  1. Well my day has sucked. Been throwing up and sleeping all day. Just been able to hold down a glass of water this past hour or so. So everyone else do your bloody best to enjoy it! Make up for my lack of celibrations.
  2. My oppinion, I dont like 2 door cars to start with, or cars with no boot... So R34 is heaps impractial. But when you compair, BRAND new car with warrenty etc, 4 doors, full nice leather interior, etc etc, to a Japanese left over with no warrenty, and if your importing yourself no test drive and all that... I know where Id rather spend my money. Having said that tho, if I pored another $75k in to the Ceffy I really dont think much would get near it on the track or anywhere. And I find the GenIIIs have some decent top end power, such as just walking away from me at 150kmh or so, deadeven to that point.
  3. I saw R U QIK A today, down at Greenmont (greenmount can never remeber) Saw the sticker. Must have been going for a surf or something. Once again, another lovely day for it!
  4. Send them an email back with lots and lots of stupid questions. Such as... "I have Carrozzeria speakers in my car, if I take them out of my japanese car and sell them to my mate with a commodore, will the work properly? Or as its not a japanese car will the stuff up???" Just ask HEAPS of those. Then at the end put a P.S "some help would be appreciated"
  5. Two rite you can! I got one. Not that there is a lot of difference, I mean if the conversion is done correctly with all the center bits and the park brake moved etc. Should be apples.
  6. You're joking me. They dont miss a bloody trick hey. Unbeliveable. But hey, its the rest of the car that counts. I know I wouldnt be able to live without mine (slight exageration). Just keeeeep on enjoying it.
  7. Yes and no... They are both rb20s. They have a few slight differences. Nice buy but. Quite a few Cefs getting round now with good power out of the rb20.
  8. Saw GRY32 (I think its GRY) down at curbumin today. Guess he was beaching it. Lovely day for it.
  9. Nice one, shame about the wharfies nicking your gear, they got me too. Barstards. Nice power tho. Hopefully see ya out one day.
  10. The only place a 3inch pipe can fit There aint a lot of room in there. We got the scars to prove it too. But if I look between the bumper an the light you can see the pipe there no worrys. (my front bar kinda hangs a bit low, there shouldnt be a gap)
  11. HeyHey! Hippo Birdy man! How old this time round?
  12. Ok, best pic as I can get due to no digital camera. I should give you a fair idea on where the pipe is going. On mine it stops flush under the light, but we did have to cut out a small amount of metal. Its tight, but its not kinked and doesnt flop about. Hope that helps (God bless MSpaint!)
  13. Yep! I have probably 3foot worth of that flexible cold air pipe stuff the 3inch stuff. Now it goes from the front bar, and sorta sits when looking directly at the front between the intercooler and the radiator (for obvious reasons we still wanted air flow to both) then it goes up behind the head light, (left corner) runs below and behind that, the come out and the air flows directly to the pod. If you go have a look at the car its a lot easer to work it out. I noticed a HUGE difference, so Id guess the box would help even more. But just one question, is there anything that would sheld the heat better???
  14. Well when you think about it probably not... A moblie mechanics fee would be about $60per hour labour only, no parts fluids etc. And well, while your working paying for it... or you could waste a weekend just pulling them out, then having to find another mode of transport to get to work etc. But I dont see how a GTR is more exxy than a commo???
  15. I dont... New Zealanders live there...
  16. No rails for them tho Nico??? And Im guessing they dont bolt up to standard ones?
  17. Go to 2 for 1 tinting down the coast. They are the best. Colour tint is legal, but it comes under the same ruling as normal tint, as in can not be darker than 35% or whatever it is. You can also have a slight reflectiveness to your tint, however that figure is pretty darn low, like 10% or something. But yeah, 2 for 1 tinting is where its at, dont quote me but I think the prices for the colour is only slightly higher if anything than normal tint.
  18. Id say its a laurel yeah, dunno about the cop car tho...
  19. An auto unladed HQ 6cyl is about 1350kgs Just for the record. But they arent made from plasic, and dont have any form of crumple zones. Thats what does the damage.
  20. Man not nice hey. Hes paying for it I hope...
  21. Another one for Jamie... My dad used them about 2months ago. Really impressed with the service, and noticed a big difference on his commo, and the car still had a stuffed coil pack. So Id say it does work. BTW my dad is fussy as, so if he says they are good, then 99% chance they are. BTW the total was $220.00 for his, included all labour pulling them out, putting them in etc, obviously a 6cyl.
  22. So once again out of interest, how much head work are we talking here? Also would it not be a good idea to o-ring the head (yes head not block as your gona blow blocks not heads, so you get one good head, and just keep swaping blocks) As much as I know Im throwing money away, I still reckon Id be better off keeping the RB20 than going for an engine swap, so Im interested to know what needs to be done.
  23. Dude, that music has heaps of bass. Bass riffs, all the druming etc. 4inchs just will not cut it at all. They just dont have the size for decent lower midrange. Trust me, it sounds better with a good midrange speaker and a sub, thats pretty much ALL the music I listen to, Id never go back to anything off the head unit, and never run a system without a sub again. As I've mentioned my speakers dont cut it (partly set up) and they are MB Quart discus 5 1/4inch, RMS rating of 90watts (not cheap and nasty), and they are just lacking. As I say my oppion, but I've had both set ups, and I know what sounds better, sounds more full etc.
  24. Well, my mate put a teacossie on his turbo, and he said it made a noticible difference. And well, given the other options, I know what Id be asking santa for. (other than a hot brunett...)
  25. Strange question, but do you have the heater on to keep the heat out of the engine, etc?
