  1. Yeah use the plugs stated above and its much cheaper to will cost you under 20bux a set, if your not having missfiring probelms the coilpacks are not the issue.
  2. Ill give you one peice of advice that you should follow if your trying hard to not lose any points, dont go to places such as princess hwy on a friday night when you know it is packed with police looking to get as many people as they can in my opinion going there and expecting to leave with nothing even if you dont do anything is stupid. Fair or not fair you cant do shit thats how it is these days so easy solution stay away.
  3. hrmm from the pics look the same could be different when you see it in person. As far as I was aware the only difference with the r33 rear bars was if you have the model with sideskirts they have additional rear pods on the rear bar but I thought the actual rear bar was the same.
  4. Actually I checked the manual and it doesnt mention what postion the pistons should be at.
  5. I think the manual says at TDC but cant remember exactly. But yeah if it is at tdc provided the cam is in the exact correct position and tightened it shouldnt bend the valves I wouldnt think.
  6. LOL wtf 100bux each thats a joke. Ill just take the ones out now and clean them hopefully the lifter themselves arent f**ked. So what do people use when rebuilding since nissan are so expensive?
  7. Yeah Im in that minority never got a lesson from a instructor learnt from my dad in hes manual nissan navara, learning in a big car makes little cars so easy to drive.
  8. I got a can for free once and tried it, it looks alright when doing a small section but if your doing the whole car it gets annoying.
  9. That metal cast job looks unreal ive seen it before but its only for metal surfaces isnt it?
  10. Getting sick of my polished cam covers as they always get dirty and need some elbow grease to make them shiny so wanting to go something like the rb26 have with the candy red colour. Now just wondering what paint to use, will a 2pack paint hold up to the heat? I know them engine enamel will but those colours are always kind of dull and plain and dont have that shiny look you get with 2 pack paints.
  11. Is there anything else to do once you voted, or do you just have to wait now until t he voting for the next part starts.
  12. Well if hes still on hes Ls why dont you just go and learn to drive manual now and just get a manual license stright up, firstly will make you a better driver, secondly if you have the urge to drive manual on Ps youll be doing it legally.
  13. Anybody know the price that nissan charge for a set of lifters? or know of any aftermarket ones you can use instead and where to get them from havnt had much luck of finding anything.
  14. Love it so custom its great, will be great to see results and videos of this thing.
  15. Lol I still go with the auto manual shit being worse, its pretty easy to crash in a manual if you have no idea what your doing seeing as when your learning you have to think about clutching shifting and all that as appose to when your good at it, its more reflex you dont think so you can concentrate on the road. Think about some auto commordore driving p plater thats already enough probelms with auto trying to do burnouts and go sideways now all of a sudden he gets full license and still thinks hes top hoon and will crash.
  16. Something to do to pass time from boredom lol
  17. Its true roadworthies are out there to make money aswell but I agree on major things that impact the car needed to be fixed like suspension issues major leaks tyres etc, I myself want my car always to be perfect so I dont mind fixing all the probelms. But little things that they pick people up on like say if your air con or heater doesnt work , small leaks and things like that are wrong, but yeah in the end if you get a roady at mechanics than go to another one 5 min later hell prob pick up different things from the previous one.
  18. Thats the stupidest freaking law I have ever seen out of all the bullshit laws they make up with the excuse of saving drivers they go and let everyone drive a manual car once your off Ps, what do they expect just cause your full licensed you somehow magically can drive manual if you never drove one in your life.
  19. Well in VIC the rule is I think if you do have one and the tyre is not roadworthy its defectable but if you done have one on you then its fine, so guess using the old excuse its geting a new tyre fitted onto it or something like that.
  20. Or once you pass the roady hide the boost controller under somewhere where it cant be seen when I used a boost tee no one ever found mine.
  21. It would also fall under the basic rule of no modifications allowed for p platers now swapping a engine is a pretty big modification lol.
  22. Get a little mirror and put it in the door so you can sort of see what your doing. Its a lot of fidgeting around until basically you have stuck the motor under that plate. I used a screw driver with one hand to try and wedge the plate open so I could slide the motor in and eventually when it was in enough I put the screws back and that was that.
  23. Yeah I got a set of 16s for my drag tyres but these are more for wen i go gripping around the track and want something with decent grip for everyday. Yeah I was leaning towards just 245's all round.
  24. Im looking to get ku36 tyres on my r33 and my rims are 18*8 now im wondering are the 265/35/18 to wide for 8inch rim and should I just go with 245 all round or can I scrap through with the 265 on the back?
  25. They drive up and down and then every now and then some 6 banger p platers in commordores try to do a drag and get done lol
