Well I work during the day 8-5.30, then I'm at TAFE for my Management course 6-10pm two night per week. Plus I get lots of homework, drafting assignments, CAD assignments etc to do on the nights I'm not at tafe. So I very much enjoy my Friday and Saturday nights ... and weekends in general! I WIN

Same here ... for the same reason. Had an assessment at tafe today before going to work. Got sent home from assessment and told to sit it next week! Called work and told them I wasn't coming in.

Wednesdays is exactly moving forwards ... more like backwards to me. Less traffic on the road ultimately makes it more risky regarding cops. Besides, don't stats show that more accidents occur on Wednesdays? I agree its lame.

The pics and specs reveal its a 3000cc V6 ... and the engine bay pics show the intake from the airbox runs short to the throttle body at the back of the engine ... ... therefore it must be a VQ30DD

I'm just annoyed at looking like a tool due to someone elses actions. I suspect the original group (who didn't have a deposit and lost their time slot to my booking) got their timeslot back by submitting a deposit over the weekend. Kart Mania are obviously in it for the money, so they took their booking and cancelled mine. I'm of course only speculating, but I wouldn't be surprised. I should have put a deposit on it regardless of mentioning the SAU name and being told "thats okay". I'll organise another date (it'll be months from now tho) and repost a fresh thread. We can still all meet at Vilis this friday anyway for a chat and pie ... and I'll have the refund for those few who paid.

SORRY GUYS, BUT THE SAU KARTING NIGHT THIS FRIDAY IS CANCELLED! Our booking was given to another group, because there was no deposit even tho they didn't ask for one and took the booking for SAU from our previous night there. They didn't even inform me. I rang this arvo to confirm it and advise of possible numbers, thats when they told me. Grrrrr. That is exactly my point of being discrete. My fmic is black, my HKS filter still has the air intake and filter box top still in place, upgraded turbo has the heat shields in place, suspension is 'lower' but not 'dumped', etc. I've been checked over 3 times now and I've been polite and they've let me go.

The whole issue is not about volunteering info/specs on your car, but rather leave it for them to find out ... and if they do, don't bullshit them. You can get let off with a warning. Be a dickhead and you won't. You can't go flaming cops because you get busted lying. And if you go cruising around with 19" rims, wires dangling everywhere, hi mount turbo, and all the other bling that screams "defect me" ... then don't be surprised when you get defected. Cop it sweet. I just can't understand the logic of some people who want a cars that screams "mine is faster than yours", yet want to left alone by the cops. And if you are going to act like a dickhead and lie and all, then please at least remove the SAU sticker if you have one.

^^^ Exactly. Alot of you guys have mods on your cars. You know it, the cops know it. The problem with car drivers is that they can't be discrete anymore; you don't even try to make your car look stock or at least presentable (dangling wires = fail; bov = fail; etc). Lies might work on mommy and daddy, but cops are trained to read bullshit. The first thing any cop will do is give you the attitude test, and this test is ongoing. Lie and cop a bigger punishment. They will find something to defect a stock car for ... they will find more things to make your life hell if you drive a modded car. If you wanna go down in a blaze of glory for a small thing, then good for you. Let the others make up their minds how they should great a cop when they see one. Being discrete starts with you.

Bugger! I was looking more at working around dates already reserved for events, rather than paying attention to what that particular event was Anyway, the bowling night still stands. It'll be more of a cruise first then bowl ... whereas Steve's night is a dinner then bowl. Why not go to both people?
