  1. pour a tiny bit of engine oil into each cylider and re measure the compression if it evens out the rings need changing, if it stays the same then the head it at fault (or head gasket) have a go at that and report back to us
  2. yeah, saw that prob some info around there that is new to sau tho
  3. sorry if this is old news guys but : http://stagea.co.uk/ seems like there is a bit of info there (links at the top didn't work for me, scroll down to the bottom and those ones worked)
  4. can you post up an dimensions you have? just did some research thought that 32 gtr was 280 but thicker than the gtst's but its 296 like r33's but 32mm thick any form of diagram would be awesome, i'm doing engineering so making a cad file is easy for me, and may even have access to some form of computerised cutter
  5. hey guys on the look out some some 324mm gtr rotors if you know of any for sale let me know thanks tom pm or txt 0422 988 328
  6. if you could make a cad up it would be amazing or even scan in what you took down trying to work out how to do the same but with r33 callipers i wonder what the biggest rotor you could do with a setup like this? also, what thickness are they? and what material? thanks
  7. i think i may make up a bracket as i may be able to get one fabbed up pretty cheap does anyone have a cad file for r33 callipers to gtr 324mm rotors? think someone around here mentioned that they had one cheers if you do, may be able to work out a cheap alternative to brembos
  8. is it a series 1 thing? my 32 had one, my s13 had one but my s2 stag doesn't not even the light on the dash i dont think
  9. i've bled the fluid on one wide when i tried to put on what i thought were r34 callipers and it was clean coming out, may not be top stuff but its clean and pretty new road in question is this one: The Sideling a guy from the thermofluids lab at uni said that he would skim my pads for me if i take them off looks like a good option for now, until i can source some 34 callipers
  10. hey guys need to get my hands on a set of r34 callipers let me know if you have some i'm in tasmania but will pay for shipping provided it doesn't cost the earth send me a pm or txt on 0422 988 328 thanks Tom
  11. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...ua-t296668.html basically an r32 radiator with an oil cooler built in use the oil cooler as a trans cooler and you have a 50mm rad to suit auto not sure about the price tho, $750 seems a bit steep thought i would post it up for all you auto guys wanting to upgrade
  12. well i've decided that stock s2 brakes are no match for the tassie roads had a good blast on scottsdale road and as i was coming down the other side i was loosing a lot of feel, heaps of fade and a real soft pedal (think i boiled the fluid too) will either have to source some 33 rotors or a set of 34 calipers (which are really hard to find in tas )
  13. who wears watches? i just rock up everywhere late i also have an amazingly accurate body clock and a 6th sense of when i'm late lol
  14. its central and virtually empty on sundays and pleny of parking i would be keen for a cruise around either the 23rd or may or 20th of june (possible the 13th of june too but may still have exams on)
  15. i think sundays are good options for the next meet, carparks are quiter, town is quieter and roads should be less busy too
  16. sounds exxy, just gonna get a cheap 2nd hand one ($20) and work out where its gonna go later
  17. but how do you tell the time?
  18. well i thought i had no cup holders cos it was manual but i saw another rs4s the otherday and it had the pop out double ones just above the sig lighter/coin tray where you have that gauge is exactly where my pillar mounted gauge is but its attached to the pillar i'll work something out
  19. all my din spots are taken up, got an rs4s so i have the [torque, volts, boost] din unit + stereo + air con not too sure where to mount it tho, running out of room got a boost gauge on the a pillar already, ecutalk below the head unit (where i should have cup holders but i dont have any )
  20. mad, someone near me is selling a basic calibre (i know its a cheap shit one but its better than nothing) oil pressure guage for $20 i'll go it now i'm just wondering if the stock sender will work with it (pretty sure the 34's had a pressure guage and not a temp)
  21. Hey guys, thinking of getting a guage to use up the redundant sensor on the side of the block r34's came with an oil pressure guage and there is a fitting for it on the side of the block (near the oil filter) i'm guessing its gonna be a fairly common size so...... whats a more usefull guage? temp is good because then i will know when the oil is up to temp and not just the coolant but pressure would also be good to know and more dangerous to the motor if it drops un-noticed whats everyones take? (just want one gauge because i know i can fit it without a sandwich plate) cheers, Tom
  22. Bumpy need to sell these so i can buy 34 callipers
  23. if you've got a digital camera that takes video you can use that, there are bits of software about that let you go through frame by frame and you can work out the exact point when you hit 100 let see some times ppl
  24. i wouldn't mind a gti-r to run about in - i used to get 10l/100km thrashing about town in my s13, sr20's are amazing also - dear bp, f**k you. ~$1.5x is a ridiculous price for ultimate, oil is only about $85/barrel and premium in melb/syd atm is 1.30-1.35 grrrr
