  1. Yes utorrent is good. Isn't that expensive? Just download torrents. I agree
  2. Spotted black R33 GTS-T on Victoria Pde around lunchtime, with red custom plates... couldn't get a good look at them but think it started with S and was 6 digits.
  3. Nah, it's not mine. Here is a thread I posted about it (it's actually a R34 GTT I learned) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...Wi-t244215.html On my car the number plate holder is not wide enough to accomodate the whole 6-digit plate, so the sides are bent. Can't be assed taking photo at the moment.
  4. OIC. Good idea.

Geez what kind of muffler do you have?? Must be one especially designed to have the gases resonate the crap out of it. Change to stock exhaust.
  6. Wow... that's the RPMGTR on racepace's website right? Absolutely awesome. Ben must be sad to see it go.
  7. Nando's for me. Oporto's is pretty forgettable. Never had Grill'd. Usually when I go to them I have the vouchers from the Entertainment book I bought, so it works out cheaper than making your own burgers Lol.. obviously you aren't deterred by the "No Peri-Peri is kept on these premises after hours" sign.
  8. I was thinking the exact thing. Every day I sit down to dinner and TV... and I am forever channel surfing from crap to more crap. Even the ABC and SBS have been dropping the ball. The only thing I watch these days is Top Gear, Iron Chef, and the new simpsons. The proposed extra channel for each network, taking us to a total of 15 channels, due to start next month is only a good idea if they choose to populate it with interesting stuff. They can't even do it with 1 channel/network at the moment, let alone three. It's sad but true that a country with 20mil people just doesn't have enough infrastructure and funding to compete with entertaining shows from overseas. That doesn't mean that we need to import US stuff. I would love there to be an Asian channel, where asian movies especially Kung Fu movies, wacky Jap gameshows and best-motoring style car racing can be shown. Seriously if you have been to asian countries, their huge range of free-to-air TV is so much more interesting to me, even though I can't understand it.
  9. Yikes.. you used to change 5-6L Redline or 300V every time you go to the track? You could just rebottle it and donate it to SAU. Would still be better quality than the new bottled stuff some people who-are-less-willing-to-spend on-oil have to buy to keep their cars running.
  10. D'oh! Man, I need to go back to car-school.. as well as Engrish school it seams Well he is one lucky bastard. Wish I had mates with cool cars like that.
  11. Hmm... some of my mates had probs dropping out, but as someone said, has to do with your location. TPG have been the cheapest main ISP for about 5 years now.
  12. She'll be right mate, just keep turning in one direction for the next two weeks until they get it
  13. Wow... you're one lucky bastard . Pure car porn. Sorry for mis-identifying your ride on so many counts lol. Does your mate drive the Testa in the photo? Geez... LV shoes. Had to have done something pretty bad.
  14. Nice plates. Problem is with R34s (at least with GTRs, not sure about others), I think most owners like 5-digit or less plates, as the full 6-digit plates get crimped by the too-narrow plate-holder. That's what's wrong with mine, and it looks like ass
  15. Whoa I just read that. I can understand the asian doctor thing, but she must be the only FEMALE asian doctor to own an M3. Being burnt off the lights by your own mum must suck The new M3 sedan is HOT! Would be an awesome family car. Damn, wish I had Jay Leno's garage for all the cars I want
  16. I also considered the Prado... but it just wasn't designed for offroading like the others. Pajero is good, Mitsu have been using them for the Dakar rallys in the past, but they are a bit small. SS wagons are the bargains of the decade and look dead sexy. I would buy one today if I didn't need to go offroading. There is almost a half-year waiting list last time I checked. For a Holden wagon! $48k for a new 270kw super-wagon almost able to keep up with the $300k Audi RS6, BMW M5 touring, Merc E63 AMG Estate is mind-blowing. There is something about a huge V8 (which can be easily super/turbocharged to around 500kw for 10-15k) with enough room for 5 adults and all their camping gear that just makes sense. Wagons also seem to fly under the cop radar no matter how insane they are ie., Stags.
  17. Kinda over the secondhand thing as most of LC100s and GUs have had their share of abuse in the bush, and might be days away from cracking their diffs. I want something still under warranty, and which looks like it was made this millenium. 4.8L petrol in 2.5 ton 4WD = $$$$ for petrol. H3 engine makes same power but is only 3.7L. Also for 60k H3 adventure has rear locking diffs standard (essential for tackling the bush), whereas neither the Patrol nor Cruiser offer them even as options at any price. Range Rovers look nice and are the ultimate Toorak Tractors, but they break down very quickly. They are the LEAST reliable marque out of all car makers in the world. 90k down the drain.
  18. Lol way to inspire confidence
  19. Wow that is pretty impressive from SS's. You mean the stock bottom end carked it twice at around 350rwkw? That's scary. Many of us are pushing approx that figure on stock engines. I was wondering whether to up the boost to something like that with my -5s, but have been hesitant due to stories like this. I will be happy with around a safer 330rwkw/300awkw setup then.
  20. Nice photos. Which car walked away with the highest figures?
  21. LOL The H1 was designed for the army, but by the time the H3 came around I'm pretty sure they aimed it squarely at the fat american consumer. I take your point about being unreliable, but there is no alternative for me in the 60k range. The only two other ones as big are the Cruiser (too expensive) and Patrol (too weak).

    LOL
  23. Lol... no it's just that I need a huge-ass 4WD for the upcoming family and the pets. If I had the money I would get a Landcruiser but seriously 80-90k for the mid-range model is just insane. A Hummer H3 with the same specs basically is about 60k. Nissan Patrol is good for around the same money as well but the turbo diesel engine is an anaemic 118kw for a 2.6 tonne hulk of sheet metal - they gotta be kidding. That shit has worse power-to-weight than a cold war Lada.
  24. Canary yellow Lotus Esprit V8 parked on Russel St around 1330 today. Black plates were [XQUSIT] or something similar. The paint job was perfect and literally glimmering. Almost every 2nd guy who walked passed was checking it out or taking photos of it. Nice to see a sexy, English non-Aston car getting that attention. Owner obviously spends a lot of care and attention.
  25. Catch of the day 1300: Black R34 GT-T with black custom plates.. can't remember what... started with V. On Victoria Pde at around 1300. 1315: Black R33 Victoria Pde 1330: Black R32 with black rims on Russel St. Two hobos checking out my R34 GTR as I returned to it to leave for work. They thought it was fake lol. It's not that easy to fake a stock-looking R34 GTR.
