This is the only negative i noticed to when fitting and orc flyhweel, u just gotta change a little faster. takes u about 2 gear changes to get used to

I am going thru this conversion over the next few weeks. Will be able to provide full details once its done. Im sure the other guys on there will let u know though. More than likely i will go the two piece tailshaft too.

I would give the 040 a try, not too bad price wise. Pm femno There are many on here who will tell u they are crap, but there are many more who have no problems at all.

I moved mine for the same reason. I didnt have any problem so id say there is a 99% chance u will be fine. Maybe ask some of the guys in the car audio section.

Thought: god gave u eyes for a reason, And if u used them u would notice i have a HCR32, not a gtr/gts4 I ask this because i have removed the hicas system was wondering since its gone if the computer could go to. The unit on the passenger side i have since found out is the abs unit, and since im considering removing the abs thought it would be a good time to ask about that also. thanks for the 2 cents worth tho

As per the topic, can the hicas computer that is mounted underneath the parcel tray in the boot be removed after you remove the hicas system. Likewise can you remove the computer that is basically identical but on the passenger side of the vehicle, i suspect this computer is the for the abs. Like the hicas computer it is mounted underneath the parcel tray but is on the passenger side of the vehicle, where as what i suspect to be the hicas computer is on the drivers side. This leads me to wonder if removing these computers will "open" any circuits in the car causing things to function incorrectly. Im also not sure if skylines have speed sensitive steering in any way, ie making the wheel easier to turn at different speeds etc and exaclty what the ecu is using the speed signal for etc. heres a pic of the two computers im talking about Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Yeah i have removed the hicas, it was just a random thought crossing my mind. Just one of those rumors u hear and never really know if its true or not. I should probably post it up in another area. Back on track. I didnt think they ran with airflow meters but obviously thats no big deal. I only ask all this because id always planned on a pfc, but everyone knows the story there. I hope paul can sort out modifying the rb26 ones as i really dont wanna fork out 3-4k for management.

Forgive my laziness to do any research of my own but do either of the motec or autronic setups allow you to keep the airflow meter etc?? Off topic: do skylines have speed sensitive steering at all?

Yeah im leaning towards that. Heres a pic of them removed, they are laid down as if u were facing the car from the rear. The box with the indentation is from what i can gather a hicas computer.

Hey thanks for the reply but im not talking about the one on the drivers side or the clarion amp. I am talking about one identical to the hicas computer on the drivers side, but its on the passenger side. I think only r32's with abs will have them can anyone check? cheers

I have rays rims, but my center caps had rubber o-rings in them. Once pushed in they are a very snug fit. At a half educated guess id try and fit the metal ring to the center cap or the mag and then fit the center cap into place. Pics would probably help too

Was down at the shop today and the guy that used to own the place 11 years or so ago was there making a one way doors and a windage tray for a lotus race motor he is building. Looked to do the job very well of keeping oil around the pick up. Best of all if u know what ur doing its not very time consuming or expensive to get excellent results. Ill try and get some pics because when it is time to do my sump i think ill hit him up to do the same. Unless i feel like blowing 900 or whatever on the high energy.
