Are you sure? Maybe my speedometer is reading low, cuz I was being left behind. Well, I don't mind that. Kind of a safety net.

Dude where's your proud SAUVIC sticker? You can fit chasers and SAUVIC on the quarter window. Wasn't complaining about your driving. Just be careful though - there are stationary unmarked cars on Whitehall St with speed cameras there very often, which is why I was going slow. Didn't see one today which was good.

Never been in the motorsport section let alone knew it existed! Another section I need to readily read. I just saw it on the age website so I thought it was new. Apart from getting into it when the season starts or when I am reminded, usually I don't read much about it, my apologies.

The video erroneously says 2008. I believe these changes are for 2009, according to the offical F1 website: http://www.formula1.com/inside_f1/rules_an...gulations/8692/ I think the cars look nicer, but thats IMHO. The driver-adjustable flaps are also good.

Cars look fantastic. Changes to make overtaking more dynamic http://media.theage.com.au/?rid=46636 Slicks back! Pseudo-nitro/overboost button! (Yes I know that F1 cars run neither turbos nor NOS - it was just an expression)

1900 today followed a white R34 GT-T on Whitehall St, starting at Footscray. Guy was giving it some stick. Had a chasers sticker but not a SAU one.

Wow nice pics. Looked like fun. What's the white car with the wide bodykit and plates WXT***?

"Maluac Kur, 19, of no fixed address and Ahmed Mohamed, 21, of Brooklyn" Wow, when did Victoria have a suburb named Brooklyn? Never heard of it until now - sounds like a rough place. And you know when people are described as having no fixed address that it's trouble. These guys can't get centrelink payments as they have no place of residence, so the money has to come from somewhere

Yes You didn't notice the 350z cuz there wasn't one there Don't worry, I know what you meant They were the best looking ones. The other ones were real skanks. Dunno why Melbourne can't muster up decent booth babes like Tokyo Auto Salon. I walked past more hot girls going back to the carpark than I did in the entire show.

I parked my old car in front of my house all the time... and then one day I woke up to see the number plates stolen. Not happy - about 3 hours late for work that day. It's a quiet neighbourhood with decent people, so it must've been some lowlife cruising the streets in a hot car to pick up some plates to exchange. The plates were just normal plates, but it was a pain in the ass to get new ones.

Hi guys, on my R34 GTR I get 280kms per 50L on BP98. I read the O2 sensor thread and the bad fuel economy thread already, but couldn't find the answers I was looking for. I drive the car pretty conservatively, so this is quite confusing. Mods include: GT2860-5s, PWR 700cc injectors, powerFC+boost controller, pod filters, cam gears, dump/split pipe, hipower catback, etc. The turbo and bigger injectors only went in a month ago. The fuel economy (or lack of) existed before the bigger injectors went in though, so it's not them. I also keep the engine well lubed with 300V filled to the line. The cars only done about 55000 kms. Is there any easy way of finding out whether the O2 sensor is the culprit? Surely the tuner would have picked it up while tuning AFRs for the new turbo/injectors. Also, does the 34 GTR have 2 O2 sensors? Would these be on the dump pipes? Would this be affected if the dump pipes are obviously aftermarket now? Dunno if it's related but the boost readout on the stock MFD occasionally shows 0 boost no matter how I drive, despite no change in the boost readout on the PFC hand controller. Guess it's a boost sensor thing. Thanks very much.

Oh yeah... I wrote it in the MIMS thread. The M1 was the best looking car there. GTR of course. The LF-A is also good. The autosalon Yaris had a nice bodykit and awesome wheels.

The big advantage is that they are virtually in the middle of the City, 2 mins drive from the CBD. That was the main reason I got my GTR tuned there with bigger turbos, injectors etc. They also have an AWD dyno, and a decent tuner (Paul) of Motec fame. Their prices are also very reasonable. I am quite happy with my tune. Keep in mind though that they tune everything, so not exactly a Skyline specialist. A lot of skyline parts need to be ordered as they can't possible keep everything for all the cars they tune in stock, so you will spend time waiting around for the parts to arrive. eg., took 3 months to get the parts I need... still waiting on some. And as with most workshops - overestimate how much time they will take to tune your car. At least double the amount of time they tell you. Basically, comparing Chasers and Racepace... think of it like you're a Japanese Samurai who needs a sword. You can go to downtown Kyoto to King of Swords or whatever its called, and get a serviceable katana. But they also sell butcher's cleavers and cooking knives. If you have the ryo to spend and the time to walk, take a trip into the mountains to the sword guru. He does not want to be widely known, he doesn't have flyers in the middle of town, and he lives in a very remote and dangerous place. His location and knowledge of the magic of the swords he forges - legends, national treasures even, are only passed through the hushed whispers of the faithful. He uses mystical techniques that no-one else knows, and all the swords he makes are the sharpest in the business.

Racepace is generally regarded as the best in Victoria for RBs.... just because that's what they specialise in, especially GTRs. Like Techsport for Evos. When day in day out, all you're dealing with is RBs - you will have more connections, access to parts, and above all experience than anyone else. Just a pity they are in Bayswater though

I'm more than happy to be corrected, but I would think a fair portion of the young blokes joining the police force do so because they can legally speed in SS cop cars chasing down speeders... of course an objective secondary to serving the public. I know if I ever joined the force that'd be a job perk.
-
They'll probably be like "Hmmm your skills at racing are impressive, most impressive. You will be transferred to Highway Patrol immediately"

Probably not for a skyline, but my mate took me in his Evo on this windy gravel road that was about 20-30kms - the best public rallying road I have ever been on. Not a single car for the whole stretch. Awesome fun. Forgot the name of it, but it is the unsealed road you take from the Otway Fly to the Great Ocean Rd. Actually I think there are a few roads in that region quite similar. Almost made me want an Evo.... almost

Saw 4 Lambos, 5 Bentleys, 6 Porsches, the Evo X cop car, a 370z and an R35 GTR at the MIMS No Ferraris, Zondas or the Joss like before though Guess everyone is tightening their belts. Didn't even see MB or Volvo there.
