  1. its been running 10psi for ages and i've only run 7 once for about 2 mins so i haven't really tried it all that much i've got a spare switch hanging around so i might wire it up to have a selectable ground i should really pull my finger out and the the jaycar iebc installed but i really cbf
  2. this my car feels just as quick on 7psi than on 10, should prob put it back and see what the economy gets like living in tasmania definitely throws the economy out the window, barely a straight road about not that i'm complaining
  3. that would be mine, but could have been my gf driving about
  4. hey mate i'm in lonnie and have an rs4s too there is a guy that works at the new autobarn who has a silver rs4s too so if you need to order parts i would consider using him as for suspension you could try and source some new front shocks and get a suspension place to install them (same as r33 gtr up front, back is similar but differently valved) or look on ebay at the bc (buddyclub) coilovers someone recently installed them in his m35 and said that on the softest setting that they were just a bit firmer than stock if you want to diy the install i could give you a hand (i'm a pro at car park repairs lol, currently changing a mates rear wheel bearing on his bmw in the utas carpark) for recommendations on where to go for the rest i would recommend signing up to boostcruising and ask in the tasmanian section there for who to go to or ask on the tas section on here but its a bit quiet
  5. it does, just took my stag from qld to tas, averaging between 10.5 and 12 l/100km (hills and shit in the way) we saw 545 with the needle just below the 1/4 mark i think
  6. i thought this was known, its now resting in a bin somewhere
  7. if you wanna use leds you have to get the ones with like 15 leds on one mount otherwise they dont disperse enough light
  8. thats when i use it for, the ecutalk display also refreshes faster than any stock fuel consumption display i've seen so the readings are pretty accurate someone posted up an excel spread sheet and all you do is fill in current inj size, fuel ecutalk thinks you've used and fuel you actaully put in and it tells you what to set your injectors to
  9. yeah i found that too 90 is a good speed and so is 130, its a bit odd the ecu talk software will do economy too but you have to set the injector size - be warned that they never flow their specified amount, my neo injectors are set to 351 but someone elses are set to 340
  10. i've finnaly got to lonnie with my new toy stagea rs4s (manual series 2) will be off for a good drive tmrw
  11. i put in about the same into my neo, guess the 4wd box takes a bit also have to say go the nulon fully synthetic 10w40, seems to be running really well
  12. no i'm just saying that for some reason the engine is at a lower vac (trying harder) at around 100 rather than at 120 but in saying that i noticed that the closer i got to melblourne the better the economy got due to smoother flatter roads
  13. i worked out that mine (s2) are flowing about 351cc (must be a bit clogged) you should have got the display, so awesome seems that 80kmh in 5th is economical but also 120kmh is more economical than 100kmh (larger vac than at 100, more off boost torque/power)
  14. just to let everyone know, there is probably an adaptor from aerpro that will plug into the stock harness i dont know what the part number is but my r32 took the same part as a gq patrol which is about the same age so i would suspect that an adaptor is available to prevent having to cut and solder and also save time
  15. i've bought a manual stagea and packed it full of shit and am currently heading back to launceston leaving sydney today oh, and i'm getting 10.6l/100km
  16. jaycar one uses a solenoid but its set up that it blocks any pressure to the wastegate when closed so you get the fastest possible spool and once you reach your target boost level you open the solenoid up to let some air to the wastegate the jaycar also runs 2 independent maps which means you can have one that boost comes in slowly and one that gets boost on as quick as possible both with the same psi but with different ramp on rates
  17. that sucks cos i'm just coming back to uni at the moment, will be back on friday but wont have a job or money for a while i'll just put them on the wish list
  18. that was me, i was gonna suggest it but i thought it would annoy too many ppl as no one thought it was a joke
  19. oh well, guess i'll just get some new ones from spg
  20. they look awesome mate i know its not what your asked for but would you consider swaps for some 18x8 5x114.3 ~+40 wheels? tyres are prob about 90% let me know thanks
  21. make an enclosure and take it to get cleared pod laws vary state to state, in qld it used to just be that it must be secured and unable to move more than 10cm or something crazy but i think qld police get cops from different states cos i've been told by a cop that my pod was flat out illegal just had a quick google and pretty much every australian forum has a thread like this and most say that in nsw the pod has to be "enclosed" re the venting noises, thats the stock plumb back bov doing its job, go talk to the police station that issued the defect and show them the return line then also remind them that its a family wagon
  22. isn't it open until 4500 then it starts pulsing? open = wastegate spring pressure pulsing = higher boost levels my rs4s runs 7 psi with the solenoid off and 10 with it permanently grounded
  23. make a jaycar boost contoller i've still got to install mine cos im slack
  24. saw a grey series 2 up near harbour town, was on the other side of the roundabout so couldn't beep
  25. no you did not but the freight on it would not be worth it, just wanted a slight improvement for the next month but once i get back to uni some 34 gtt brakes should be on the cards
