  1. BLACK............goes with everything, navy doesn't
  2. Luke's not the only one that's just bought some goodies!! Thanks to Darron from Just Jap.....friendly guy and very good service. Also got Joel to hook me up with a Gates belt so just need a waterpump now........anyone here know where to get a good price on one. Might be giving you a yell soon Ryan
  3. unbelievable!!! don't know if you've already reported it but make sure you do.....all the best
  4. how much fuel you got in that tank?........if its only doing it around corners now, you might want to consider fuel surge
  5. +1 yeah good points there Andrew
  6. another Lee on these forums with a newborn........he's a real cutie bud, congratulations to you & mum
  7. yeah right, I wish! yeah I agree, good example is at the 6' 10" mark where he almost lost it in the Vette........obviously that could happen in the GTR as well but maybe not as easy
  8. hmmm, eggs, bananas, & pepper.........sounds like a good recipe for a protein shake. Save you the trouble though, just run 80W90 in the sump.......that'll eventually make the engine so quiet that you won't hear it.....only the sound of wind & smell of diesel from the flat bed truck you & your car are sitting on, lol
  9. yeah, I suppose its all relative when it comes to what I consider cheap or expensive. If comparing to the R35, its not that cheap....if you compare it to the supercars that the other countries are offering like the carrera, maserati, ferrari or lambo, then its very cheap
  10. changing your brake bias can be a problem so unless you know your compounds pretty well I wouldn't like to experiment....you never want your back brakes to take over on a bend. I was looking at the QFM A1RM's but they are a bit too dusty for my liking (bendix Ultimates are apparently worse though) and they don't make them for a Brembo caliper. I'm in the same boat with EBC Greenstuff.....not made for Brembo caliper, hence why the Redstuff which is actually a Kevlar pad with Ceramic particles. Having said that, if you want QFM's for Brembos, you can send your backing plates interstate and be without your car for awhile, they can rebond them for you with any compound that you like. Most good pads wont be at their best from home to the local deli but the redstuff doesn't need to glow before they bite......just warm. Your bro in law has affected the brake bias of his car, not recommended. His rears may bite too hard in the cold.....see below for front/rear combinations: EDIT: They would obviously be fine when hot because the fronts would then bite harder. On Front.............OK to fit or have on rear Original........................Ultimax only Ultimax........................Ultimax or original Greenstuff....................Greenstuff, Ultimax or Redstuff or original Redstuff.......................Redstuff or Original Yellowstuff....................Yellowstuff,Green,Red,Ultimax or original
  11. Craig, Steve Madaz & I are doing our brakes soon with the EBC Redstuff....I've looked long and hard for a pad that has good cold bite for street use that's reasonably quiet, has reasonable fade resistance for light track work, low dust effect and without being too aggressive on rotors. If you remember I posted this thread Brake Pads and the general consensus from the likes of Evil34, PureSX, Ryan & Jenkies (just to mention a few) was that the EBC stuff is pretty good, not to mention cheap and available on the Groups Buys . The EBC Greenstuff seems to be good for street use but the Redstuff would be better for street/light track work, plus they're ceramic so very quiet & low dust. The Yellowstuff seem the way to go for heavier track work but also dustier, noisier and more aggressive on your rotors. Hope this helps
  12. Actually the more I see it the more I like it.........not very expensive but apparently limited numbers with huge waiting list. Check out my future grocery getter
  13. yeah me too, just like the R35 & Zonda video.....at least then you get to see where and when the Vette starts to really pull away. I like some of those figures Damo........under 4 sec 0-100kph, massive brakes, massive rubber, much lighter car and a blower too!! I'd like the R35 for weekends and the Vette as my daily please
  14. yeah the GTR definitely looked smoother around a few of those corners.........almost a Sunday drive in comparison on a couple of corners I think the average driver would be quicker in the GTR than the Vette around crappy circuits like lalla but as said before, probably no comparison in the straights. Does anyone have the 60 ft & 1/4 mile figures on the Vette....couldn't be stuffed searching?
  15. if that was the case, then 1/2 psi extra boost on a car with STD internals would take care of that. Peeps generally do a rebuild with forged pistons and aftermarket rods to be able to cope with more HP, RPM & strength.........not for better response.
  16. Mate I was expecting to see a GTR............Orgasmo Orange Paint Job
  17. Probably a few other reasons why it's not as laggy but how does a forged engine make the car more responsive than a standard engine?
  18. This is one of my faves.......the 34 looks hot and goes even better (bit biased though)
  19. Cheeky gel ...........I agree it's the best pic of the bunch and would make a good desktop background
  20. spotted Steve Madaz in my kitchen tonight having a cuppa
  21. hmmm, guess what pic I have as a desktop background now? Thanks Daniel, nice work
  22. ah ok, I thought that John Keen's business had a similar name
  23. did I hear right, that the V-Spec will be around the 400kw mark as opposed to the 353kw for the base model?
  24. I was speaking to Brady from Japanese Motor Sport and he recommended Tranzmax Z (auto trans fluid) for the 6 speed Gehtrag on the R34 GTR's!!? Anyone else on here got any ideas about this because apparently they've used it on the track as well for the Gehtrag's.....I would've thought the stuff is too thin?
  25. ahh thats fair enough Dave.....wasn't having a dig at you bud
