What are the specs on the pump I might be interested in buying, thinking of going over to E85. Cool might see you around. I was asking more what do I need to do for my car not to fail on the track, for example I have been told that street brake pads will only last 2 laps and then be basically useless. Engine oil cooling was another. Do you guys get this or have prepared for that somehow? This is mine but diff driver and rims than that pic. Same rego.

How much does a tune usually cost? I have a friend who gets his R33 and evo tuned tuned by his friend, evo tuned to e85 aswell but wondering the downsides/risks of road tune vs workshop tune? I mean if this guy trusts his car with him he must be alright? off topic what do I need to run e85? http://www.facebook.com/groups/Driftsales/306731592759916/?ref=notif¬if_t=group_comment

I have some little thing which gives me readings between like 12.0 and 17.0 (rough estimates cant really see it while driving) is that the thing that is supposed to be hooked up to the O2 sensor? It's also my turbo timer. I have an Apexi Power FC. I was looking at getting a wideband is that the same and/or better than an O2 sensor? The guy I bought it off said it needed a tune, how can I tell if it's the O2 sensor or it just needs a tune or is it a case of needing both? I'm super noob i'm just learning now.

Aircon Regassers In Melbourne That Use Hychill Hr12 Gas
jukic.j replied to funkymonkey's topic in Victoria
Just for the sake of others. I emailed enquiring as to why Burson said they had no hychill but were listed as a distributor and got this response: Hi Jesse That's very strange. We sell thousand of cylinders through Burson Auto Parts. The Heidelberg store itself has sold way over a 100 Kg's of our refrigerant in recent times. HyChill manufactures hydrocarbon refrigerant and sells it to distributors. Those distributors on sell the product to their customers. We don't have their customer list so it is a little difficult to say who exactly uses the product. I certainly have a knowledge of some workshops, but I'm not sure who in your area does. If Bulleen is close enough I can suggest some there. John Newton Manningham Car Care (03) 9850-8222 25 Greenaway St, Bulleen Wallard Automotive (03) 9852-2109 40 Greenaway St, Bulleen Bulleen Automotive Centre (03) 9852 1000 1-3 Greenaway St, Bulleen Hopefully they will be able to help. -
Wow, surely there are more of us in the east? Look forward to meeting any and all of you. If anyone is working on their car, i'm keen to lend a hand so I can learn some stuff and maybe get a hand with mine.

Aircon Regassers In Melbourne That Use Hychill Hr12 Gas
jukic.j replied to funkymonkey's topic in Victoria
Yeah well I went on their website and they listed Burson as distributor but I went to one place, they didn't have it and I asked for directions to Burson and they rang Burson as they are associated workshops they said they know nothing about it -.- So I emailed hychill and waiting on response from that. -
Aircon Regassers In Melbourne That Use Hychill Hr12 Gas

Thanks captain obvious... I used Google, then I trawled the threads here and i've also been to 6 businesses that do air-con re-gassing and some of them even did the ring around and no luck. -
Petrol explodes and so does LPG. Should we stay away from those in cars as well? Is it a danger to manifold?

Link no longer works. Can you still get hychill today? Is it still the best option? Have the prices changed much? I was quoted a weeks wait and $200+ from a few places and no sign of hychill -
Has this price changed much? I was quoted $200 from a couple of places WebRep Overall rating This site has no rating (not enough votes)

Need Insurance? Want Cheaper Insurance?
jukic.j replied to two40's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Section Four - General exclusions (When we will not pay a claim) "Unsafe vehicle your vehicle being used in an unsafe or unroadworthy condition and such condition caused or contributed to the loss. This does not apply where you could not have reasonably detected the unsafe or unroadworthy condition." Undisclosed and illegal modifications your vehicle if it has any: • modification which you have not told us about; and we would not have agreed to cover your vehicle if the modification had been disclosed to us; • modification which is not permitted by law in the State or Territory in which your vehicle is registered; • modification which would prevent your vehicle from being legally registered in the State of Territory in which you reside, unless your vehicle is unregistered, you have provided full details of the modification to us, and we have agreed to cover your vehicle. Basically this in my opinion is in there to keep them safe. This gives them the power to use judgement to not pay claim to someone who clearly is a f**k and doesn't deserve it or to pay someone who has perhaps just slipped up you know? Fair play policy applies kind of thing. If they didn't payout anyone that had a single illegal mod whether the owner realised it or not they would instantly destroy their rep and lose market share. Did you get any further with this? I just read the PDS and as far as I can tell it depends on whether the car was stolen or not, totally written off or not and if the car is 25 years or older. Depending on those you may either automatically get salvage rights (I think in the case of the older car because parts are rarer to get and so forth (hard for you to find, hard for them to sell)) If the car for example is written off they might choose to pay you out and recover some of the losses through selling what they can salvage. In the scenario that you do not automatically get salvage rights they allow you the first option to PURCHASE it off them for salvage. So you get to decide before anyone else if you want to buy it for salvage purposes. -
Who Insurances Imported Cars? Other Than Shannons...
jukic.j replied to Marko R1's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I know you corrected this statement in another thread but as I found this during my research so will others so I will confirm that they have changed on and off imports/classics. I got a quote for my R33 on 7/11/12 for $936 so they are covering that at least sometimes. My guess is they were just adjusting as they were swallowing chunks of market share.
