  1. saw a silver s1 near southport golf course i was in my yellow s2
  2. hey guys, been on holiday and am back now let me know if you have some as it would be mightily handy
  3. i know that if you put a 32 shifter into a 31 it shortens the throw cutting off some and rethreading it is a bad solution as it doesn't change the pivot points, only the height of the knob. a propper short shifter keeps the same height but the distane traveled is shortened
  4. my rs4s came with one in it and the prev owner said nothing about haveing a short shifter i'd be looking at ones for 33gtr's cos thats the gearbox thatsa in it apparently (not sure what the 260rs's run tho) maybe just get a stock one out of a gtr and see if its got a shorter throw than a stock stag one
  5. how much have ppl been paying for s2 rotors? mine are a bit warped and i was thinking of just replacing them
  6. dude it will be your o2 sensor had the same thing with my outback, exactly the same driving feel and i was younger and poorer and i sold it instead, just try unplugging it and running without it to confirm. its the spark plug looking think that goes into the exhaust just behind the turbo, trace the wires back to find the connector
  7. just so ppl know, qfm now do a pad for s2's so you can get their a1rm pads
  8. looks like im gonna be trying this out on the gf's 31 soon, its been going for a while and finally started leaving big pools in the footwell i've had a look and it looks pretty similar to what you described, will report back with the findings
  9. where from? cos i need some of that exact size
  10. i was thinking of doing this when i had my 32 ended up just swapping it out for a good unit and had a look at the old one, lot of things that could go wrong so i dont know if it would be a good idea unless your good at putting things back together and have a really good set of allan keys btw the guy that rebuilt his own used to be a brake specualits mechanic (i think)
  11. can everyone keep an eye out for my yellow s2 rs4s with dayz kit (and carbon bottom middle bit) on the gold coast letting the gf drive it while im away cos her car is dieing slowly let me knwo if you see her and what her driving is like thanks Tom
  12. lol just spoke to the gf and the 31 is dieing slowly, heater core is leaking into the footwell and the rear wheel bearings are almost dead too soooooooooooo....... i said she can drive the stag while im in South Africa (only till monday tho, few 31's getting around here which is cool) its ok, she knows how to drive a lowish car and the previous owner had kurbed each wheel too
  13. stagea? i picked up my rs4s for under that and its factory manual (r33 gtr gearbox and diffs) with the rb25 neo (r34 motor) just keep an eye out for bargins and look at cars in the price range above yours (i.e. 20k) its amazing how much ppl will drop the price if they have to sell
  14. r32 brakes are 280mm r33 brakes are 296 or 297mm early r32 gtr brakes are 296mm but 32mm thick late r32 gtr and r33/r34 gtr are 310 or 320mm
  15. sorry to be technical but i'm 99% sure r32 gtr brakes have 32mm thick rotors whereas r33 gts-25t rotors are only 30mm but they are interchangeable i believe
  16. i'd say that brembos would be ideal but they can sell for a rather large sum of money if thats outside your budget then i'd say r33 gtst or r34 gt-t (caliper mounts have to be redrilled to 14mm from 12) and a set of ar1m pads (the sports/track pads from qfm) would be good qfm also do their sports/track pad in the stock stag shape now too also make sure to use a good brake fluid, dot 4 is fine tho and the cons with dot 5 aren't worth the hastle
  17. i've let a couple of my mates drive my 31 but i thrash that worse than they ever could and its the gf's car now so i dont really care too much about it i let me gf drive my 32 a couple of times, i was in the car for most of them and she needed it to get to work once. i was more worried about where it was parked than her driving it she hasn't driven the stag yet tho even though the insurance agreed to cover her too (for no extra fee cos i told them it was my car and she would rarely drive it) both my parents want a go in the stag too but they will have to wait till i get back (currently in south africa and they let me put it in the garage so i kinda owe them for that) i dont think may ppl will get a go in the stag, not untill the novalty wears off but thats gonna take a long time
  18. more info on that please but will have to find something to do lock/unlock
  19. My car [RS4S] and the Mrs's [R31 Silhouette] (was mine but now hers) more pics to come
  20. my o2 sensor died in my outback (would rattle if you took it out and gave it a shake) and it ran like a piece of poo it would buck and surge on flat ground but not all the time also felt really flat to drive unless you were going flat out (o2 is ignored at WOT and above a certain amount of revs) ended up selling the car cos i though it was about to die on me wish i had known is was such a simple fix kudos motorsport sell them online for about $200 for a stag, its the same one as an r34 so it may pay to go to bursons, just tell them that the usual price is about $120 and you should get them for that btw, s2 ftw
  21. hey mate do you have some floor mats? more so the front ones cos i already have rears, thanks
  22. yeah i know a lot of ppl are running nissutne but the guy who makes biki is near where i am and a guy i know from a different forum swears my them, he has got an er34 ecu running a vg30 in a pulsar and he is always talking about how good they are
