trade helps Mick

  16. Well i should be finished on our dyno by then, i will put my hand up and come and meet some of you guys. I am keen to get a print out as i have never had the car on a dyno dynamics dyno. $75 Seems very rich for a a power run, but for once in my life i could pay for use of a dyno.   17. You should check out the trust bolt on turbos, they would fit your price range better as they are only oil cooled like the standard turbos. I think a pair of the T518Z can flow 700hp. As they dont need water lines made up they are cheaper to fit. Trust say all sorts of fancy things about the comp housings on them, about being specifically designed for the gtr for good responce and so on. Another bonus for your budget is that you are forced to run blended(cheaper) dump pipes allowing you to perhaps spend more on some nice front pipes i dont know. The dude from willall racing rates them or something, im really singing his song. zzz time
  18. First off thanks for the info SK i had my car around at bridgestone just today. For what its worth i have recently installed new coilovers and whiteline adjustable swaybars. Settings were: front camber around 1.8 neg caster around 5.8 toe: .3 total .6 in rear camber around 1.8 neg toe: .2mm total .4mm in I will be intalling whitline front camber/caster, rear camber kit and rear subfame shit, lol, as soon as i get time. At this point i figure when i install these kits i will set them (the eccentric tubes or whatever) to change the setting(ie front camber) as much as possible in the desired direction(ie closest to .5 neg). And so on. Another problem im seeing is possibly say for example when i press in the new castor rod bushes, then press the eccentric/metal tubes into them; will i beable to adjust them???? the fit to me looks pretty tight I dont think i will run different caster side to side as SK has said is benificial, and i think i will adjust the coilovers untill the heights are even side to side. Atm i have set the heights very briefly(15 min) thats why i have aprrox values above as these values change slighly depending on the height you set. Any advice would be appreciated, cough, SK Cheers all hope that made some sense its late

Yeh mate, ive had mine off a few times and with the glass still in they are fair strain for me to carry to far. they def weigh heaps, oh that was with trim off too.... id be guessing 30-40kg depending how strong i think i am (not very) haha. have also held a carbon door off a porsche carrera cup car and it was so light you coudl throw it to each other all day if u wanted. total lack of weight really. Yes i dream of carbon doors and lexan windows, but more power is a cheaper way to balance the power to weight ratio :headspin: another tax free 2 cents
