  1. I can't bite my tongue any longer. DANGER TO MANIFOLD
  2. i've had it on previous cars and it was a case of splicing into the ECU wires.
  3. When my trip computer says -- (e.g., zero kilometres left before i run out of fuel), the most i have ever filled up was approx 65 litres.
  4. I dont really understand the question. Is this your first manual car?
  5. The gaskets are attached to the spacer. The lower gasket, may or may not have come with your kit depending which one you got. Its not required anyway, theres nothing wrong with the stock one. He only has to remove the plenum. In all seriousness have a go at it yourself. If you have a socket set and a torque wrench its not too hard. 3 to 4 hours of your time and you'll get to know the car a bit better.
  6. Don't worry about what other people think. If YOU like the rims then you should buy them. But since you asked.. they are close to the ugliest wheels I've ever seen.
  7. i have them on mine, but in machine polished silver. i think the ones with the black edges (in the pics you posted) actually look better!
  8. That is an excellent outcome. You should be wrapped.
  9. OK so im back in. Do we just rock up on the day or is there some sort of pre-registration required?
  10. As above. Once its registered just spend some quality time getting to know the car, and change all of the fluids. Engine oil at a minimum. It'll help you sleep at night
  11. Insurance companies are pricks. They'll only pay you for whatever wheel was damaged, rather than replacing the whole set. I've been through this before. I explained to them that its like somebody stealing one of your shoes, its no good being paid out the cost of half a pair of shoes, because you dont want to end up walking around on one nike shoe and one adidas shoe. The best you can do IMO is inflate the cost of the wheels, but it might be too late now. I would try to play it nice from now on. You've already accepted their offer and taken their money. I wonder if they're legally obliged to consider your claim any further?
  12. Nice steering wheel . I have the same on my 2003 model. You dont see many of them!
  13. Good choice in wheel.. they are getting popular
  14. Did you have the battery unplugged? If so, give it a few days of regular driving and it will go away.
  15. It is clearly a different car. Check out the shaken stickers. Having said that, the one you ended up with actually looks a bit cleaner! In any case, for your own sanity, you should drill the guy until he tells you what happened... Maybe pass the vehicle details onto an importer, to see if they can do a search to see if something matching the description recently went through auction. It could be a case that he paid less for this car and kept the difference.
  16. Yep thats fine mate. I'll try find it tomorrow.
  17. btw, this is where im at now. its since sunk about 10mm as the coilovers wore in. http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//coiloversin2.JPG http://users.tpg.com.au/xscape23//coiloversin3.JPG
  18. Nice wheels My 9.5 +18 rears, wearing 275 wide tyres, were VERY close to scrubbing. In fact one of them was scrubbing until i had the camber adjusted (using the factory camber bolt). I've since had my guards rolled and dropped the car even lower. I'm now suffering the same problem as nightcrawler. It has caused additional camber and the wheels tuck-in too much, looking much crapper than before. My plan of attack is to eventually fit some spacers and slightly stretched tyres (245 maybe). Night crawler, if you could throw up some pictures of your setup with 20mm spacers, it would be really appreciated.
  19. Thanks turbosuk, that would be great. skylinev35, they are WORK wheels. Varianza SC2. 20x8.5 +11 front 20x9.5 +18 rear I would have liked it if the offsets were a LITTLE more agressive, perhaps +5 and +10, or thereabouts.
