I just got my R33 and i'm not sure if it's my tune only or my cat is gutted out as well. I'm going to find out eventually when I get some time but my simple quick question was: IF in the scenario I find that my cat is gutted and I replace it. Will that make my exhaust much quieter? I ask because I currently have an exhaust noise infringement and that could be an easy kind of two birds with one stone fix.

I just got an R33 and I think I need this if I plan to do track days? Also should I figure out what type of bucket seat i'm going to get first?

Thread revival I just found out my sensor cable coming out of the cat is snipped and I can't find the cable that goes from the car to the cat but my question mainly is in reference to its importance in tuning. I am about to have my car tuned. Should I get this sorted out beforehand?

Tell me about it. Not sure if I want to go legit or cheat because it seems even if i'm legit I can still get the EPA notice for exhaust noise just under suspicion and you have to go through exactly the same bullshit process.

Ok so in another thread i've come to understand that the RWC part of exhaust does not cover noise level. I got EPA'ed 2 weeks after I bought my car so if it's going to happen with that kind of frequency it makes sense to fix it. Is that an unusually short period of time to get done for exhaust noise? I wasn't driving like a dick or anything I was in a 40 zone taking my partner out for dinner and got done in the street I parked in.

Bought car with registration Registered car must be sold with RWC EPA notice 2 weeks after purchase RWC lasts 30 days EPA'ed while still having a valid RWC Can I use that to fight off this bullshit EPA notice? It clearly states an exhaust system and emissions pass on the RWC.

No it's not stock exhaust but I still feel shitted about it because it's nowhere near as loud as a Harley Davidson for example and I only had the thing 2 weeks before I got done! I even still have a valid RWC from the sale!

I bought it with rego and to buy with rego you must provide a RWC as part of the sale, so yes it was deemed roadworthy condition. Defs keen for any kind of meet. In other news... got my first EPA letter... damn that was fast. FML Exhaust noise. Now to figure out what to do about this.
