i wouldn't mind some rally action but i doubt many ppl will come if we head for some gravel keen to get something going b4 the weather turns bad http://www.targa.org.au/Course.html leg 4 looks ok or leg 2 i got some ppl together when i was back home, just gave a few weeks notice and set a date and made sure the majority of ppl could make it just choose a time and date and tell everyone, if it goes up on boostcruising we'll get a few ppl to come but we'd prob have to limit it to something along the lines of rwd or awd (but not 4wd) and nissan or we'll get ppl with poosars and navaras coming along

think they have rectified that was reading the splitfire vs superspark vs jjr thread the other day and they all bolt up fine i think also, i would consider running an ngk plug as that is what the car came from factory with (rule of thumb = jap cars -> jap plugs, euro cars ->euro plugs) and seeing as its a common problem i'd have a look at the coilpacks, dont think you can go wrong really jjr give you a 12 month warranty as do superspark but i dont think splitfire do i have jjr's in my 32 and seemed fine but i've also heard good things about the supersparks

what if we went north and visited the sidling? (think its what its called) the road that goes to scotsdale maybe just grab a map of the last targa? or the one coming up and pick some road from that to suit should be good guessing its gonna be a nissan "sports" car cruise? i.e. navara's or anything fwd?
-
i'll come think i saw you parked outside autobarn yesterday i'm on uni holidays atm too so anytime in the next 2 weeks is good but i can do any weekend also did u wanna go for a drive or just meet up?
-
behind the turbo is a few grommets for the aircon and the ecu or driverside aas everyone else has said got an aftermarket boost gauge? cos that will prob be through the same hole
-
thats what i want to hear i'm looking at some 18x9's at +15 for an rs4s what tyre size you running?
-
mad, or find some 34 brake lines? the banjo's i got with the calipers have been cut down a bit so i'll use those i think
-
mechanically yes, but 34's have 14mm bolt holes and 33's have 12mm bolts holes and the 34 calipers sit slightly further out from the hub due to the larger rotor
-
think you might have said lol need to get my 34 brakes on guy i bought them off was sold them as 34 rotors and callipers but they are in fact 34 rotors and dogbones to suit 33 calipers on 34 rotors on an adm 31 so anyone who can hook me up with some 34 calipers (dont need pads) let me know cos i need them asap ideally i'd like to swap for my 33 ones which i have painted in vht anodised effect red like so chuck me a pm if you can help
-
yeah sorry, should have said not a direct bolt up cant wait to get them sorted tho, current rotors are a bit warped so its just annoying, engine braking makes it better tho - thank got i got one with an extra pedal what is the general consensus with the banjo bolts? pull out the "olive" or chop the banjo down?
-
dunno about pedal feel, but for future reference: the bolts that old the s2 callipers on have a 22mm head and are on pretty tight so make sure you've got a breaker bar or something also, 33 brakes deff dont fit on series 2's got sold a combo of 34 rotors and 33 callipers did't check the bolts when i picked them up - error as for pads, for a slight upgrade i heard the qfm hpx's are awesome - good bite and all that with very little dust or up from that the qfm ar1m but they can chew through rotors (much more aggressive pad) but works really well

Upgrading Stagea Headlights & Fog Lights
pipster11 replied to Sydneykid's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
check ebay for bulbs i was reading this last night and had a squiz, picked up some 100w hb3's for my high beams for $6 inc postage http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...#ht_3020wt_1167 but there are also heaps of ppl selling d2r replacement bulbs they may not be as high quality as stock ones but if they last half as long its a good buy, plus you can get the colour you want http://shop.ebay.com.au/i.html?_nkw=d2r+bu...r&_osacat=0 -
i have 18x7.5JJ +42's on my s2 and they fit fine but they sit in the guards a bit (rs4s, narrower rear cradle) so they will fit but will not fill the guards much

think i saw skidkid roll through mowbray this morning was inside subway (car parked out front) will have to work out a stag meet once i stop being poor and have a bit of time, maybe when i'm on mid sem holidays

Rb25 Det Neo Ignition Timing Marks ?
pipster11 replied to DeanR33's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
dont you have to dissable the timing advance and the cam advance thingos while you do it tho? i know with some of the nissan motors you have to pull the tps off to lock the timing otherwise it advances and retards even at idle not sure how you do it on the noe's tho, but i'd like to -
yeah i'll just leave it maybe i'll redrill the rotors and put the old 2 pots on my 31 got my 34 fronts with pads, lines and rotors for $400 i'll see how they go for now then just gotta find some metalcast paint
-
yeah but if you think about it gtst rears are 297 (fronts are 296, if i'm remembering correctly) and the gtst (or gts25t) rears are 2 pots too i'm upgrading to 4 pot fronts so moving the 2 pots to the rear should help ballence i'll contact the guy running the front on his rears and find out if he is still retaining the stock handbrake so for the moment it seems like a no go, i shall delve deeper
-
sorry, should add that the 31 is a hr31 not adm 31
-
hey guys got my 34 4 pots ready to go on an i was just thinking, can i put the stock 2 pots on the rear? i know of a tracked 31 that has 32 fronts on the rear (i think) so would i be able to swap my 2 pots to the rear? anyone tried this before? any success? thanks Tom

bp is the only seller of 98 here, bar one servo in hobart that sells 98 average price for pb ultimate is about 21 ¢/L more than regular unleaded
-
jaycar iebc will do this also has 2 maps, so you can have 2 different ramp on rates or 2 different boost levels
-
try 150-154 for bp ultimate - state wide in tas normal unleaded fuel its 135 atm this state is seriously messed up

Hey guys, may aswell put up an EOI for my wheels i like the shape but not the offset, i'm thinking of getting some lenso d1r's but that will have to wait till i have some more moneys will consider swaps for other 18's atm if they have better offset (+25 or higher would be nice, gtr offset would be preffered) wheels aren't perfect and there is a little bit of rash on each one, no idea what they are called but i know they are 7.5" wide (225's on them atm) and are +42 offset should clear 4pots easily (2 pots on the front atm and there is bags of room) so no worries there (also about to put 4 pots on shortly) offset is really to suit gtst's or falcons or magnas really (higher offset) example of some of the rash (prob the worst out of them all): how they sit on my stagea (runs gtr offset): Price (cos i have to): $2000 - want to swap tho, and must be 18's cos i'll prob keep the tyres and just swap the rims I may also spray the wheels black if i get bored, i'm still undecided

Aircon/heater Fan Not Working In Car
pipster11 replied to FULOCK's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
pull out anything to do with the electrics of the fan (maybe the control unit thingo) open it up and check for bad solder joints - your still getting some power, just not enough google what bad solder joints look like if they are bad all you need do it heat them up a bit, maybe whack some new solder in and your done its a common problem on 32's due to older age, guess you got unlucky
