  1. great pics Vu and thanks for taking charge of the snags bud.....your cards look good to bud. Good to catch up with Shane, Dave (writeoff) and the usual crew today also. Ben & Luke.....take a deep breath fellas cause we're all on the same team. LOL, I'm not sure if Dan was telling me to build a bridge or my little mate in Mannum......for his sake I hope it's the latter
  2. why.....you're back after another holiday and just can't help yourself.........if it was up to me I'd say you need a probationary period, but lucky for you it isn't! EDIT: You're a cocky little shit stirrer and clubs need to avoid members that like to play in sandpits........get serious occasionally, ie. your sig and general attitude and others may take you seriously.
  3. Just for you Steve
  4. hahaha, volksy motor with a stinger........honestly, why would you?!
  5. 1400r, not sure if you've recently registered as an SAU Trader but you must do so if you plan on advertising your business on these boards. Failure to do so will see your posts deleted and an officicial warning attached to your existing one. If you have just done so, then welcome and please ignore this post.

Brisb will beat Ricmond with no Mathew Richardson. The rest of your tips look pretty good. LOL, how pathetic are the current premiers this year......talk about premiership hangover! Arguably the most dangerous forward line in the comp with Franklin, Roughead, Dew & Williams yet I'll never tip them again until 3 of them go and see Jenny Craig!!
  9. lol you've had a rough trott there Dave you poor buggar....hopefully this time next week you're back on the road again.
  10. yeah they're definitely cheaper than I thought and not to mention, a dime a dozen! I really like the '67 & '69 models when they finally went from the 289ci to the 302ci Boss Windsor & the 351ci, either in a fastback or convertible......I thing the '65 sedan was the classic Steve Maqueen car....would've thought they'd be alot dearer. Throughout the 60's and early 70's they made the best models then they got hideous over the next 2 decades but over the last 5 or 6 years they've come good again.....probably thanks to the likes of Chip Foose and Carrol Shelby trying to revive the brand. I'm guessing Troy would be the best historian on the subject........whatever happened to the 428ci big block Cobra Jet?
  11. haha, my very 1st house was in Radstock st, Morphettville with the 'then' Metro Twin Drive-in in my back yard. Used to sit on the back porch Frid & Sat nights and tune into the movies with friends then go thru the fence at intermission for refreshments. The missus used to go thru the fence to trash & treasure on the weekends too, lol.

  13. sure do.....good mate of mine (Magarey medallist) lives up the top of the street. I think even Roo from the Crows either lived there or was moving into that street......not certain.
  14. might pop in for a quicky couple of steak & mushies

only 1 real tough one in the tips this week....Crows vs Dogs. If it was in Melbourne it would be an easy pick due to Dogs leg speed. Dogs are coming here after 3 straight losses so they'll be hungry, Crows did OK against Cats & Saints but have only beaten sides like Melb & Freo (other than Pies) and have lost all 4 games at home, so they'll be hungry too. I can see this one going either way.....apparently Bock's out with an injury now............I'm so confused!!
  16. nothing wrong with that Dan.....most of us have been there and done that at some stage in our lives.....hard work never killed anyone, lol. On that road rage incident with Roo, apparently Rexy Hunt just got convicted of a road rage incident today where he broke a cyclist's finger....sentencing next week and could face up to 3mths in the can...................he should've pulled a pistol and shot him in the face, would've only got $100 fine as long as nobody complained to the DPP!!
  17. yeah, pretty much my motto
  18. thanks Ben, I may have to look into something like that.
  19. yeah well said Dave and I do understand the frustration, but there is a small window of opportunity still available for those that still want to get into the market. In your case, I would buy a small shitbox, rent it out and go on your holiday cause every year that goes by now, the window gets smaller. Spot on Luke......I would hate to be a pensioner living on $250 a week and still renting!! As I said to Dave, don't look above your means. With $190K you may find a shitbox around the northern area that will allow you to at least get into the market......can't stress enough how important it is to do something now.......that FHBG is almost gone and rent will skyrocket......and that's straight from the horses mouth! EDIT: The next perfect time to buy may never be seen again in this state as per my previous post regarding boom periods and the buy up by Baby Boomers......buy a shitbox and rent it, forget about 1/2 mill houses!
  20. LOL, selfish = smart IMO. We've been hounded so long by a govt telling us that we're at zero population growth and that we should have 3 kids, 2 to replace us and 1 for the country just so we can support the next generation. We've also been threatened to not rely on the pension to be there forever cause there will be more pensioners around than the workforce one day so who will support them.........so baby boomers are trying to be self sufficient in retirement and not rely on the X & Y's to support them in retirement........yep, real selfish
  21. yeah my 13" is pretty long in the tooth now (approx 3 years old) hence why I'm looking for something else. I mainly use it for reports and capturing video for clients......seems quick enough for that....although it's on 240V when capturing and battery power when presenting the video.
  22. My advice to anyone who is currently renting.....get into the market ASAP by any means possible even if you're not in love with the property you're buying......think of it as a stepping stone. In many parts of Europe and even in our eastern states, only the rich can afford not to rent.......we are heading down that road. I've experienced 3 or 4 boom periods in the housing market since my first property at 20 years old and have never seen the market grow like it did between 2002 & 2005. Prior to that, it was very easy for an investor to positively gear a property, now it's next to impossible unless rents catch up to property prices, and I'm talking literally double the rent you may be paying now! Reason for all of this, Baby Boomers are getting ready to retire and have bought up Adelaide in the last decade.....fact!
  23. lol Karl that aint big, my missus has the Acer 8920G 18". I personally prefer the real small stuff for portability.......mine's a 13" Benq and I'm looking for something even smaller that I can chuck under my arm whenever I do reports in the car or have to show a client some video.
  24. What do you mean? that he is totally innocent? and that a totally innocent by-stander didn't get shot in the face and lost his eyesight? and that he got stuff all as compensation? and that Nemer only got $100 fine and suspended sentence? and that it took the public to almost smash the DPP's door down before he got approx 18mths (if that) then he gets released and re-offends again??? Yeah I suppose the public register is all wrong and the latest judge was just too harsh and didn't have all the facts!! Yeah tell us the whole story Damo.....he's clearly already in the market then and obviously believes in it otherwise I'd be advising you to go elsewhere bud. Curious though, what's his reason for renting at the moment (dead money).....I'm guessing he's in between properties at the moment, yeah? Cause I've heard about all the savings that can be had by renting ie. loan interest and bills like council rates etc but if you factor in the constant rise in rents, interest rates at their lowest in over 50years, capital gain advantages of owning a property and the fact that one day it will be impossible to get into the market (fact), then this renting busines to save a buck is a big bluff!
  25. lol at peeps with more money than brains....not to mention that he's too stupid to worry about cops or smashing into someone
