  1. its your window close height - it needs to seal up against the rubber my outback was perfect until i knocked the drivers door and messed up the gaps, then i got wind noise from that door
  2. your not the only one, swapped out one actuator on my step dad's commy and removed one from the otherside of the same car (will get a new one monday and finish it) i also bought some high temp silicone for my coilpacks (not missing yet but it cant hurt) and made a pod heat shield for $0.94 - will be making a thread for that one :) oh, and the fuel filter on a 32 is way worse
  3. autech rs260 stagea all the goodness of a 33 gtr in a wagon package there are some cheap ones coming through now too, 25k will get you a nice one and it wont be as flogged out as a 33 gtr
  4. i/c = intercooler its a bit of a pain to get to but here goes: 1. jack up passenger side of car for easier access 2. undo all the clips for the guard liner, they go all the way to the front of the bar including some bolts too 3. pull the liner out 4. take your airbox out 5. undo the hose clamps that are near the intercooler 6. undo all the brackets that hold the i/c in place, undo from both the body and intercooler (there is one on the very inside of the guard too) 7. hit all the rubber hoses up with some wd40 and take a break 8. remove the bolts from one of the pipes from under where the airbox sits (two bolts on either side of the return pipe) 9. now remove the i/c, just needs wiggling to break the seal on the rubber 10. clean it with degreaser - rinse thoroughly 11. blow it out with air 12. leave it sitting in the sun with the cores running vertically so the water runs out into one of the end tanks 13. blow it out again 14. re-install 15. ????????????????????????? 16. Profit IAC/Idle Valve/aac There is a write up on how to do this in the faq thingo, i've got a neo and it looks a bit different, will be doing it later this arvo but i had to drop the gf at work and now everything is too hot
  5. yeah i was just being generous, its on my list, prob before the +12 offset wheels, bc colilovers, caster bushes, 34 gtt brakes and a fair few other things - being a uni student = constant state of poverty
  6. yeah, sorry guys wasa in a hurry this morning but you managed to decipher what i meant i'd take the idle gear off and give it a clean out with carby cleaner if you've never done it, will make on and off power much smoother (i need to do mine, just being slack - will probs do it tmrw) its like the i/c - it will be surprisingly dirty
  7. i did the i/c clean yesterday and it was an absolute bitch to get to run copper plugs and change them every 10,000kms - copper give the best spark of any material when you go to get them ask for the code but make sure it doesn't have -11 at the end (this gives you a plug pre gapped to 0.8mm, good for ageing coilpacks) what about air filter?
  8. meh, $1500 for power fc + tuning or ~$1500 for a tuned biki/nisstune
  9. dont get an older outback, the early 2.5 were apparently notorious for blowing head gaskets thats why i learnt so much about cars, so if something like that goes i can do all the hard work myself
  10. 10-4 good buddy, nisstune or bikirom maybe will be coming, just need more moneys
  11. its all how i have it, just double checked then holding the wires onto the battery terminals should be enough shouldn't it? and no, no activities from the led's or the display
  12. checked those i think, and i remember doing the link under the connector
  13. im at 85-86% on the stock injectors running only about 10psi looks like they are smaller than det injectors maybe, thoughts?
  14. yeah a lot have ppl have said they are coming, my only concern is that its a 300km cruise and it leaves about 100 km from where i live so its gonna be a full day of driving and a full tank of fuel so i'm a little apprehensive cos im not exactly flush with cash atm, its gonna be an awesome day tho
  15. gay, just seen the quality will take some pics with the dslr and repost
  16. so i finally got it all together, tryed to test it out by just holding the +'ve and -'ve straight onto the battery and nothing happens i've taken some pics of the board so if someone could look at it for me it would be awesome thanks, Tom
  17. x2, $3k for timing belt and new head gaskets and machine work =

  19. neo motors use the z442 (i think) which is the smaller filter its the right one for a neo and will fit on anything earlier but sometimes the older larger filter catches on something
  20. if its the same as ac34 then a360 is the ryco one, same as r31,32,33,34
