  1. Hey guys, searched for this but no cigar I always thought that it doesn't make a difference, but I heard some people say that you're meant to refill before the needle goes down to the last 1/3 or 1/4 or so (something to do with direct fuel injection/clogging up your fuel filter???). I tend to refill when the light goes on. The fuel gets sucked from the bottom of the tank anyway, doesn't it? If you refill at 1/3 full every time, won't that mean you will just have more and more % stale petrol in your tank for longer? eg. 1st tank: 1/3 batch A, 2/3 batch B 2nd tank: 1/9 batch A, 2/9 batch B, 6/9 batch C 3rd tank: 1/27 batch A, 2/27 batch B, 6/27 batch C, 18/27 batch D etc, etc you get the idea Granted stale petrol will never reach more than 1/3 of the tank, but with each filling, a smaller fraction of that petrol you put in last year still remains...
  2. Oops, yeah it was Bourke. Geez, didn't know the underworld was so.... well, exposed. Thought they would be driving around in nondescript Mercs with tinted windows and armour plating.

  4. Hahahaha When I first saw it I thought [bG4MRC] meant he was begging for a Merc lol....
  5. On Collins St near Spring St intersection tonight at 730 - Red Ferrari 430 parked behind a blue 612 Scaglietti (I think) with plates [480]. There were outside Nando's but kinda doubt that's where they ended up having dinner Holy shizz... 4 mil worth of plates could buy me a 500 new Nissan Micras. I could start arguably the largest single-model Victorian car club right there
  6. Not sure if this is a sure-fire thing, but I heard for GTRs because of the AWD system all 4 rims/tyres have to be exactly identical eg., can't be wider at the back like most RWD skylines with aftermarket rims.

    All Japan Day.

Lol I love this from their website: "You are eligible if.... etc, etc, # something that makes it SPECIAL - even a dead stock 1982 Corona is special if it only has 10,000km on it and still has the plastic over the door trims!" It's a good cause. Good cars. I would go if it weren't 800 friggin k's away.
  12. Yeah... nice one Ryan. Same thing happened to me when I came back from hols... you should get a trickle charger when you're away. They're only like $60
  13. Haha... not up to the brakes yet. Still saving for the suspension/wheel mods... What brakes are you thinking of getting?
  14. Haha I was googling Lenso rims cuz I have no idea what they look like and look what came up lol
  15. HAHAHAHA. Are you sure he was a customer?

  17. Seriously, being a Nur, the engine and turbo's are N1, so you're already ahead. If you're looking for "fun for street and half-decent for odd track day without being a huge defect magnet" I would go - Apexi Power FC - EBC (either optional PFC EBC or get standalone EBC eg., HKS EVC5/6) - Apexi Pod Filters - Catback exhaust - (HKS) Split/dump pipes - (HKS) Cam gears This should be good for around 300 rwkw and cost around $4-5k installed and tuned. If you want to spend more time at the track racing rather than cooling off your engine you should invest in - (HKS) oil cooler - Sump baffle (helps prevent starvation) - maybe bigger injectors + fuel pump/regulator - maybe Nismo AFMs, though not sure if these are already on Nur? Another 4k Once you have these, go for... - Adjustable coilovers (I'd get Tein EDFC as well, but that's just me... I am lazy re adjusting) - TE37s/LMGT4s + decent street/track tires - Better brake pads Probably 7-8k Anything left over, go for - Rotors/6 pots Another 6k You can probably get away without being a defect magnet up until this point (about $23k or so). When you start going into aero parts/carbon fibre, aftermarket FMIC/piping, upgraded turbos/engine etc etc etc then you enter the world of severe diminishing returns and severe ass-raping by the cops/EPA. This is what I am doing with my 34 GTR (2/3 down the list) and I really enjoy how each and every mod changes the character of the car a bit. I love the feeling of feeding and upgrading your car so that it grows with you... kinda like a pet I'm not experienced at all with modding, so other people may have better ideas.
  18. Should've got a Z-Tune then. Money's obviously not a huge issue for you There's one in Melb with red plates [ZTUNED]. I think the owner would be happy to part with it if offered enough cash...
  19. Lol +1
  20. Classic. I love that movie.

So at the EPA station they would check for butterfly valves specifically? If so, varex should make a full cat back with the RC butterfly valve somewhere much more upstream, so it's not detectable if you look at it from the back.

Really? Damn... The youtube video was quite convincing. From 98db to a comfortably legal 88db is pretty awesome. How do they defect it?
  23. Hahaha
  24. How do you know the O2 reg is off??
  25. +1 for industrials. Problem solved. (Not that I know where these would be).
