  2. After having a trip in the back seat of a 4 door/sedan skyline all the way up the sunny coast one day. I wont do it again Im not THAT tall, but you hit a bump, and you will hear 1-3 yells of pain from the back seat!
  3. It aint broke, but it makes it better, so your not fixing your improving. I put one on and noticed the difference. Turned down the pressure a bit more, noticed it being even better, and fuel economy went up (from where it was previously set). I think they are a worth while investment/ way to waste more money on the car, as cars are a waste of money
  4. So what have most of you guys actually done? ECU, turbo, extra fuel??? Anything else like custom manifolds to pulse the turbo more, or just stock manifold??? Any other 'crazy' stuff like that?
  5. Things I noticed. Shaved rear door handles, and Chrome mirrors. BTW thats the EXACT front bar I had till I had a misshap with a parking gutter thingy (had the car for a few weeks at the time and was still learning the dimentions) And I want the lip back So if anyone has one in good nick and doesnt want it, let me know!

Yeah well my after seeing what 1GGTEs can do (toyota 2L inline 6cyl for those that dont know, came turbo and supercharged) I know of people who have made 400rwhp (no correction on the dyno on a 28* day from memory) off these stock internals, just a bit of head work all bolt ons, (quality) and a big mofo turbos. They are a square block, but I dont see why RB20s are THAT much different to the toyota version albit stronger engine, but still, thats lota ponies. (in terms of flow espceically) Im all for the RB20. Im just up agaist it a bit more having an extra 200kgs or so than most of you lot.
  8. Yeah mines fine. However we did have a black toped one on for a while, and that caused some major issues. Replaced it with a new silver topped one and fine and dandy. You can watch the gauge all day, heat changes etc, its fine. But as with everything I think age misstreatment and bad luck can play a part, and you never hear people whining about how GOOD a product is, only how bad one is.
  9. But Roy, under boost wouldnt the extra 0.5L make a fair bit of difference, even considering the other factors? Also as you keep saying the RB20 head dont flow too much compaired to the rb25 head etc.

  12. Yeah, you might want to get stiffer springs if it was a good ride in the S13. If its a hard ride in the s13 Id guess it would be cool with the spring rates etc.

  19. 1st gear? Far out. Not even worth wasting the time. Sure we all do stupid things from time to time... But 1st gear??? I ask you, is anyone THAT stupid?

  21. Lag on the stock turbo? Far out dude, maybe it isnt stock! Mines full 12psi at 3000rpm 1/4 gas in 5th no worries. Its just off the line if I dont give it the revs I have a prob, then its more no revs than the turbo. Im with BHDave on this now! Get a bloody V8 ya hoon!
  22. Few things I noticed on mine. If I ease on the boost it hits 12psi and stays there. If I boot it, its smooth (but real fast) to 15psi, then drops back to 12psi and stays there, change gears its 12psi again. So I think its just a cheap non water filled gauge. With the boost I had mine on 14psi in winter (with a bit of a cold air set up) I thought it was a tad unsafe because at the time I didnt have a adj fuel pressure reg, so I put it back down to 13psi and found it went faster. I have since got a fpr, and lowered the boost, I find I now get REALLY good fuel economy, where as 13psi I didnt. Strange but hey. BTW Im also running the stock cooler.
