I did find out they exported a few R34 to Hong Kong and NZ the first year early in rhe model 98 R34 Mostly 4 dr and GTT but no 40th models the badges were slapped on afterwards most likely pealed off some poor souls r33 like a merc star hood symbol in New york city the rappers liked those or hillbillly with the Old dodge ram or mack truck dog on his bush bashing 4x4

How Hard Is It Really To Get Parts For R34?
Carbon 34 replied to zacj11's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Adelaide ( nissan) is poor for silly parts like gaskets and seals Even interstate nissan doesnt have parts like throttlebody gasket or wheel seals ( cbc bearings had them anyway) I have a 9/2000 series 2 and some parts dont exist in oz even japan is back ordered , fast doesnt show up all my parts factory installed so that is annoying but you can find just about everything major in oz or on sau used its only a drama on little crap but after a little digging around you can find just about anything and some suprising finds as well -
Samco think there 16mm if I remember right Or you see them a lot on ebay uk

Terry insurance companies are idiots and tarnish all of the lambs with the same brush and goverment follows right along with them rates just keep going up change the laws problem on car theft and make it a Real crime with big prison time would help , joy riders would think twice and meth heads would get prison and be off the streets , serious crims would still get away but dont target 10 grand cars either top end models worth heaps and its on a ship hour later to be rebirthed in another country I would be more worried about garage door scanners and home invasion for your keys Its happened here a fair bit lately insurance is a must for skylines so many get nicked uninsured or left on dark streets at night in the hood , you wouldnt leave your wallet on that corner with no money in it an expect to find in in the am so why leave your car your prize on unprotected , its the second most expensive item most people purchase !!! cars , number 1 house Even dogs can be defeated with ease in seconds and not lethal , so dont put that as your saving grace , they are a good measure in general to pre alert you at least
-
Thats to keep people from changing settings who shouldnt be driving the car like drunk mates not real security , hand controllers around here get stolen or defected Anyway I could override it in 30 seconds or less now that i know its in your car !!! Beware of the security details dumped on the net in a public forum people Common sense 101 stops theft at level 1 Keep the thief guessing dont let them make a shopping list of tools to get your car
-
That device is only able to scan newer cars with push button start or keyless entry ( the kind where your keys stay in your pocket ) its scanning for rfid transmissions , rfid is used in just about every store as security on anything of value and sets off the beeping when you leave that is rfid but the transmitter scanner is at the door out and the chip is the antenna sticker on the label . You can only use this device on cars with high output rfid transmitters like factory uses And odb2 and newer cars that use databus type The Factory factors in idiots who want the car to unlock from a km away without touching buttons or remote start it from outer space ?? you can get close proximity transmitters that require a few mm to pick up the signal ( like a door swiper card in office) Skylines dont use that tech on r34 or older unless its aftermarket doesnt matter anyway a tow truck can get any car just as easy , the key is being able to track it or prevent the theft in the first place with common sense and mutiple layers of security !! Ever car should use a club lock even a cheap one slows down joy riders , taking a club lock off with a screaming car alarm that is sending gps tracking data to owner or police while strobes are flashing inside the car blinding the crim with blue dots and under the low car out of reach and screamer pain generating siren is blazing the crims ears out hidden inside the car and so many more tricks to stop theft , like double locked garage, alarmed , big dog , bollard pole in garage ? The list is huge but at some point it becomes as simple as moving to a better area if crime is that bad you could be in danger too ?? Laws on car theft need to be severe ( laws are weak on mutiple repeat offender kids and crims in oz) they get away with too much That would fix a lot of theft , bubba would make you his gf in prison for 20 years Dont sweat that scanner if you buy a new car get added layer of aftermarket security over factory and club lock and common sense ??

I was like two cars behind you when they yanked you on kellies cruise lol , i just bought the r34 a few months before that

Go to bunnings and buy a pvc block off screw in type in correct size 2.5" or ? That way you can use hose clamps to hold it in tight ? And buy a quick release screw on fitting for aircompressor , drill out the pvc in the centre and let it self tap into the plastic , rtv silicone it outside ( dont want a chunk of silicone breaking off into your intake) use that for pressure test instead you can buy two block offs if you want to test in closed loop Dont go nuts watch the compressor pressure it could crack the thin tubes fmic with ease You could get fancy and do a vacuum fitting to attach boost gauge as well
-
Ffs how many times have you been defected krishy ?? Racial profiling you or what ?
-
All good info for r33 owner Check engine codes jot down and fix !! Fix all the vacuum leaks in fmic It will have some Clean iac ( in this weather idle goes crazy when its dirty) Clean plugs or change Clean coil packs and crack check Check o2 sensor , replace or at least clean off Clean afm wire with proper cleaner and change or clean airfilter no oil type!! Check vacuum line from fuel reg to manifold for cracks or looseness Change fuel filter Clean battery terminals And reset ecu at the same time , Now go for a short drive , driving normal should be better or fixed

Not anymore lol the osaka acid rain etched it so bad the dealer used a steel wool pad to try and rid the car of etched glass , which i had to polish out the fine scratches on the rear window :-( The paint is the super hard as well and after 3 runs of m105 cutiting compound shines like glass again

Damn car isnt ready lots of work little time to finish it right But kadina is a blast highly recommend it

Is It Necessary To Run In A New Engine?
Carbon 34 replied to BOOSTBIG's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Yes it is And the oil is critical ( type and prelube on cams etc) i would never flog a brand new engine build unless your wallet is thick and racing required it !! yes racing a quick run in to seat rings and bearings , check for leaks etc , heat cycle it a few times before a caning it But have built many engines and popped them into race cars after 5 min of checking for leaks off to the races without drama and it lasted most of the season before melting a forged piston ( fuel related failure ) -
How soon do you need rack bushings ? I have superpro kit to fit so my factory ones are coming off ? Low km r34
-
Its been modified so much the value is lost if it is one? I know someone who had a r33 40th the model year change over to r34 is 8/98 so find out the year of that car ? Its not in any sales brochures for r34 ? Or in the normal hyper rev isses etc ? It could just have r33 badges ?? Be a first to hear about R34 with the 40th kit out?
-
To do it right means new shocks as well ? But the cost will skyrocket fast. New bushings most likely too Depending on rims 30 mm might be enough or too much ? Offset and diameter You dont need to be racing to have your bumpstops fling you off the road in the right circumstances it can do it any just about any speed , you go from shocks to solid frame handling but its very unpredictable and unsafe
-
Rainex antifog but in my past its only good on house mirrors lol Turn on ac and place airflow in recurculated it will dry them fast as hell Outside rain ex works in mutiple thin layers or glass wax R34 came with a anti condensation coating factory on side glass ( which is why its a bugger to clean off acid rain lol) i found it on the sales brochure along with two paints same code one hard , one normal ??

Which Front Bumper For R34 Gtt?
Carbon 34 replied to RSFOURDayz's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
The first car has a longer overhang which is rhe issue Mine is nearly flat on stock s2 34 and will grind off on just about everything if approached straight on on angle my car heavy bracing turns the car into a teater totter pulling opposite wheels off the ground it makes people look lol so stiff in the chassis you can floor jack 1 spot and it picks up 3 wheels at once lol like a go kart handling flat and rides better Not so loose feeling -
Cant remember how many mm my past 3 r31 were lowered think about 25mm if your current shocks are newish and not leaking You can lower a bit but the bumpstops will hit , you can find lower ones or trim off a little of the current ones , but remember once your on the stops your driving no suspension and in a high speed corner your heading for the trees , it slams down and unloads the wheels in a bad way The r31 suffers heavy engine sags front springs And worn balls joints etc is common so if all that is in good nick new springs will bring it more level Chuck in a sub and amp and your level haha kings ride way better not like a wandering boat you might have load /towing shocks or helper springs if the car has towed before so check first

On my r34 the book shows 30mm less headroom And i can confirm that ( my head is flat on top now haha) Best of luck its a love /hate relationship Its great on night runs on nice nights or to vent farts lol The dynamat is the bonnet foam type not tar based kind
