Hey george, i think u should be hoping for a little more than 190rwkw. Bbenny made about 220-230rwkw with the standard injectors and that turbo(hks2530) and a remapped ecu. So ulness u are only going to be running 1bar or so i think your estimate could be a little low. What does everyone else think, bbenny are you still around? Be great to see your results and dyno graph posted george once the pfc is tuned. Oh and btw bbenny made this number with the standard AFM too

You lot still carrying on hey.....

I order alot of my parts thru nissan have never had a problem getting anything i wanted. When i had my motor out i noticed a had a couple that were snapped, no point just replacing one or two so i ordered a whole set from nissan. Pretty sure u can use the set from a vl as well. Anyway check it out because nissan can get anything ex japan. Mic

Nice $60k or whatever Taxi mate. Very impressive, not. If it was making the power per litre of my 2 ltr then you would have about 11-1200 hp. So much for a v8 being effecient or impressive in any way! also because you seem blinded by it, the gtr is detuned from the factory something tools like you must get around. A stock gtr is one with a full exaust and computer. Just like i would conisder a stock LS whatever to still be stock if it had and exaust and computer. The factory can only show the potential, and exaust and ecu will quickly show what the car was meant to do without having to be so concerned with driveability, fuel consumtion, power caps, noise etc. stuff btw the hydratrak in your taxi is a good example of how crap the aussies compared to the japs, i mean in the supercars holden run a ford diff. How fuct up is that. GMH think gemini :flamed:

thanks for getting back to me mate, apprectiate it. Mick

Hey chris, or black32, if you talk to boost worx about it could you ask them what strainer they used on the bottom of the 044 pump, im trying to adapt something from another car. cheers
-
Hey chris, i pulled the pump out today, such a tight fit now that the big boy 044 is in there. I botched the strainer so i ordered another one and will try again tomorrow. Here are some pics i took that i hope help you. Dont laugh its function over looks and i couldnt find anything else in the shop to use on top (youll see what i have used) . I think i had enzed come out and do the other fittings off the pump. You will aslo see there is a bit of bending and cutting required. also u need to measure stuff so the bottom of the pump goes back exactly where it was standard, but im sure u know that. Personally if i didnt have to have the 044 i would have gone a 040 or gtr pump (but screw a second hand pump) or buy a nismo one from greenline. Any of those pumps should be able to supply enough fuel for the power we are chasing ie. 220-230 rwkw. AND be alot easier to fit. Also sorry the pics of the strainer are terrible, im not much of a photographer, ill get some better ones tomorrow when i try again :headspin: Mic edit: chris ill pm you for your email the photos were to big
-
Chris, planning a bit of work tomorrow on my car some of which happens to include replacing the fuel pump seal and putting a strainer on the bottom of my intank 044. I think i have a strainer from a commadore pump, cant remember but will check if you like the look of it, i plan on cutting it and attaching it to the bottom with a hose clamp. I will try and take some pics when i have it out. will get back to this thread tommorrow arvo Mick

Steps to DIY sanding car back ready for respray....

I have done this with a friend, the guy who fixes your porsche or ferrari in brisbane when you crash it. Going back to bare metal is a LONG HARD process compared to just your usual scuff/tape and spray. That said though the finished product is directly represented by the prep work, and how the car is put back together, ie panel gaps being perfect etc. So spend the time and it will look great, spend less time and money and it will still look good as everyone else on the street. -
Not much cheaper though, maybe 10-15% and i think these meisters are a 3 piece hence more expenisive than your average rays forged 1 piece, could b wrong tho. Also i think they look 100% better than your average TE37 which were done to death a long long time ago. Saw a black 32 gtr attending driftnats here in brisbane late last year with these on in white with silver rim, and damn, i had to give him so much credit it was HORN!1!1!1!1!11!!11!!11!!
-
What sort of paint job do you have? does it change color? and how old are you 100 a month is pretty cheap thanks

And you also have an 89 model. A 92-93 type m would be a fair bit better/faster i imagine. i know the ecu is different at the least...
-
For sure man, i would love to show you, im not looking for a medal i dont think im the next KT or anything i just enjoy being able to change down at higher speeds and put my car through less pain. Something i thought all of you could enjoy too. one last point i know this has been covered but theres no point for it on upshifts, and that fast and furios is a joke, i have the pic because it makes me laugh so hard. my statement, you never had you car refers to people not being able to change down properly ie double clutch. im sorry it is something i have taken for granted you said what you needed to well, i should comment on others driving but to get the benifits or even notice them you must be going quite fast. AND braking and revving at the same time is a whole lot of fun....
-
Peter isnt it, your a good bloke, but you have simply repeated a process i am very pracitced at and have descibed in my above posts. What i wanted to hear about was the "normal" heel toe decibed in this post above by someone... i don't see the point of double-de-clutching instead of just -->normal:cheers:
-
I wouldnt say wrong to me i have no problem with this process, what i do have is a problem explaing things to people who dont even seem to speak the same language. I dont need to try downshifitng without a double, ive been there done that mate. got over it when i was 18, had to slow down to much to get into the lower gear.... so unlike some straight want to be's i was shown the practice and never looked back. i did not read about it on a forum, or talk to some wanker that thought he could do it, or watch KT videos but was shown from a young age. To think for one second i need any of you tips would be funnier than you lot calling your ablity to put a foot on two pedals something great. Like i said all you have to do is rev it in netral with the clutch out (that is NOT pushed in) on downshifts. If the clutch is in then the gearbox and engine are not joined. you cannot raise gearbox speed if the motor is not physically connected to it. When the gearbox is in nuetral with the clutch out, all that shit inside is goings to go round and round with engine rpm if it is not in netral with the clutch out then the only thing that is gonne rev is the motor, not the gearbox. hence no matching and no benifit. something you wouldnt notice if your driving around the way i suspect..... Last note, double cluctch/heel toe revving is done so people can change gears earlier and still be smooth and not tax/unbalance the car/box/clutch/tyres/diff etc. The whole part of having the foot on two pedals is just so braking can be done at the same time as revving in nuetral. Doing something entirely embrassing like revving it with the clutch in (that is pushed in) on down shifts is very very typical of amatures/ricers/wanna be's and does nothing at all except waste your time. Last fact, i can change down a gear at whatever rpm i like with nothing but total smoothness , can you? :Bang:
-
Keep dreaming mate, the process is barely slower once practiced and if u werent such a novice you would understand that it alows you to get a lower gear at a much greater speed without the compression bullshit, but hey what would i know about that shit in my opinion u cant properly drive unless you can do it. But that said it is really neccesary for racing use only. its not REALLY needed to drive as slow as wrecked head must. to think you would be gone is a joke, you wouldnt even be in the lower gear yet. And if you did decide to release that clutch (not doubling it that is) at the rpm im changing into the lower gear at then that would really be something to watch.
-
If you do not rev it while the the car is in neutral with the clutch out (NOT PUSHED IN) then there is no point the two things above go hand in hand, there is no point of one without the other. its plain and simple, just rev the car in neutral on downshifts to more rpm than the lower gear would need. its not rocket science oh and exactly what is this funky "normal" heel and toe you are doing at high speeds, how does that go? are u changing up or down, hehe..... this is gonna be good for a laugh. please describe "normal heel-toe"
-
Grab some prepsol from repco, its great for getting anything hard off, u dont even have to rub hard. having given my car a bare metal respray i know a thing or two about shit on paint
-
just to help anyone out. it is to match the gearbox speed to the engine speed or the other way around. people who say there is no need for it must not have mastered the art because its so painful to NOT double clucth down a gear its not funny, unless u drop to such a low speed its pointless.... oh and there is no point doing it changing up gear, pure waste of time. anyway procedure is... commin in hot in 4th for eg, ball of foot on the brake, clutch into neutral(sp) clutch out, rev to the amount of rpm 3 would be doing(with the heel of your foot, keep braking too with your ball if ur good) for the speed you will be doing in 3 when u have finished changing. This can be made easier by revving higher than the rpm needed (its still smooth) rev under the rpm third would need (more than 4th obviously) and you have stuffed up. so uve gone brake, clutch in, nuetral, clutch out, rev, clutch in, select gear in this case third. then hit the gas and your out of there with no damn compression bullshit and when practised is just as fast as not doubling, and theres none of that jerky taxing clutch/gearbox shit going in, hehe. Used to have a corolla that wouldnt select 3 third unless i revved it in nuetral on the way down from 4th (or up )and gave it the rpm third required for it to slot in. it literly wouldnt go in with the clutch in. had to push against where third is and just rev it till the gearbox and engine matched up then it would slot straight in. Havent tried the one cluth in the skyzie yet tho dumb idea , just the double. i know thats made no sense its late and i thought id throw in my 2c worth since i can do this with my eyes shut.... one last note, its pretty satisfying being able to change down at bullshit rpm with nothing but total smoothness and the engine/box/clutch loves you for it, car stays balanced and so on.....

Cars come standard with in cabin vacuum line fed boost guages, something i would argue if i had one installed. Choose an electronic one then just worry about them finding the vacuum line to your ebc :headspin: :headspin: :headspin:

Pentae have u ever conisdered that people who have gtst can afford a gtr but choose not to buy one? or have you considered the reasons i am fitting the gtr bonnet and rear spoiler, that is to lower weight and increase downforce ??? or are u a narrow minded bogan whos opinion no one values anyway??? :flamed: should be a hard one... anyone??? -
Check my pics mate, it was a hard choice for me a few years ago between the purple and the blue.... youll see which was i went
