thanks guys that is what i was thinking it would be nice to keep the standard door remote but i need to get an immobiliser fitted anyway (justcar terms for cover in the event of theft) any ideas of what i should be looking at? i know viper are good but aren't an aus standards black wire alarm can anyone recommend somewhere that does good installs in the gold coast area? hey guys i've got an rs4s (series 2) and i've only got one key which has the remote built in for the central locking i wanna get another central locking key, is this possible? or will nissan charge me a stupid amount for a new one? Thank Tom

series 2 factory manual might take the i/c off and give it a clean, prob has a bit of gunk in it after 10 years and to finish it off you guys reckon a bell mouth style dump is the go too? cos i though the split style were supposed to be better :S

does this seem ok for a pretty stock rs4s? just has a pod and dump back exhaust (stock dump) runs 8-10 psi on the boost gauge (aftermarket one) what would be the first step on my way to ~200awkw?

well i finally picked up my rs4s and i'm really happy just a quick question about what fuel to run it on, i know 99% of imports like to run on 98 but under the bonnet i found this sticker (pic attached) at the bottom it basically says 91-93 ron fuel is that right? or is jap 91 ron different to aus 91 ron? i intend to run premium but i will be going to tas for uni for 8 months and its hard to find 98 unless you are in a decent sized town if someone can clear it up it would be awesome Thanks, Tom

well i have bought it and am one very happy person right now its not too slow either, i may have just kept up with a brand new mazda 3 mps and those things are quick

oh, and also, all the shocks had impul written on them is that a good thing? the ride was firm and sporty but not uncomfortable

the few things that were wrong we were only nitpicking to get the price down, stuff like blown out rear speaker, needs a cut and polish, couple of scrapes around the front of the body kit and a dent and a small hole in the cannon and having no front floor mats we probably spent a good hour going over every detail of the car and my mate slid himself under it to inspect things like bushes and it was all pretty good, no major signs of rust except for the areas under the wing mirrors, just found faults to knock the price down. fingers crossed he comes down to price i offered him and i pick it up in the next few days

well i went and had a look at it today (just got back then) couldn't make it in time to see it by daylight but took some torches and managed to spot a few faults, will look at it again before purchase the car still have the xenon's (i think, they were much more blue than the high beams and were very bright, and the height adjustment worked too there is a full service history with the car (while its been in aus) and has been run on penrite sin5 (5w30 i think) or some thing similar, is this thickness fine? only issue is that there is only one key with the car. what i need to know is, are s2 stageas immobilised? and where can i get a second door remote for the central locking? (or is it better to go full after market alarm system?) thanks guys Tom

sweet thanks to everyone, get back and get to have a look at it on monday so i cant wait gonna take my mate along who knows too much about skylines, and i know a fair bit myself (but not as much as i would like) i will print out the checklist too and go through that and i may take it to an ultratune for an inspection if i can just cant wait to get my hand on it

hey guys, looks like im getting a stag as i just put down a deposit on an RS4S is $13k a good price for one of these? Im thining it is as there are other selling for around $16k and they are series 2 autos I haven't looked at the car yet cos i'm out of state but when i do what are the main things to look out for particularly on a factory manual one? (i've read the buyers guide and know about the rust under the mirrors) Specs of the car: 1999, 80,000kms, factory manual, yellow, dayz body kit (i think, its the one with carbon bits on it), boost guage and turbo back exhaust and pod filter are the only mods Thanks Tom
