  1. err look again Rhys, he's not agreeing with you, I think you may have meant "you can't disagree with me"
  2. don't know about that Ken.....some nice old school toranas, monaros and the 1933 ford show stopper (just to mention a couple) There's a blue XU1 and 383 Monaro near the Jimmy Tools stand that you must see.....the XU1 is owned by a female and is the straightest car you'll ever see in your life. Her boyfriend that owns the 383 next to it took 5 years to build her car and 7 to build his and hasn't taken any shortcuts whatsoever. If we only appreciate the bling factor, we'll walk straight past these kind of cars without asking any questions and never really appreciating the engineering that's gone into making them an absolute work of art.
  3. just came home from the show but will head back there tonight. apart from the nice cars this year, there are some serious big $$$ tuff bikes on display When I get a moment, I'll try and post up pics of the bikes cause I'm sure others will post up plenty of car pics
  4. haha, yeah sometimes it's quicker & easier to give a loud "oi" rather than fumble around looking for the horn button.......saw you going the other way last minute but I think the dude in front had triplets cause he accelerated out of the way pretty quick, lol
  5. Hey Deli Rep Probably one of the reasons as to why you're struggling to find a suitable vehicle......especially when you're talking in the vicinity of a 1/2 day. Not sure if you've checked what a wedding hire car costs these days....usually charged by the hour. Goodluck with it all & hope you get lucky.
  6. James, it boils down to what you want out of a car. If you want something modded that you can ocassionally track, then go a 32 GTR......you'll probably enjoy it more and are likely to find something that owes the owner $50K for 1/2 the price. If however you do go the N1, you'd want to consider keeping it original (or in a state than can be returned to its original form), keep the kms down, and slowly restore it with original equipment......even certain Aussie cars have proven over decades that due to the lack of availability, they can return a hefty profit, moreso with the N1 that is recognized on the world stage and is already a cult car.
  7. I'd probably weld it too if it can be done successfully....forking out $1500 or more for an aftermarket job just to gain approx 5rwkw aint worth it IMHO
  8. ahh, that's very good to hear Craig. It's all for the best that this person can be involved with you guys again.
  9. Anthony (Chuck) Norris (owner of Grand Auto) and I used to work together at Adelaide Engine. Tell him your a mate of mine and he'll look after you Craig.

  14. Here's a few piccys from the day
  15. OK, I've gone back a couple of pages and done a little house keeping with some of the sour grape comments.....pretty sure Shane & I brought this up with a few of you on Sunday. cbf going over the whole thread tbh. yeah sorry I didn't get a chance to catch up either Ryan......nice Colt champ.
  16. JEDI-77, I reckon you've handled yourself very well so if the rest of your crew are as gracious as you've shown to be, it should be an even better get together next time. Look forward to catching up with you and your mates next time.
  17. 4 - 6 riders abreast is what I hate.....if there is a dedicated bike lane (unless you're turning right)...STAY IN IT!!! EDIT: or shove a 1000cc engine in it then you can share lanes with me
  18. Cheers Matt...thanks for trying bud
  19. Well said Jedi-77.........we'll all move on now me thinks.
  20. SLED

    Hello

Welcome mate. If it was complied in VIC prior to your purchase, it should only require a VIN & ENG No check.....can be done at Lonsdale.
  21. haha, yeah I don't think I've ever seen a $10K sticker
  22. Well I'm typing this from a motel room in Kingston SE so I won't be uploading any pics until I get back to Adelaide. I had a great time on the weekend....something very special about country shows as locals are always very welcoming and accommodating, not to mention that they appreciate our toys as some don't always get to the big smoke too often. The peeps that eventually made it to Loxton where all a great bunch and had lots of fun with them. Was good to spend more time wth Shane & Christine and my thoughts of him as SAU-SA President have only been vindicated.....will be a travesty if he's not there after the upcoming commitee election. Congrats to all members contribution for the weekend, Ryan & Shane for the trophy wins, the few that one raffle prizes, and a special thanks to Ben (Dohmar) for his tireless effort in organizing the whole event and then feeding us on top of that, well done. And last but not least, Andrew (Nightcrawler), where do I start?? Apart from being my room buddy and a top mate, we had some huge laughs. We had a pretty heavy session of drinks Frid night that started at 4pm and finished approx 12am for Andew and after 1am for me in Krishy's room where mixing drinks was mandatory. I was pretty smashed that night and took it easy the rest of the weekend, however, the following night I crashed early and the last I remember, Martin (Hostile) and Andrew disappeared into Krishy's room for another session.....hours later Andrew staggered into the room and passed out on his bed....dam, so many opportunities with a texta and a camera were missed, lol......he was under the weather before touching any alcohol so he would've never woken up! And a quick message to the black prince who somehow picked up a local gangy on Friday night within seconds......look at my daughter for longer than 3 seconds & I'll stab you in the eyes!!
  23. Now that's what I called organized
  24. Kristian, can you post some more info & pics pls?
  25. thanks for the mental image Craig.....I was half way thru a bowl of porridge
