there is a lot to look out for. I tend to shy away from too much marketing as said for street self defense and calling the gym whatever "tactic" is a red flag for me. Not a complete deal breaker but I hesitate straight away. young instructors as well, generally they are either real bad or real good. But the good ones are more often then not, text book instructors rather then experienced. Have a read if the following link, they have a lot of good tips for picking a good and bad gym. http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=88851 Also google the instructor see what comes up, that can also be a good helper. I dont like the sound of "Expert Level 1" sounds a bit iffy to me. That being said I have only briefly looked at Krav Maga, i dont know its practices and ranks for instructors. There is a World Federation of Krav Maga which I'd recommend seeing if your instructor is there or not. Hope that helps mate.

God I hate saying it.... but Marcs right..... Our cost of living drives up the price of everything. High mark ups? would love to know who/what business you're talking about. I deal with a lot of retails and have a fair idea of their mark ups and after all the bills are paid and the dust is settled, there isnt much left over. When you have a retail shop, you have rent, wages, bills, suppliers all to pay before you pay yourself. When you're online (depending on the company) you have your own garage to store crap in and send it yourself. People need to do whats best for them and if that's buying online to save a couple bucks then goodo

cost of shit over here is a direct cost of people wanting better wages. Have a conversation with people in America everything is of course cheaper but so are the wages. Its all relative

should always do some looking around when it comes to street self defense. Especially places that use "tactics" and others in there name as it can be good marketing but poor training. Find out who the owner is and his background. Birds google Krav Maga Melbourne there is a really good school there.

i go to the local shops. Athletes foot and what not for shoes. I must admit though, my runners last 3-4 years because i dont really run in them.... everything else is rebel or a sport specific shop like Muscle Beach. I rarely buy shit online, I like to support the local businesses, one of those people. The only stuff I buy online is music and stuff I cant get here but I look for Aussie sites.

sorry ghost, wasnt ignoring you just missed the post. for building mass your set should last between 30-70 seconds according to time under tension. but you should also try to get 6-10 reps. http://www.simplyshredded.com/time-under-tension-the-scientifically-engineered-set-timing-technique-2.html gives you an idea of the theory behind time under tension.
-
never used it mate sorry. just found this website which has a few different books that might be of interest http://www.scivationbooks.com/leanmass.htm
-
GTR have you looked into the theory behind time under tension? apparently 70second sets is meant to be the bomb for building mass....

do these skylines have the traction issues that 350z are known to have?? I looked into working the engine in one of these or the 350 (probably turbo) but found with the 350 at least lots of people have traction issues when they take it down the drag strip or around the track. can anyone confirm?

pull ups are on back day, dips are machine and pushups are never done also pushed out 2 sets of 8 reps @ 80kg deadlifts last night

haha oh so true. I believe he was down near 3% body fat. which I guess gives that look off. but also he doesnt do any weight training apparently, only stuff like pushups, pull ups yadda yadda. so the rumors go

Thats what I was thinking.... someone tried telling me ill never look big blah blah, but i didnt really pay attention Kwan looks real short, how much does he weigh and what is his height? my end goal is nothing like that, to me its a little over the top but each to their own.

my build is always a topic for discussion and debate some interesting theories been thrown around, a lot I have read before some others I haven't. I'll try and post some pics of me last year to me now. is anyone or does anyone know anyone who works out with real long limbs?? My spotter is taller then me, yet my legs and arms are considerably longer then his. I am wondering if this is going to make it harder (not impossible) for me to show some real bulk around my arms and legs....

Cam was nearly 80kg in Never Back Down mate, hardly think he needs to eat.... Like it or not he is a naturally thin and small framed guy, would be hard for him to get big. The look he was also after was a that of a slim fighter. Women like it, I workout for the women so if I could achieve and sustain that , I'd be happy...
-
guys name is Cam Gigandet, he was the bad guy in the original Twilight, also the bad guy in Never Back Down. pretty sure he was the "heart throb" in that movie with Christina Agulira..... no homo
-
anyone play it on Xbox 360?? add me Lawless Citizen... be warned i do suck..... also make sure you put in that you're from SAU otherwise I'll ignore the request.

Well dont know if I'm not trainning hard enough, I push out the most weight I can to get to 8-10 reps of struggle. Not one exercise or set do I do easy except for a couple isolation. Not claiming to be strong but since the operation earlier this year and getting back in the gym I have doubled what I was lifting pretty much accross the board. With the increase of effort has come an additional 5kgs this year, so I must be doing something right. I agree that there isnt any perfect workout, but as long as you work hard you will see results which I am starting to see. Thanks for the advice have looked at your logs some impressive lifts...

sale was under 5grand which is why the police are uninterested.... sorry to hear about your loss though mate. I think to get your PI qualification you just have to do a tafe course, exgirlfriend was doing it.... Goodluck though mate.
