Yeah im in the same boat. Looking at replacing my series 1 stagea for an M35 now, but cant find what I want. There arent a lot on car sales etc at the moment. I live just around the corner from Northshore Prestige, but they mainly have ARX's - which will suite you DAN00H but I was hoping to get a 250t with the factory sports kit. I found this Autec Axis on car sales - which would be the dream stagea - but a little over budget for me. If anyone has something for sale, please PM me. Ben.

Great! thanks for that Chook. and yes it will be tuned on a dyno, I also hav an SAFC II that i will be installing. I was unsure whether that would be sufficient by its self. With my R32 i would still have boost cut issues with the SAFC II installed....

Hey Guys, I have had some issues with my car as even any mild boost upgrade causes my car to hit its boost cut. So I am going to install a HKS FCD to my 97 series 1 stagea. But i cant seem to find anywhere which model I need to use... Can anyone help me with this? I would also love it if anyone had the ECU pinout too! Thanks for any help or info guys, Ben.

im 26, have owned it for a year now. No i dont have kids, wife or any of that. Its more of a lifestyle thing... I mountain bike, surf, snowboard, need a wagon for my business and love skylines... so its the perfect thing really!

Yeah all that was checked and double checked, even fitted new pump to see, but no difference Its killing me that we arent getting anywhere with it.

Thanks for the input guys. Im pretty confident that the plugs have been gapped correctly by the mechanic, even used platinum plugs this time. Lowering the boost helps a little, im running at 0.5bar at the moment and it still has problems, but doesnt ping as bad. Fuel is always a 98ron. I have an SAFC II sitting at home. I havent installed it yet as i want to solve this pinging problem first, i dont think that its A/F...

Hey Guys, Ive done some research but haven't had too much luck... Here is my dilemma: My S1 Stagea has severe problems from 4000rpm and above. It pings really badly and the plugs seem to be breaking down too. You can hear it ping pretty badly and the power surges up an down from there to redline. Mods to the car are very basic - full exhuast inc dump and a front mount cooler and pod filter. The boost is mechanically controlled and peaks at 0.8bar. Ive had it with my mechanic now several times and he cant work out whats causing it, but reckons that a set of splitfire coils will fix the problem... Ive read of other people having breakdown issues that splitfires fixed, but if anyone has any idea or advice It would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. Ben.

Alright its time for my baby's next bit of TLC... I have done the exhaust, intercooler, pod filter and mech boost controler running at around 0.8bar The car goes much better, but when the car is cold it sometimes hits boost cut/AFM maxing out... I have also noticed a huge drop in power from about 4k-5k RPM, and as I understand it, this is a common problem with RB25 fuel curves just running mega rich at that point...?? I was thinking about getting an SAFC II or NEO to sort things out. Will I still need a fuel cut defender of some sort or will the SAFC sort things out? I would like to run 1bar and eventually go for the high flow option later down the road. Is it possible to get an Apexi PFC to work in the auto stagea? or does it have to be manual? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Cheers, Ben.

I fitted the Just Jap cooler in my Stagea without any big dramas. The Kit was designed for an R33, the only modification needed was making two simple lower mounting brackets and changing the washer bottle position. Otherwise I was very impressed at how well this $345 kit went together!
