The megatron and bumblebee ones look half-decent, but this is a bit much. It's such an in-your-face money grabbing exercise. The shoes are meant for children, so would be even crapper quality than usual Nike shoes which fall apart after a year. The designs look seriously uninspired. If you took the transformers logo stitched on the tongue off then they would have no resemblance to anything in the transformers universe. I mean, I love transformers but seriously, the original episodes were 22-minute toy ads, pretty much what Pokemon became. Smoke him I fail at Chinese.

When you see random dodgy cars in your quiet street, best thing to do is to stare at the driver for as long as you can (and make sure they know you are staring at them) or even pretend to write down their rego. It kinda acts as a deterrent to potential thieves looking for effortless pickings because they know if something gets stolen in the near future from the street, guess which car rego and driver description will come up first?

Dude that sucks! Is it a standalone garage with a back door or is it connected to the house and they broke through the front? Hopefully that never happens to me. Must've been a directed hit. My mates have left their garage doors accidentally unlocked with goodies, including mountain bikes, rims, etc inside without anying stealing them because they live in a quiet court like yourself, so must've been someone who knew what was in there and premeditated.

Silver R33 GTS-T on City Rd, South Melb around 8 am. Silver R33 GTR in Williamstown Safeway carpark around 6:30 pm.

That would be kinda creepy. You're driving in the middle of the night on a deserted rural road and then suddenly you see this group of shiny people next to you. Would probably freak the shit out of me and cause an accident. But then again, I've watched too many zombie movies...

Don't worry, as everyone has said. Drive sensibly and you generally won't be defected, unless you have an obviously defectable exterior eg., neons, massive polished intercooler piping, ride height, huge sharp metal GT wing, etc. The things that attract attention under the hood are gigantic top-mount turbos, enormous pipe-organ air pipes and chromed engine covers with HKS 2.8L scrawled across it, etc. Keep it simple and you should be fine.

http://www.theage.com.au/national/new-spee...90712-dh4f.html I'm sure most of you know about this, but 53 new speed cameras are going to be installed starting tomorrow. Not sure where the locations will be yet. I can't believe some cameras are still wet-film. Personally, I welcome combined speed/red light cameras at busy city intersections because they likely do reduce the road toll, though hidden mobile speed cameras on dead-straight rural freeways is another question. However, the accuracy of the speed cameras and more importantly the threshold for leniency (eg., 10% ADR speedo accuracy variance) should be adjusted.

Damn that sucks. Not much can be done about them except thinking about how much their lives must blow that they need to get entertainment from damaging other people's cars. I think the moral is to own/use a garage before you buy a nice car. Those cars are hardly ever parked outside at night. ROFL Bastards. Should've grabbed the pistols and squirted it in their face.

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately the only other car available to me is a Mazda2 which likely doesn't have enough power to make it up the mountain when icy with 2 passengers and ski gear even with snow chains fitted. I've heard snow tyres apparently don't work as well as chains. They would be more of a hassle to get on anyway. Anyway, will ring around the mountain and see if anyone's leasing snow chains specifically for wide, low-profile rubber with decent rims. My suspension is stock, so hopefully clearance won't be an issue. Cross my fingers that 300 awkw in a heavily laden vehicle will be enough and the chains will stay where they belong next to the subwoofer in the boot What kind of tape? Just normal duct tape? Hmmm... might have to look into this as the easiest option. LOL. BP98 ok?

Hi guys Planning a ski trip to Mt Baw Baw Taking the R34 GTR with its AWD for the 1st time. Apparently even though I've never used them, it's mandatory to carry snow chains, otherwise they won't let you in the resort. The snow chain hire places should have sizes for stock rims yeah? Does the resort staff actually check every car to see if you have them? On the few trips to Mt Buller they never did. I don't mind hiring the chains, I am just hesitant to put the chains on and scratch the hell out of my rims. Has anyone had any significant damage from chains? I was wondering if places sold/hired chains with the plastic sleeving over the rim part to minimise damage. That would be an easy solution without going buying the ultra-expensive plastic snow chains you can find online. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Ummm... so someone traded the R34 in for a Hyundai?

Thanks for clearing that up Snowy. Clarkson isn't a terrible driver - so Aaron's 8 and 1/2 in a similarly powered, albeit slightly lighter and better handling car is pretty good versus 10 mins in an S-Type. Aaron, wouldn't hiring a GT3 from the same company for the day be way cheaper than shipping your R34 across? You wouldn't be able to get insurance for the R, right, so I guess you wouldn't want to go 100% in it, which kind of defeats the purpose.

2.1 mil is a bargain. I remember some young Saudi Prince bought the Number 1 plate in UAE I think for US$15mil. And he's putting it on his bedroom wall instead of one of the many supercars he owns.
-
Nice one Aaron. Congrats on mid-8 times with a Scirocco. Is it stock apart from suspension/roll cage? Sorry, youtube's currently blocked for me. Is this the same length of track that is regularly used for lap records? eg., 7.59 for R33 GTR with the legend Walter Rohrl, 7.26 for R35? If so, then your driving ability in a much slower VW is insane!
-
Sounds good. I would have to say though, I reckon the R34 GTR is the best looking road vehicle to ever come out of Nissan's factories, the R35 included I remember the first time I saw one roar past on the road when I was in high school and I was like - goddamn! Almost creamed my pants. Don't get me started on the Z-tune... pure perfection. The attractiveness of the GTR transcends all age/gender/racial/religious boundaries. I am sure if you gave a GTR poster to a Hutu tribesman he would pin it up on the wall of his mud hut.

Just wondering, talking on your phone using speakerphone (not hands-free kit) is legal right? Does it just come down to having both of your hands free?

Whoa, where did you see this? I've seen the ACT Number 1 (also on a Merc) but not the Vic one. Damn, plates are worth more than the car.
