  1. god dam it, thats horrible news finally got mine today and put it in - car loves it so does my mates bmw will have to buy a few bottles then
  2. maybe we will just do scottsdale/sideling i know it gets done quite often but its a good road and makes are reasonably sized loop
  3. this is how i bleed most rads (31 is a bit of a pain to do) grab a 600 ml coke bottle (or any soft drink) cut off the bottom tape up the top till its a snug fit inside the radiator filler squish it in a bit so it seals off pour water into it turn car to "on" position but not started crank heater onto hot as a mofo setting open that bleed bolt and take it out squish the rad hoses and the heater hoses if you can reach them i had a problem with a few mates cars after we drained the coolant, got a massive air lock in the system and it didn't wanna come out eventually it did and it needed about another 2 litres of coolant putting in can you remember how much you put in?
  4. i grounded out the solenoid via a switch so i can run low or high boost which happens to be about 5-7 for low and 10 for high i also have an electronic boost gauge and would happily swap it for a normal one
  5. yeah would be good few ppl have said that the beginning of lake hwy is good but the gravel is baaaad so there is another preposed route this or this
  6. cheers
  7. when you get a turbo high flowed they: split housings remove old impeller machine housing to accept bigger turbines fit bigger steel turbines to the core (usually by puting a new core in) balance core/blades put it back together bosch are harder to fit but flow more and are generally more reliable
  8. its in the tutorial section on here basically run a wire from the battery directly to the fuel pump and use the existing pump wiring to switch a relay that connects the direct wire to the new pump its more a trick for older skylines due to the current draw of the bigger pump and the older wiring in 32's you sometimes only get 11 or 12 volts at the pump due to voltage drop across the wiring so you dont get full flow out of the pump
  9. Hey guys Selling my 4 pot r33 callipers Good condition No rotors Heaps of pad left (think they only did a few 1000km) Just painted them in anodised red Chasing $300 firm Good upgrade for r32's, s13's, s14's or s15's Located in Launceston, but can get delivered to hobart easily Pm or txt 0422 988 328 Cheers, Tom
  10. bump still looking for a pair of front callipers and rears if they are cheap
  11. rb25 neo can be tuned - r34 ecu runs the show, its the r33 ecu that is untuneable 044 is an external fuel pump 040 is the same pump as an 044 but set up as an internal pump - the conversion has been covered on here heaps of times and needs a little modification but will be good for all the mods you want to do do the fuel pump relay rewire to get a constant voltage at the pump the afm will max out after the turbo stock turbo is good for 12psi max nisstune for 12psi and leave it for that, it will see you with good gains over the stock tune and you should save on fuel if you get a good tune then save for turbo, afm, injectors (afm and injectors max out at around the same time) then tune again and your done
  12. Some r34 4pot callipers? Hey guys, trying to track down some 34 4 pots If you know anyone with a pair that might consider selling can you let me know please! Thanks, Tom
  13. hmmm, maybe i'll try and organise that for the spring or the end of uni mmmm, last exams, west coast drive then to hobart then watch powerfinger
  14. x2 to fluid put some in asap also check the reservoir in the boot too, driver side pocket thing in the boot, its for the 4wd system
  15. s2? if not a nisstune is hard to do i've heard go bosch over walbro you can use xr6t injectors and space the rail a bit - only should be ~$500 and the are around 600cc i think (dunno about s15 injectors tho) if its a s2 then highflow the stock turbo cos its got the bigger rear housing (same as r34) and good for nearly 20psi and 270rwkw you will need a z32 for that much boost tho block should be ok for all of that tho if the tune is good personaly i'd do the fuel pump and nisstune asap a tune as you are now should get you at least another 20kw and should get your fuel consumption down then highflow then injectors (or both at the same time) and a retune whats your power goal? and budget?
  16. hmmmm, i thought this would be a problem for some ppl....... its just a bit of gravel and we're gonna work out if there is a way around it all you need is a full tank of fuel, good attitude, don't talk like a douche and bring a walkie talkie if you have one we'll stop for lunch in deloraine too so bring money for food
  17. where is this? i must drive it! also keen for an impromptu meet-up/cruise
  18. i could have sworn that the first route was 300km oh well, those that came to the meet up friday night expressed that the first road had some boring sections in it that weren't that good there was also some gravel/dirt on the first route too but realistically, how many ppl are bringing their show car along? gravel is fine to drive along as long as you dont go behind a boostcruiser lol
  19. it cant hurt to do that i rate coppers better than platinums or iridiums and .8mm is a good gap to go to if your uncertain if its coilpacks failing coilpacks usually go out slowly in skylines so they could easily be on the way out
  20. change the oil to redline lightweight shockproof its magic and may bring your box back from the dead - for ~$70 you could save yourself $$$$$$
  21. mine surges under heavy load sometimes - not massively but its there i'd say its coilpacks starting to let go the dont suddenly fail, just get worse if you can find some liquid neoprene you can coat the coilpacks in that to insulate them and hold them off from failing for a bit longer or high temp silicone is good too or just replace them - yellowjackets will set you back around the $400 mark and will be good for quite a few years to come splitfires will last a bit longer but cost more
  22. not quite sure what you mean there 15km total length difference or in terms of length of gravel? apparently the gravel on the route is pretty good quality, will just have to tell everyone to leave lots of room
  23. good one sau, dont tell me if there are new replies thanks to those that came, we've decided on a route the one that was suggested was good but a bit long how does this suit everyone? New Route its got a bit of gravel (good gravel roads apparently) but we will try and work out a way around that
  24. just washed mine after a run up the mountain on wednesday (was fithly after it) got a hose onto it and gave the underside a good spray i cant belive how much mud/dirt/rocks there were stuck under the side skirts and hiding away in the rear bumper i reckon about 20kg of dirt came off the underside and i dont think it was all from that one trip
  25. hey folks meeting up tonight to discuss the cruise further 8.30 in the birchalls car park in town (do some blockies after, lol)
