cool, thanks guys sorry for my lack of input on the subject but i was on holidays for a few days just to check, is it deffinately an r33 rad that i need? or will a 34 rad fit? i'm leaning towards the 40mm rad cos i know there will be no issues with fitment and i dont wanna have to put a thermo fan on it
-
so my top tank is leaking so i pulled it out and dropped it into a radiator place for them to have a look at it the core was really thin so i'm looking at the justjap rads they have they have a triple core 40mm one: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=300&page=1 and a twin core 60mm one: http://justjap.com/store/product.php?produ...=300&page=1 which would cool better? they both say that they retain the factory shroud but is triple core better than twin or is thicker better than thinner? just incase your wondering, its an rs4s = manuel

pipster11 replied to funkybits's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers

About To Purchase C34 But Paranoid About Rust
pipster11 replied to funkybits's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
take it to an ultratune b4 you buy the car and get them to do a full inspection, only costs about $100 but then they will give you a big list of whats wrong with the car -
i had jjr coilpacks in my 32 but it came with them so i dont know any difference from the stock ones i've heard good things about the yellow jacket ones so i'd go with those as a cheap alternative

F/s Stagea Sway Bar, Brakes + More
pipster11 replied to JDM_Spirit's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey, you wouldn't have any s2 front rotors by any chance? -
hey, if anyone has some cheap ~290mm series 2 front rotors kicking about can i have them? will pay money but prefer cheap to free my mate has a lathe and 3axis milling machine and my front rotors are warped so we're gonna give machining them a go but want a backup just incase let me know if you've got anything suitable thanks
-
thats quite a long time for rotors, i reckon my c34 is still running stock rotors and they are coming to the end of their life at 80k i would be thinking about changing them quite soon
-
that would be sick, i'd love to do a metal one but my metal skills aren't that good only think i've noticed thats different to a skyline is that the rad overflow is on that side and the filler hole is quite low = easy to be covered and then hard to be refilled
-
seeing as there =plastic blanking plate can only deflect a max of a few mm i dont think its gonna break and normality will be restored once my mate gets back from holidays and we'll make some proper air boxes
-
whats with ppl from wa? i'm just having a laugh while messing around with a cheap bucket, i've seen good airbox setups and i make one when i get paid and my mate gets back from holidays (we'll make one for my stag and his 33) i also got distracted while taking the coil cover (to lower coil temps) off this arvo and decided to do this to entertain a mate who joked about taking my bov of (same result, no air leaks) lighten up
-
one of my lifetime goals is to be on scrapheap challenge yet to go for a drive, will report back with results
-
well for australia day i thought it would only be fitting if my turbo car was complete with flutterzzZZzzzzz i will add this here cos i used part of my bucket waste, so this is multiple mods with one cheap bucket basically you need to take off the stock bov which is 2 12mm bolts, 1 hose clamp (return line) and 1 hose clip (manifold signal) then you use the gasket as an outline for a solid sheet of bucket, i.e. not leaving a hole in the centre of it re install with the extra plasic gasket in place and your away fluttering like there is no tmrw like so: note: i take no responsibility for your actions and this is only for a short term period of shits and giggles

negative, same set up as a 33
-
new oxygen sensor - ask for one for an n14 sss pulsar (sr20) has the same plug as a 33 too so no cutting get an ecutalk display too - i got one for my stag, plugs into the consult port and once you input the injector size it will do instant fuel consumption, read off every sensor the ecu has and do lost of things www.ecutalk.com
-
well i have no less power than b4 and i still get good fuel consumption (ecutalk display) so its not got a negative effect

What Have You Managed To Fit In Your Stag?
pipster11 replied to pixel8r's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
i drove from tas to the gold coast with no rear visability, my junk + gf's junk = a lot of stuff to fit into a 31 -
saw a couple of stags passing me on the nissan cruise yesterday, white s2 with extra fog lights down low and a nice s1 with autech front bar (i think) and 34 gtr wheels

Hot4's Nissan Cruise - 24th Jan
pipster11 replied to pipster11's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
yeah too bad i averaged 11l/100km over the whole drive which went through the glass house mountains -
f**k you guys are funny went on the nissan cruise yesterday, its still in there i think so it hasn't melted away yes its prob not doing anything but hey, its was 94 CENTS, was worth a go and everyone got a laugh out of it of course its not gonna seal up as well as something like a jjr carbon shield or an arc air box but my car came with the pod already on it and i didn't get the stock box with it either eventually i'll track one down or get a more permanent one but it was 37°c today and coolant temps were up to 90 on the fly so i can only imagine what the engine bay temps were like i understand airflow and the concept of high and low pressures (i'm doing naval architecture at uni = hydrodynamics etc) and it probably has a bigger effect than you would think and it certainly can't have a negative effect as its surrounding 90% of the pod around the sides, it still made good power and i was keeping up with a 32 gtr and an s14 through the twistys so in summery, yes its light hearted, no im not that serious about it but it seemed to work ok
-
pm me, i know a bit but not everything if its going shit and running a bit rough on boost you can be guaranteed that its coil packs sliptfires are nice but el cheapo yellow jackets will do the job, or jjr coils too
-
So i finally took steps towards shielding my pod today headed to bunnings in search of perspex i was appalled when they wanted $45 for a smallish sheet so i bailed buttttttttt............ on the way out i noticed they had plastic buckets for the princely sum for $0.94 so i thought to myself "what the hell...lets see what happens" One bucket Cut down one side of the bucket like so See, all the way down Looking good...but needs trimming Trimmed slightly Hole for the pod filter Trimmed more Trimmed bits I think we're done Yeah, thats gotta be better than a poke in the eye with a stick I know its not high tech but its better than having a pod soaking up all the heat from the turbo and it cost less than a dollar let me know what you think
