  1. I go the 5 1/4 inch discus series in my car, and MY GOD! I love them hey, I want to hug them every nite almost, they are so damn clear! I really need the 6 1/2s for the music I listen to, so enjoy them. (ps, wanta swap for the smaller speaker )
  2. Everything else gets louder too tho, like exaust, diff, wind noise, rattles...
  3. Ok, I have a Cefiro, 10inch JL sub, 5 1/4inch MB Quart Discus splits up the front, both running off amps. Question being, do I need rear fill at all, I have some cheap VDO 4inch two ways I can put back there, or I can put the 6x9s back (the carrozza jap ones that sit on the parcel shelf). Like is putting anything back there going to distort the sound I already have, or will it just make it sound more 'full' so to speek. Also, where would the best position for the sub be? (pre fab box)
  4. Ok dude. Where you left knee is. Its up there somewhere. On my 88 model it was a black box, say about 4-5cms x 5-7cms. Just unplug it, ding ding ding is gone. There is another one that is attached to the door, and the head light beeep, so if that stops happening, then its the other one. To get rid of it from this point, do 110kmh on the highway, AND THROW THE BASTARD OUT THE WINDOW!!!
  5. Out of interest, why would you want more pressure on the track? I've never really found out the reason why.
  6. Dude, it seriously could be anything. Could just be something as simple as the idle is set wrong.
  7. Do either of you two know how well the fit on a ceffy? With say r32 M spec brakes?
  8. Dude, I dont think its a dog, or a cat, maybe a furry rat??? Like my cats are small, dont have that much fur, and are twice as big as that thing was...
  9. That was mad fun hey! Well done to Erin and the vast crew of organisers. I rather enjoyed the day. Awesome weather! LONG LIVE MS(+C,L, and other S)C! I reckon have one every quarter and choose a different charity. Maybe even hit a few Magazines up to cover the event and get them to donate money/products etc. But yeah awesome drive, I reckon we should do more drives like that, most of the way the speed limit was 80-100kmh anyway, so it was interesting enough without pushing anything too far. Really well done hey.
  10. Ahh well, makes me glad I live in QLD and dont go to the 'hot spots'
  11. Are you guys 100% sure they are testing your cars correctly??? Anything over 100dB is real lould hey, I think they are testing the noise level too close. Just my oppinion.
  12. As stated by Squizz, a 924 is an Audi, it has a porka badge to sell it. I would say a rival to it would be an old school rwd celica... They should be burnt. A 944 is a porsche however, a LOT more ridgid, better engine etc, they are what the 924 would have been if porsche did it from scratch. A 968 was going to be a 944, but they changed too much stuff to keep the name. 928s in my oppinion arent too crach hot, I know of someone in the US who ripped out the porka engine and put in a 350 chev as it was cheaper to run, more reilable, cheaper on parts, made more power, was quicker, and 150kgs LIGHTER.
  13. BTW, Id be asking questions if it read at 104dB, thats REALLY lould man. Because if Im correct dB is on a parabola curve, so 1dB more is a LOT loulder.
  14. Mines a bit of 3inch or 3.5inch pipe off the standard dump. Never had any probs with it hey. And its really quite lould, as you would expect. Maybe up here is different.
  15. Or, just make custom ones???
  16. LoL, thats exactly what I did when he told me! I was crying! Sooo funny. But deadset hey, if this thing hit the ground it would have been a goner anyway. Crazy arse possums. But just remember, DONT HIT WOMBATS!
  17. I thought detrots were locked under power? So going round a corner they would lock up if powering in/out of it??? I have a 2way, and I know every time I move my foot off the go pedel it turns better, quite bad at times.
  18. So the possum was on the road? Pfft! A possum kamakaized its self in to my mates car once, jumped out of a tree in to the car. Tidy as MK1 Cortina, recked the grill, but that was about it. Deadset hey, this possum wanted to die. Shame about the front bar tho, excuse to get a new one?
  19. No... no one did... it was always for the kids! *remember they are still watching!*
  20. And what Im saying even if you can I highly highly doubt they would be any better than the standard item, and for probably close to the same money I would think the R32/33 brakes would be a HELL of a lot better. Next time you are in a carpark go find a maxima and look at the brakes.
  21. Like the 'scramble' button on some ECBs I would have thought. And just pointing out if anyone doenst know, they are running a control cosworth engine these days which as far as I know have a larger capacity than the older pre control engines. Sooo at a guess as they are a control engine they would have to be more reliable, there for more capacity, a bit less boost... So once again at a guess I would say (for a race car) they are running a fairly conservative tune.
  22. Shouldnt we have warnings for that sorta stuff?
  23. Doesnt hot air travel faster? So what you gain you in cooling, you lose in air speed, as Im guessing its rather a small gain? Also wouldnt a cai, and or an intercooler help more? Not reading the whole article but I would also be guessing its more for aplications where an intercooler is not posible?
