  1. i liked the dana linn bailey video the most
  2. whatever you do with calves, do it until they burn, I find between 10-15 reps works well. gaining size on your calves is difficult as TTT said, alot of it has to do with genes. With that being said mine have grown. also what Birds said, hill runs or even just put a real heavy pack on your back 20kg+ and go bush walking, your calves will grow after a few months of doing that.
  3. fair point 25GTT and I accept that you get what you pay for. but most of these gyms that are opening up around the place arent buying quality equipment, they buy stuff on the cheaper end of the scale. This is the case with gyms like Planet Fitness and the budget gyms where they dont have many trainers to help keep costs low. at least this is the case in my area.
  4. dunno if i agree on the costings of the DB's. Friend of mine can get up to 40kg DBs in increments on 2.5kg for $2500.00. That price is from a wholesaler, he has a girlfriend working for the company. I do however agree to appealing to the masses.
  5. birds is back obviously not a long ban then
  6. most nrl football players come back as obese according to the BMI. It is widely considered to be totall b/s these days, however to answer OPs question. It is hard to change a train of thought over night.
  7. brids was right, depending on how you do deads will depend greatly on what muscles are used the most and at what point. i find normal deadlifts (where you actually hit the ground and reset every rep) to do the entire body, however if i lower the bar to near the ground without actually touching, it hits my back a thousand times more, I also find that I can do more reps this way. sumo deads will do your arse and back more, stiff I find hits my hammys etc etc
  8. thanks for the tip, looks like i need to work on scouting, recognizing what they are doing, expanding creep and the macros.
  9. thanks for the tips, I never scout so thats a bit of an issue for me and because i dont play the other races, figuring out what they are going is obviously difficult. how do your mates build their base up whilst scouting?
  10. ive been playing, new season started recently and I seemed to have gone from gold league to silver which is a bit annoying. This is 3v3 with randoms as well.... need to learn how to macro properly for me to get much better but the keyboard and i dont see eye to eye..... thing that shits me the most about the game, marines with some health ships poon all zerg like they are nothing, it really is a joke imo
  11. you guys are describing every business and industry in the world "you can make money from it but you have to be really good at it"..... I mean really? you dont say? some of the advice given is good others is pretty ordinary imo. Don't dismiss TTT's posts, the essance of what he is saying is correct. The average run of the mill PT probably doesnt earn great cash compared to other run of the mill people with a job like say i dunno a Lawyer or hell even an IT manager/worker. It is one of those industries now where so many people in the age bracket of 18-30 are working which makes competition bigger and harder, which in turn requires you to be better then the rest or at least have something else to offer. Not trying to dismiss the idea or turn you away from it, if you want to be a PT the go for it, hell being one in the Army would be a great career path i my opinion, but know and understand its going to be a hard slog. My 2c
  12. Nokia is a cool phone but has a little while to go before it catches up with the rest of the market imo. I got the S3, no complaints and would recommend.
  13. you mean to tell me all Arabs arent terrorist? there is a meme there somewhere
  14. occasionally im really waiting for the arena though. Really disappointed in Blizzard for not releasing it
  15. thanks for the advice, will take it on board
  16. troy, i read an article in Men's Health yesterday about The Wolfman from the NRL and his rehab after he cracked a vertebrae in his neck. He said that in the gym he started off lifting real light weight but did it really slowly. Apparently its a real good way to come back from injury. Might be something to consider.
  17. cheers for the technique tip ill try to concentrate on it when i do them next. My arms are in proportion so I am not concerned about that, was just thinking of different ways to increase my upper body strength.
  18. so been training a bit lately, but diet has been a bit funky which is stopping any weight gains. I'll be going to the doctor concerning this as I am having a couple issues which i wont divulge into... anyway here to ask a question. I struggle in my upper body lifts, noticeably the bench and my pull ups (wide overhand grip). Also I only barbell curl round 25-30kg for 8 to 10 reps. I was thinking about dropping the curls and doing some close grip chinups to try and help improve my upper body strength. Anyone have any thoughts or opinion? My workout is as above and done with a spotter. Cheers,
  19. thats why you're so sexy.........
  20. i think it depends on how you feel to be honest. personally I cant stand doing chest and then shoulders a day later and thats all due to the pain i get in my chest, makes it awkward and uncomfortable to do shoulders and I feel i dont do as much as i could and should. if you think you get a better workout in the way youre doing it now, then by all means continue, there is no 'one size fits all' solution when it comes to working out. but hey thats my opinion.
  21. buy some albuterex..... Chestbrah swears it will make you shredded in time for the next music festival.....
  22. Hi All, Played this game ages ago and only just started stuffing around with it again. Its like Ebony and those types of games where you build up your city, build armies and what not and go attack others. Wondering if anyone else here is playing or has played it? Website is below. http://en.grepolis.com/ Not the greatest game around, but if you can get away with it, passes time at work...
  23. being in lots of pain isnt always a good thing, it can be a real sign of over training. try increasing the weight (obviously) or change the tempo in which you lift.
  24. excuse the ignorance, but why a heel for squat?
