Best is normal springs, a little stiffer, and aftermarket sway bars. It will produce the best ride and handeling, which is obviously also the safest.

Id be going the SK group buy stuff. Just go look at his suspension 101 which is stickied in the suspension section. He has the pictures of the valves from a mono shock, and a twin tube (twin tube = japanese coilover). From that alone you cant seriously look at any other option. And Im guessing Im probably the only person on here who has had full madcore jap shocks, then to the same jap shocks rebuilt but with lower spring rates, then to the same spring rates in the orginal coilover casing with the bilstein inserts. So that way I have had a direct comparison. Trust me, the bilsteins are the ONLY way to go, they are 100% better than shocks that were specifically rebuilt to suit the spring rates and my car.

Yeah, kinda clip on... I think its more so stuck on... not just clipped. So there might be a bit of stuffing about with it. But yeah thats pretty much it.

But the only way to 'step' up was to go smaller capacity turbo. Which isnt really what the general buying aussie public would want. Remember there were also some pretty hefty resrictions against the V8s to start with. And the GTR was an internationally used car, the Aussie cars werent. That makes a lot of difference in R&D dollars and testing time.

The other trick is... You say your happy to pay full retail price. However you want the 'following' list of extras included at no extra charge. Doesnt always work when your buying the model higher up in the range tho.

No dude. Thats the end of racing when they allow a FWD platform with no V8 in it to be run as a RWD race car. Then we get the NASCAR crap, where if one car wins more than 1 race in a row its because they are cheating. I mean, all the nascar actual cars that are in the showrooms are now FWD base. Well, TECHNICALLY, they arent the same class of cars... So the GTR would still hold an overall record, which happens to be in a class that is no longer in Australia. So it obviously cant be broken.
