Nsw:1998 Nissan Skyline R34 Gtt Gtr One Of A Kind
jukic.j replied to Turbz-R34's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I know it's worth more but i'm not looking to spend that much and as it's an urgent sale and if perhaps the sale becomes more urgent he'd be grateful that I offered more than the only other buyer. Not meant to offend, not expecting it to occur just making aware of a lifeline if he really needs that sale, you know? -
Legend, thanks

Hey So I have been a Skyline fan since I was a kid and unfortunately never had opportunity to make a car purchase a Skyline... Until now! I'm looking to get something cheap for my first one but still an R34, turbo, manual. something I can put my business logo on AND be the beginning of my motor sport for me. I think I have it nailed down to these 2 cars but i'm open to similar if you see any! The basic pro differences to my eyes are Navy: FMIC 19 inch Akita wheels Adjustable rear camber arms 171,000KM White: Heavy duty clutch Drilled and slotted rotors with extreme motorsport pads Turbo timer 138,000km Here is my assumed on road costs. Let me know what you recommend and why NAVY BLUE Purchase $9,500 Insurance $304 Registration $1,037 Coil packs $600 TOTAL COST $11,441 WHITE Purchase $11,500 Insurance $304 Registration $0? TOTAL $11,804

I'm buying a Skyline... What should I look for?
jukic.j replied to Merli's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
When buying an unregistered car (i'm in VIC) why does it cost so much to get it registered? (Posted here, thought it would be good to add. I used the calculator and it's telling me: Postcode at which the vehicle will be garaged: Please enter the Dutiable Value of the vehicle: (Formerly known as Market Value) Are you eligible for Pensioner Concession?: Yes No Do you have a Health Care Card?: Yes No Appointment Fee: Inspection Fee: Registration Fee: Transport Accident Charge: Insurance Duty: Number Plates: Motor Vehicle Duty: Total Fee Payable $: $1,037.85 for rego? Seriously? Ah my bad double post -
Sweet, see you all there.

I'm buying a Skyline... What should I look for?
jukic.j replied to Merli's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
About to buy my first Skyline, don't suppose anyone knows the prices of the tests I should have done on the car? I think a clearer idea of the specific tests recommended and prices would be handy to add to this thread. Does stateroads have one price or a small range of prices? -
I'm going to be joining the Skyline community very soon... finally! Was looking to come to this event. This might seem a funny question but if I rock up will I recognise the SAU gang somehow or what?

jukic.j replied to Turbz-R34's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Only the first picture loads. Got a proper link? I'll one up the "lo ball" at 11k, not expecting it just throwing it on the table as a courtesy as you say you really need to sell. -
Could someone be so EPIC and help me out, looking to join the Skyline club just wanted to know what info there is on this VIN 6U90000ER34013694 Cheers

Look nice but i'm Vic. Any idea what needs to be done to reg here? -
Have been looking at your car on carsales funny to find you here and then I was like oh sold... oh wait not sold uh... I had a question which may seem obscure but kind of vital. I have a steep driveway, am I going to need to get height adjustable coilovers to get up it? most cars going up and down it 'crunch'

For Sale! 1996 R33 Gts-T "wota33"
jukic.j replied to relaxalittle's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I had to post to say she is a thing of beauty this one. If I was spending 11.4k like you're asking this is the one I would buy, just showing a vote of confidence you've got a really nice set up and she looks really well maintained. What rims are they? -
For Sale R33 1994 Gts-T
jukic.j replied to Tony Sharps's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
[quote name=ClutchBurndout- ' timestamp='1337954112' post='6371485] yea im in the same boat as you mate, people dont seem to buy cars like they used to. Disclaimer: Just giving my insight because the thread has become conversational All very true comments above. I've been studying economics this semester and I might be looking into it too much but i'm thinking firstly given the global economic condition of the world is showing a restriction on 'big spending' and the first thing to go in terms of economic hits is the luxuries. I would classify the Skyline as a luxury. It's an expensive thing to run especially with increasing petrol prices when all it does in a utility sense is transport you. Although we all worship the skyline here (I assume) I think there is a definite long-term shift in the demand for this kind of car. These days it's becoming more and more important and fashionable to be 'green' or socially aware. This car goes against that so I think we will definitely see a much smaller buyer market for this kind of car which means two things. Firstly some people will sell theirs and Secondly that less people want to buy them. This is a bad thing for the sellers. Less people buying and more people selling prompts a double shift of the demand curve. Thankfully this time around i'm on the buyer side, I have seen some really nice skylines go for as little as 6k and even then I considered it but was not prompted to act. Although I think if there were another skyline that I was happy with for 6k i'd take it. There's my procrastination being joined with my revision for my economics exam. Hopefully this post is well received I just thought i'd take a moment to give my insight from the perspective of my studies this semester. I'm not saying that you should sell your car for 6k just to be clear as the market for skylines is monopolistically competitive because each skyline is unique each seller has a monopoly over their product and can earn a greater profit than the market price if the uniqueness is capitalised upon. I suggest if you want to get a good price for your skyline sell it based on what makes it unique to other skylines on the market. Firstly get some more pictures up. sounds obvious but it might just be the right picture at the right angle that captures someone's attention so strongly they just need to have it. also you're probably losign a lot of people because they can't see many vital parts of the car and just close the ad. Engine bay, front, rear. -
