  4. Shell, Dont forget when URMINE was stolen the guys drove it around for a while and were spotted numerous times. Paul had a for sale sticker on it and actually had calls from people aobut it after it was stolen. Best of luck in finding this car. As has been said, chasing it will do nothing other than scare the theif further and potentially place others in danger. Follow it at a safe distance, ring the police and everyone you know and play it cool.
  5. Im also using Mozilla Firefox for browsing - some excellent features over IE including pop up stopping ability

  7. GTTR34: I dont believe there is one available at this time. Shoot John an email (sales at uniqueautosports.com) and confirm, im sure he can assist you.
  8. Why are you being picky? because you wanted a good quality job? Thats your right. Go back there and demand that they fix all those screwups. I have recently had my car painted also and I noticed even the slightest discrepency and made it known to them. It sounds like they simply havent taken due car when masking the car for paint or when performing the reassembly and have failed to complete the work to a satisfactory standard.

  12. Ash: Be VERY careful. Sounds like Officer Meppem from Kuringai Highway Patrol. I have had issues with him in the past and he is extremely unpleasent to deal with and does love his work. Did he actually defect you? Regarding the gauge I have a rubber stamped copy of the regulations that state that you can mount gauges in the area at the base of your drivers A-Pillar however they must not sit above the steering wheel. If the items you have been pulled up for arent in fact illegal, then just go to an inspection station and have the car cleared. At the end of the day Police can defect you for whatever they feel if they believe that something on your car may not be illegal. Its a pain in the ass but just do your best to stay out of their way. Unfortunately, a skyline with P's leaving a pub is asking for it. If you werent already aware, police regularly sit down greengate road in unmarked cars near closing time trying to catch people who may have been drinking. /Edit: Driving around with your driving lights on isnt going to help either
  13. My moneys on an AFM wiring problem for sure if not the AFM itself. The fact that you have modified the wiring to the AFM makes it the number one suspect. If the connection to the AFM is faulty if can cause the ECU to go into limp home mode which in effect rev limits the car to around 2500-3000 rpm. This is something that I have experienced in the past after not checking that my AFM plug was fully clipped onto the AFM. Hope this helps
  14. I feel left out now, I never get spotted. Maybe thats because my car lives in lockup during the week
  15. Does anyone bother to read thread dates anymore? Any golden oldie brought back from the dead - welcome to 2002!

  18. Hi guys, Im now facing an issue for the second time that appears to be related to my front swaybar. Mid last year I fitted Apexi AP Engineering damnper adjustable shocks and HKS springs front and back. The car sits very low at the front which I believe was causing the swaybar to rub on parts of the guard lining and come very close to the sump. I had the swaybars replaced at the start of this year with adjustable whiteline items which fixed the imedimate problem as the swaybar was rubbing constantly while driving causing a creaking/squeaking sound from the front. Now however I have another issue. While pulling out of driveways, where the body of the car is twisting as it moves from a slant onto a flat surface, something at the front lets out a shrill screech that sounds like metal touching metal. Nothing is loose, I have checked everything from the strut brace to the shocks and strut tops through to the engine mount and couldnt see anything wrong. I plan to check for some witness marks on the weekend but until then im looking for ideas on where to look. Could my swaybar bushes be stuffed already? Any help is appreciated Nick
