From my mates research the new motec should actually be cheaper than the new equivant haltech. So Id look in to it a bit more. He does have a 4cyl, but got a quote of $2200 installed, but not tuned for the motec. Spend all that money to skimp on the bit that actually runs it. Id rather save for another month or 3. Just me tho.

You have no idea who I am, or what my personallity is, or how comical this thread actually is. Its a fairly well known fact that for what my cefiro has (ie exaust filter, and a bleedvalve, no front mount etc) it goes pretty bloody good, but anything with a bigger turbo (ie rb25 turbo) is going to beat me. I just find it funny that its the same engine, in a lighter car, yet I end up in front. Anyway, back to the 300zx things are the greatest and skylines suck topic, which is the orginal topic.

LoL, my mechanic has made some REALLY good money because of someone did that! Out and in with the engine 4 times now I think. He was told by the engine builder not to put the cams in, so what does he do, puts the cams in. At I think $1200 a pop, hes paying for buying a 300.

Ahh yes however my list of performace mods has cost me a total of $300, not totalling 300 items, and thats including my $30 boost gauge. My car is 'fricken' heavy compaired to yours. You sure? My understanding a ton was 1000kgs. So compaired to an R33 thats fairly light. But stock for stock I think I'll place my money on the 300. Id never own one tho, my mechanic basically tells people to never ever buy them as they are ess hit, and if they do get one, dont go see him. Its funny as. And cefiros are still faster than R32s without 'r's in their letter arangements.

You will need a new/ chopped down tailshaft, new clutch slave cyl, and probably be a good idea to get a new cluch and your fly wheel cleaned up etc, and you need to work out the speedo-drive. Done it, its nice. LOTS of peace of mind.

Its got some kit on it. Didnt look too bad, but WAY too low, and WAY too big wheels, and its slow.

I got one too. Dead set awesome clutch. And one of my mates has a full custom one from him in his 3sgte corolla. Very bitey, but so soft to the foot. To get his number just google his name. At least give him a ring.
