  1. huh.....I thought it was for her 34?! Your bro must have other issues Carl (condensation in the fluid can have a similar effect sometimes).....Red Stuff has a very low coefficiency which makes them quite effective when cold, mine would throw you thru the windscreen 1st thing in the morning on the way to the shops. EBC Pads

wish I could say the same about Choco "shakes head"
  3. write your own letter of demand to whoever is overseeing the project and attach 2 separate quotes for repairs then give them 14 - 21 days to respond.......next step is magistrate court, small fee that you can add to the quote and recoup later. If it does get to see court time, it'll be in a small claims section where no lawyers are necessary.......just keep an accurate log of events and times so you don't sound like a dribbling mess in front of a usually very impatient judge.....can't see why he wouldn't see it in your favour.
  4. me no likey boys...........just buy a 32 R and be done with it, lol
  5. I used Red Stuff on my R and they were brilliant. Very clean on the wheels too (ceramic pads), unlike Bendix, and can handle both street (low coefficiency) and the ocassional track day without fade (high temp handling). Were a bit noisy for the 1st 1000km but quietened down eventually and grabbed those rotors hard and fast!

  9. This was taken a couple of years ago on 1 small section of Morgan when I had the Prado........getting down was one thing, getting back up was another! About 75% of all vehicles there got down that section but less than 5% got back up and had to go around......I was in the group that went the long way around! poor quality so watch it 'HQ' The Suby wagon that made it back up had welded front and rear diffs and weighed nothing but was prone to regular break downs.
  10. unless you were over the speed limit posted in the area (either permanent or temporary signs), I wouldn't just drop it, I'd go after them on principle
  11. lol Rhys, sometimes you sail very close to the wind and there's been many a time that my finger has hovered over the Warn/Ban button (especially when you & Ruby get into it) but on occasion you come thru as a true Humanitariun. Benny Boy, take a deep breath and read Steve's post again.....nothing really wrong with it and if Adam took offence, I'm sure he's a big boy now and can fight his own battles. Now back on topic
  12. lol don't do that, I'll give you $1000 if you eat my cat
  13. hope you got some pics of the pot hole before they filled it again
  14. Clearly the road was not in a safe state with your photos being evidence enough. You're 1/2 way there....the fact that they've even asked for photos indicates that they are liable for road safety measures as opposed the council. Now you just have to know how to handle the situation and not take their bluff as gospel or take no as an answer.
  15. lol Roo.....out towards the laundry, door on your right!

hrmmm.....not sure about that last one. If ever Freo were gonna snatch one, that might be the one. Sydney have a shocking record at Suby, Freo are definitely due for one and no Hall or O'Laughlan
  17. Matty, I noticed you're selling your roof rack.......obviously tried the Nissan Patrol forum, yeah......don't think you'll get too many bites here. What lift kit are you going with.......ARB have a new setup with a new line of sports shocks which is the way I'll go I reckon.

News is a couple of days old now but he's safe till at least Round 12.........pretty much what I thought would happen. Struggling on a couple of tips....rest are easy enough. Port vs Saints?? Blues vs Dogs?? Freo vs Sydney........at Scooby?????
  19. This reminds me of a similar thing that happened to me. It's amazing how quickly councils and contractors pass the buck to each other when stuff like this happens. A few years ago I parked in the Elizabeth City Centre car park and put my front wheels against one of those concrete sleepers that are held into the ground with 2 spikes (rio rod). Unfortuantely, one of the spikes were sticking out approx 6 inches so as I drove forward the spike got hooked under my front bar (didn't even hear it). When I reversed out it ripped my whole front bar off the car.......consequently my bloke got away. Tried the Centre Management, didn't want to know me, "council's problem".........tried the council, did't want to know me, "Centre Management's problem". Went back and forth a couple of times before going into the Magistrates Court and paying $80 for a Letter of Demand which I sent to the Centre's Maintenance Dept and they couldn't pay me quick enough cause I threatened to charge them for a lost day's work as well at $150ph.
  20. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if the above is actually the case, they may use that to waive any responsibility (hazard sign generally means, 'slow down & look').....having said that, if it's as bad as you say, they should have zoned that area off. And as far as the council not having any liability....huh?! Even if they are private contractors, I would've thought the council would have to be the overseers of the project.....public road isn't it??
  21. Sounds good Matty....should know closer to the date.....hopefully not raining. I'm guessing this is the place Loveday 4 X 4 Adventures Saunders Gorge Sanctuary looks good to Dave and only 75km from Adelaide. I ain't gonna stick my truck in no creek or mud bath though, lol!!
  22. Andrew, from what I gather, you don't have to have one unless it has been mentioned in the Consumer Information Notice compiled by the compliance workshop. In other words, Regency are nit-picking and should be blown up!
  23. correct about the age, that's why I posted the 'edit'.....in other words, "possibly useless info"
  24. An opinion from a web browsing review site: 1. Opera 9.x - Most Secure Web Browser? 2. Internet Explorer 7.x 3. Safari 2.x 4. Firefox 2.0.x - Most Insecure Web Browser? Flame away! EDIT: Info is 18 mths old
