  1. yeh replace all of the hoses that run under around the the plenum, there is about 7 or 8 of them if you are going to take the plenum off order them from nissan because they are moulded so you can't get them from anywhere else. they will cost about $300 all up (without heater hoses) and use new hose clamps it is something you will do once in the time you have the car but it gives good peice of mind you will tear your f**king hair out trying to get that hard line off that connects to the metal cylinder without taking the plenum off, it's pretty much impossible
  2. it's not going to explode, it looks like it's just a bit long so it is bowed out being so short it will be stronger and less likely to explode than a longer hose unless it is leaking or you plan to change all of the hoses around there (because getting that metal line off that runs under the plenum is a flamin mongrel job that pretty much requires the plenum to be removed) then it will be fine

  4. yeah i have r33 gtr rims and federal rsr for track rims, just tried to find the r33 rims as cheap as possible - dont care about gutter rash etc, they are just track rims and they are light and strong having other rims just allows you to not have to spend so much cash on your street tyres and you dont have to keep changing them when you destroy them after a few track days and with a cheap semi slick like the rsr you get way more grip than any expensive bridgestone street tyre
  5. your body roll is what is keeping you from reaching the limit of the tyres you will find with stiffer suspension that the tyres will let you down as you want to go faster but they wont be able to handle it federal 595ss arent an awesome track tyre really tbh, they have handled what you can throw at them probably because you arent a great driver (no offence meant, im not either) i mean that in terms of pushing the car
  6. federal 595 SS on the track is always going to be a recipe for failure as well they are great street tyres but like most street tyres they arent going to be much chop on the track
  7. haha i didn't see that a mechanic was going it definitely too much money or no clue
  8. so you are transferring the entire running gear including front diff and attessa system ? it would probably be cheaper to change the shell swap from your GTT over to a GTR chassis waste of time and money, but some people are not short of either
  9. i like the irony in the question asked and the avatar of the person asking the question
  10. can't believe this hasn't sold
  11. $100 ? brand new still in bubble wrap in packaging...
  12. i have a set of toe control arms for sale as stated in the title these are the ones linked below: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20455&cat=396&page=1 brand spanking new hardended rubber bush joint reason for selling is i ordered the wrong part thinking they were traction arms and it sounds like too much hassle to try and send them back to just jap looking for $120 for them im in aspley on the northside PM or sms/call 0413377833
  13. yep and when oil/water gets hot on track
  14. lol autometer it looks like they have just released the 2 new sizes in the racer series (60mm/80mm) in november 2011 when i bought my defi BF set 2 year ago, the racer guages were available then - not in 60 or 80mm though (lol 80mm is huge) just depends if you want to wire them all in individually or have the daisey link setup i have used the controller at the track to watch boost levels and fluid temps, when you finish a session you come back in and watch the recording its also good to check if your boost is spiking etc when you give it a squirt and cant look away from the road not sure about the racer series but the BF you can also set alarms for each guage when they hit a certain level which is also pretty useful on the track and in general (if you bust a coolant hose for example)
  15. they are all moulded so you can't just buy a long peice of hose and think you're going to fit bits of that nissan don't stock 'kits' you need to ring up or better yet go in and go through with them on the nissan FAST program which hoses you want i did the hoses that run under and around the manifold on my r32 a while ago and they cost me like $300 wihtout doing the heater hoses haven't tried the kits yes the hoses are expensive, but it's something that you'll only do once in the time you own the car and it's awesome peice of mind once you do them knowing they aren't going to bust on you
  16. there are front and rear castor for r32 there the front camber you're either going to have to go sold joint or replace the bushes for your arms, but they arn't that bad i had those same dog bone shape in my r32 and they weren't bad ps. R32 and Z32 use the same front camber arm, not sure they don't have lised as r32 aswell. Bushes are a hassle to adjust too. You could probably get away with rear camber too as ball joint. the cator arms are the ones that lead and hurt when you hit a big bump
  17. yeah i've pretty much learnt the hard way with this i went the jeremy clarkson method of 'how hard can it be?' with regards to ball jointed arms, and man it's a stuggle i've just come to the decision tonight after having them in for a month that i am going to take out the front and rear castor arms and the rear camber and replace them with hardrace arms http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20360&cat=396&page=1 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20455&cat=396&page=1 http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=20359&cat=396&page=1 my car will be tracked a few times a year and it's not the rough ride that gives me the shits it is the noise they make and primarily because i can't tell half the time if it's the arm just doing it's thing or if it is somethign else. i just had some weird thing happen tonight after i got the car back from getting it tuned (i noticed it odd on the way there the other day too) where i thought an arm had some how come loose it was making some grinding type noise on the front right side. i took all the wheels off tonight and just checked over them and everything is all still done up tight so i don't know and it was ok when i took it for a test drive after so yeah - lesson learned those hard race items look like the perfect blend of rubber bush and proper adjustment, knew i should have got them in the first place
  18. the racer series arent new, they are just an alternative if you dont want to run the controller for whatever reason (ie. jewish) etc the BF are the top range and the controller makes it easier to install and you can record readings etc with the controller
  19. that doesn't say skyline just sayin'
  20. would just stick with Motul 8100 xcess 5w40 (doesn't exist as 10w40 as mentioned above as far as i know) talk to East Coast Customs about doing the service, they are in kedron i don't know of anyone else further north. but to be honest a 100km service isn't terribley complicated you don't need a special performance shop to do one. but you don't want some random jo blow touching your car either mobil 1 gold 0w40 will point out any noisey lifters if you have any :]
  21. honestly, 8.8 aren't going to sheer off they are probably stronger than the stock bolts
  22. they are all m12 x 1.25
