  1. yeah that is the best feeling but can also be dangerous for someone young & inexperienced. can you imagine going from a 13 or 14 sec car (which is pretty quick anyway) to a 10 or 11 sec car in a couple of days?!
  2. ax & sinful, you actually both have a legitimate point. There's no doubt that oil surge is a crank journal's worst enemy but having said that, its a matter of working out how much over fill is too much. As long as the crank couterweights aren't swimming in the stuff you should be fine, on the other hand if your crank is hitting the oil on every rev, you're asking for a major disaster. The only safe & sure measure is to do it the right way the first time......deeper & larger capacity baffled sump and oil restrictors with a good catch can.....problem solved. Plus it's cheaper to do it right the first time......speak to some of the boys that have broken bottom ends due to surge or over fill.
  3. yeah good advise from the boys above, buy all your bolt-ons first then book it into someone like Shaun at Boostworks who can bolt it all on and tune at the same time. The diiference you'll feel with the car b4 and after will blow your mind. Speak to Shaun about what sort of bolt-ons to buy as well if you're not sure.
  4. Yeah he's in Adelaide in the northern suburbs and he was involved with an R32 with Pete Hall that was the quickest in Australia 8.8sec 1/4 mile @ 160mph. What side of town are you at cos there are 3 tuners down south that are also good.

  15. Wow that's cheap, this mob http://www.xquisitecustoms.com.au/index.html charge $4500 driveaway. If you read through the thread you posted I think a few peeps have started out with a cheap project but having to spend that much again to get it right. Should've just got someone to do it for them in the first place maybe.....having said that, I looked at the installation procedure and it doesn't really take rocket science as much as patience I think. Not for me but whatever turns ya on.
  16. Might be an unrelated issue but right now, living in SA is like living in the sweaty jungles of middle Africa with no end in sight....good recipe for car melt down. Be interesting to see if peeps responses and attitudes change if and when the colder weather arrives.
