  1. i haven't had a chance to try those sizes on my car yet but i'm assuming they will a tight fit physically, my car is also a manual so i require different offsets to autos. as long as the offset is good then brake clearence wont be an issue. ill check rolling diameters on 265s tomorrow but it would definately need to be a 30 series to be anywhere close to matching a 245/35... il see what i can find but from memory, the only thing close enough to a match was the 235/35 and 275/30 D.
  2. no. you need to match the rolling diameter of the tyres on the front and the back at all times. so, the closest match ive found for 19s is a 235/35/19 on the front for an 8.5" rim and a 275/30/19 on the rear for a 9.5" rim. there is only about 3mm difference in rolling height between the two. that info is from the official tyre standards book i have at work (im a tyre fitter) D.
  3. yeh pm me if you can still do these... D.
  4. good to see you found something, if i ever find the original one, ill let you know D.
  5. next time you need tyres, come up the road to jaxquickfit and find me D.
  6. i flew to melbourne to test drive mine before i got it... first one i'd ever been in let anlone driven, i didnt need much convincing. D.
  7. yay! someone new! i've got an S2 RS4s, only ever seen one M35 in canberra but it had NSW plates. there are about 4 others C34s that i know of, 'the driver' has a white one but last i heard it was bent, there was another white one at trojan motorsport, a silver one that lives in gungahlin somewhere and i think there was a guy down southside with an S1. i also have a white one in my backyard in bits. D.
  8. i also have one but i'm all the way over in canberra D.
  9. wana sell them to me? D.
  10. can i please get a price on slotted R34 GTT fronts and rears? plus postage to canberra 2615 cheers D.
  11. ok measured things today, pads have 6mm of actual pad left, rotors are 28.5mm, min thinkness is 28 so they're basically only good for trial fitting/short term use due to that, price drop to $270 D.
  12. a mate of mine has an R34 GTT for sale, its a 5 speed coupe, white, factory nismo body kit, eyelids, hks bov, had a new genuine coilpack or 2 a few months ago and it has new (fitted about 2 months ago but hardly driven on) 20" AU racing wheels, they're black 5 spoke with nice big shiney dish and 225/30/20 falken 452 tyres (all fitted by me). also comes with the stock GTT wheels with good nexen tyres. basically it's stock as, no mods besides what's above, have a dyno printout from the last sau dyno day at esp too, made 168kw, stock as a rock. i'm pretty sure he wants $24 000 ono, his number is 0447374540 and his name is andy, give him a call after about 6pm any day if you're interested. D.
  13. i have a pair of R33 calipers and rotors for sale, calipers are painted up nicely in gold, i bought them in perfect working condition but never used them as they didn't bolt up to my S2. i have now got some R34 fronts so dont need these ones. they come with pads, clips and all but one pin. i'm still looking for the 4th pin at work, hopefully i will find it but if not, it shouldn't be too hard to make one up. the rotors were slotted but they're getting pretty low so there isn't much of the slots left, they are still legal and have a few mm left on them. they were also machined when i bought them. i will measure them tomorrow along with the pads $300ono + postage or will swap for R34 front rotors in good condition. let me know what you have. D.
  14. mobil 8000 is good stuff... D.
  15. every time you set up for an alignment, the numbers will be slightly different, but nowhere near that much! going from -.1 to -1.6 is a pretty big jump but -.1 to -6.6??? something is deffinately wrong there... basically they're saying that your tie rod has moved in 6mm which unless you've hit something or someone left the nut loose, is pretty much impossible. go back to the tyre place, tell them what's going on, show them the printout from the other place and ask them if they'll just set it up and check it for you and see what their screen says... they shouldn't charge you as most places will have a warranty on alignments. also ask both places when they last calibrated their machines because, depending on what type of aligning system their using, even the slightest knock to one of the heads can put it all out of whack. D.
  16. manual stags have factory adjustable camber in the rear but i'm pretty sure autos dont D.
  17. that R34GTT wheel that wrxhoon is selling is the same as a manual stagea wheel, i have an auto one with the tiptronic buttons, fits the same and has a airbag, you can have it for $150 or if anyone has a momo wheel for sale, ill buy it and then ill have my manual wheel for sale. D.
  18. well you got ripped on the alignment, we charge $80 for a 4 wheel alignment, i know we charge slightly less than most other shops in our area but noone charges close to $130. castor bushes took me half hour tops to fit, start to finish. they are not hard to change, pressing them out and new ones in took me 10min max. most suspension shops wont suggest adjustable castor rods as they view them to be weak and flimsy as you're replacing a solid steel rod with a hollow alloy tube with threads in it. not the strongest sounding thing to do, so they suggest bushes which i guess also allows them to charge more labour because they can tell you it takes longer. we charge $110hr for suspension jobs, it probably would take our mechanic about 3 hours to the job but that said, i've seen easy jobs take double the time if something isn't cooperating. if you got printouts of all the alignments then take them all to a few other suspension or tyre shops and get some other opinions but also go back to where you got it done and ask them why it took so long and why there isn't much difference in the results. D.
  19. ill do the bare doors for $360, no dents, no scratches and i'm pretty sure there's no rust, except maybe a touch under the mirrors but they all have that. i can take pics if you really want. i'm not sure what freight will be... never sent anything that big before... unfortunately i dont have any time during bussiness hours to get quotes so that would be up to you but i can have them dropped off anywhere. my post code is 2615 if that helps you at all. i guess the easiest way to send would be on a pallet....? all wrapped up snugly of course. let me know if you want them and ill pull them off the car this weekend and start packing them up the car's white by the way D.
  20. i have a set of doors, $100ea will be fine for them and i'm happy to pack them and drop them to any freight depot here in canberra. do you just need the bare doors with the mechinisms and stuff or do you want windows, door cards and all the handles too? D.
  21. idea on price? ill definately be down for a set. how about the boot mat as well? D.
