  1. my legs are too long for my body and my seat goes too far back for me so you should be sweet
  2. nissan sunroofs in my experiance cut headroom down a lot so if your going for the 260 then you will be fine its an awesome car and fits 5 comfortably if the gf drives, otherwise the ppl in the back seat complain a bit but the rear seats recline which helps a bit i seriously doubt you will have a problem tho whats a common car that you fit into?
  3. welome mate with the 260's, they are exactly the same as a normal s2 (just with a 3rd pedal) i'm just over 6 foot but i've got stupidly long legs (my legs are the same length as a mate who is 6"7' and i fit in my s2 (rs4s, which has a 3rd pedal too) fine, i actually have to have the seat forward a few clicks unlike most cars where i just drop the seat all the way back the only think you may struggle with is head room but you should be fine unless you get one with a sunroof, they look awesome but cut headroom down heaps overall they are real comfortable cars for big ppl (unless there are ppl behind you) best bet tho would be to go to an import dealer and sit in a stag, even if its auto and not a 260 also, local 260's are really cheap atm cos its hard to sell atm, could could pick up a bargain like i did
  4. nope gold would actualy be better because its better at reflecting heat than silver (hence why a mclaren has a gold lined engine bay) like i said, it doesn't look fancy but you can feel the difference in temperature inside the foam to outside and also quetens down the spool noise a bit too
  5. i finally made a heat shield for my pod went to foamland (dodgey tassie version of clark rubber) bought 0.5mx~1.0m of foam with a foil backing for $13.75 got the stanley knife out and started hacking away ended up with about a .4x.5 m piece left doesn't look pretty but seals around all the pipes and things well and looks like this: i'll add a cold air feed in when i get a chance/can be bothered
  6. looks pretty good gonna organise a meeting for the weekend i think just to discuss where to go nd stuff will post details later
  7. say what now? can you put that into a google maps thingo and post it up? i see mole creek in there, and i know targa goes through there, so i trust your planning post up what the route looks like and the distance and we'll take it from there
  8. thanks for the input guys if we try and have a small meet soon i'll bring a map and we can discuss where to go, where has nice roads, where isn't too far and all those things if we go up and around the tamar (to the batman) its got a couple of corners but its just nice cruising around there
  9. someone on boost brought up that the sideling gets no sun in winter and they had a cruise through there in winter before and some ppl struggled staying on the road so we might try and avoid that looking like just cruising up the west tamar, over the batman bridge, chill there for a bit and come down the east tamar also going to have a mini-meet soon to discuss the route further, probably this weekend in town somewhere
  10. i'll find a black pair and chop them on and repost was thinking black but that thread with the jap stageas at the track had a yellow s2 with white wheels and it looked good
  11. i photoshopped some lenso d1r's onto my stag today - dont have any money to put real ones on yet plus i wanted to see what they looked like white or black?
  12. Hey guys More details to follow but i'm trying to organise a cruise for the 26th June Meeting place is going to be Kmart car park (nearer to autobarn tho) Destination: Sideling (why not, they have also redone some corners for targa too) Anything is welcome - boostcruising members will also be coming so hopefully we get a decent amount of ppl showing up (do not attend if this bothers you) so who wants to come?
  13. what timing circuit for what cold pack features?
  14. actually its my 31 that has it, dam useful it is too
  15. pretty sure my 32 had a dimmer too, or maybe it was my s13 (but may have been aftermarket) i know that if you put led's in you cant dim them
  16. mine is either dim or off would love to know if there is any way to brighten it up also, its a great brightness for country roads at nite but useless in the city or any road with street lights
  17. i thought it was gonna be 292kmh in a stagea still a chance of a lifetime, the number of un-speed limited autobarns is only about 6 now too so it may not be long before they are all gone and 200kmh is considered normal for euro cars, a family friend just bought an new audi a4 and the handbook says to avoid long periods above 220 if possible lol whats the top speed ever set in an unlimited stagea?
  18. i just paid 144.9 for vortex 95 - tasmania sucks some of the best roads in oz but some of the dearest fuel
  19. just get a nisstune but do not take it it brad sherrif (boost automotive) the only ppl who are decent with tuning are in dev or hobart i've had gt garage in hobart recommened to me by a few ppl post up in the tas section here as to ppl's expriances around the state with tuners
  20. if you need a hand let me know and i can come round and tell you what i know i've adjusted a few coilovers b4 but im no pro, if you get everything setup near to how you want it just take it to a good suspension place and get a 4 wheel alingnment done
  21. 25? with the ecutalk display mine sits at 50-80 :S i'll check all my idle gear again but i cleaned it a few months ago
  22. would anyone be keen if i was to make a bracket to run gtr rotors under stock callipers? been a bit busy with uni work and havn't really gotten much further along with my setup yet but i've had a few ppl wanting to buy my 33 callipers so i might sell them
  23. run it up to temp then remove the ecu (2 wire) coolant temp sensor plug give it a go then and if it starts (pretty sure it goes to cold maps with it d/c) then you problem lies with that if those sensors fail, they fail at operating temp but normally work cold could also be the cas as its heat related
  24. a mate of mine has the remnents of his system from his 33 there is a box in the back that the cable runs to it that is controlled elecronically from the switch up front i dont have much more info for you but it was available on 33's too so you may have some more luck finding info on that
  25. the price of bp ultimate (only 98ron fuel available) in tas has been over $1.50 for a while now, and i know for a fact that there are about 6 or 7 stag owners down here, myself included, who have been running 95 with no problems i know everyone will get up me saying that its bad for the motor etc etc but i've been running it for probably 2 months now and i haven't really noticed a difference in performance and 80% of the time i'm just cruising about i guess 10 years ago 95 ron was still pretty average and nowadays the fuel quality is a bit higher, coupled to the fact that the engine management is pretty advanced for a 10 y/o car and is detecting the higher knock and dealing with it - oh and tassie is colder than back home in qld so less change of pinging too but back onto the topic of fuel, if you guys think your getting ripped, down here there is not much fluctuation its been $1.299 for ages for regular unleaded and bp ultimate goes for about 21 cents more per litre than regular and it also annoys me that when the price per barrel goes down the price of fuel does not
